Snow Zone

I liked it but didn’t love it. I LOVE my Taiwanese snow so much that I went scouring Taipei for it but snow zone seems outdated and lacks flavor for me. I think for the area it’s ok but I think I’d rather drive to Alhambra to the other snow places. Also the décor is bland and reminds me of a 1980s dessert shop. I would like it better if they had better flavors and toppings but probably won’t be going there too often with the current menu.

This little joint appears to be a local family run business serving boba, shaved ice, and ice cream sandwiches. I came with my boyfriend craving something sweet but was slightly taken aback after seeing the sheer number of options and combinations. Thankfully, the kind lady behind the counter patiently explained the different options and gave us plenty of time to come up with an order. We ended up getting the taro shaved ice with condensed milk and captain crunch cereal, and it was top notch. Sweet and pillowy, this is the dessert of your dreams. I highly recommend this place, if anything just to support a small mom and pop type business.

Finally some boba and shaved snow in the Redondo beach area! This is some yummy Taiwanese shaved snow!!! I don’t really like regular shaved ice because it waters down the toppings and if you feel the same way I do, then you gotta try this spot! It’s a block of flavored ice that’s shaved into fluffy snowy goodness! The boyfriend and I shared a large thai tea flavor! Excellent! Next time I’ll come for a mixture of coconut and matcha snow! Yummy! The owners and their kids are super nice. I love family owned businesses. They have boba and macaron ice cream sandwiches too! Gotta give those a try next time.

This snow ice place is good but not great. It seems like a mom & pop shop and the owners are very nice and friendly. The boba was kind of hard, but they do have lots of flavors and toppings. I would come here again and I would like to try some of their drinks and other things. There snow ice was good.

Oh Oh Oh! Amazing! You will experience the feeling of joy smearing inside your stressed brain! I had this with my friends like four months ago! It was amazing. I will definitely take my friends who don’t know about this place!
But, maybe not right now. Because I’m freezing in California.

They serve pretty tasty Americanized shaved ice. The texture of their ice is probably the best I’ve had in the states and extremely comparable to what you can find in Taiwan. I love that there are lots of flavors of shaved ice but I wish that they had more fresh fruit options for toppings. The couple that served us were extremely friendly. I recommend getting the mango shaved ice with fruit toppings and finished with sweetened condensed milk.

Owned by a couple who were so sweet when we walked in, it’s really clean and they have a good variety of shaved ice. They have shaved ice, boba, macaroon ice cream, slushies. Their shaved ice is so fluffy and fresh! I will definitely be coming back!

Love mom and pop shops. Stopped in a couple times. Parking depends on when you go… sometimes the entire block in front on PCH will be taken, but there’s a residential side street that’s an option. Sometimes there will be ample parking on PCH… part of me thinks that their location on this particular block is somewhat odd, might be better in a shopping plaza or strip mall, but I’m glad to see that there is at least one other customer in there when I go.
I’ve only gotten boba here. While the tapioca is perfection, the milk tea is on the powdery side. Was pleasantly surprised that the tapioca part is so good… I don’t think there’s another boba shop in the area, so this is your local best bet.
Looks like their specialty is shaved snow, which I’m looking forward to trying (and comparing to the 626!).

I’d love how to know they make shaved snow because it had a refreshing wintry taste to it. Obviously this is a great place for dessert and it’s worth trying out. Keep in mind that these snow bowls are pretty big so bring some friends with you.

This was a totally baffling experience, and I somehow ended up with green tea shaved snow with mango mochi. It was awesome.
Can’t wait to bring more people with me next time and confuse/​delight them.

I’ve tried quite a few shaved snow places, but this one would stand pretty high on the list. The fluffy texture and creamy taste is on point! Lol we tried the taro flavor with original mochi on top, but I definitely want to go back and try other flavors. The woman did mentioned that taro is their best selling flavor.
I got there around 9pm on a week day and it was empty, so I luckily found street parking right in front. During the day, it would be hard to parallel park on PCH. There was a man and a woman working and they were so sweet and helpful!
Really happy there’s a new shaved snow place close to home in the South Bay!

My visit to Snowzone was a nice surprise.
I really wasn’t expecting much walking in for the first time. Especially after the first 10 mins of feeling overwhelmed with the confusing menu. AND the guy behind the counter misunderstood everything that I wanted on the snow ice. I was extremely weary of what I was going to get… because after placing my order I had no clue what I just ordered.
Once my order was ready, not only did they get it right but it was nothing like I’ve ever tasted before. It was so creamy and light… I couldn’t believe I was eating ice. I got a small taro with red beans and lychee jelly. My boyfriend ordered a medium size strawberry snow ice. When it came out we could not believe this giant puff of pink snow. It took him a while to finish it. Everyone of us loved our orders. It was so delicious and we were already talking about coming back again.
Hopefully our next visit won’t be as confusing or overwhelming.

I love this place! My BF and I have been looking for a snow cream place for ages that competes with Blockheads. This is the first place we’ve been to that not only competes, but I think might be better!
The man and woman who greeted us were super sweet and so nice! We actually came in right before closing and felt bad but they let us in, told us it was okay and showed us everything on the menu and recommended flavors to us.
They have so many snow cream flavors and toppings! I was so excited looking at their popping boba flavors (mango! Passion fruit!) and mochi (chocolate, blueberry, strawberry!).
We got Thai tea snow cream with condensed milk and green tea mochi and taro (their best seller) with strawberry mochi and caramel. They were delicious!
I loved their Thai tea flavor, which really did taste like Thai tea and was light and fluffy. And my BF liked their taro flavor a lot!
This is my new favorite snow cream place and I will definitely be coming back again and again!

About time RB has a place like this!
I used to live in South RB. I remember one day I was in the valley (SGV) when I tasted one of these types of flavored shaved ice. I really envied people who had access to it all the time! I imagined opening a place like this someday. Well Snow Zone beat me to it and it’s fine since it wouldn’t have happened anyway.
I actually have a favorite shaved ice place I go to in Gardena. Snow Zone has more flavors but unfortunately they do not have blueberry flavor (bummer!) I got the taro flavor with strawberry mochi and condensed milk. Overall the quality of the shaved ice was fluffier. My toddler loved the strawberry mochi! The medium size was comparable to the one I normally get at the other place but with $ 5.99 price tag, it was pricier. I forgot to bring enough cash and if you charge any price below $ 10, there is 50 cent charge, again, I’m not against it as this is a small business and I’m sure the fees are high for the price being charged. And considering this is very close to the beach area where you have to pay higher price for real estate, I think it’s ok to charge a bit more. I recommend that you bring cash! Also, like other small businesses, no AMEX.
Overall I like the flavor choices and the quality. I also like the clean interior and especially the cleanliness of the tables, etc, considering shaved ice place can get really messy and sticky. I’m glad there is a place closer to home (I live in North RB now so this is still closer than Gardena I think?) where I can get my shaved ice fix. This place definitely has the mom n pop store feel to it. The family running this place seem very nice and friendly. I would like to wish them good luck.

I love a good gâteau, and I can’t say no to Napoleons, but sometimes you just want to keep it simple.
Keep it simple and affordable at Snow Zone where you can either indulge in shaved ice or just stop by for boba on your way to the beach. And unlike the beach, they actually have parking.
The Thai Tea and Milk Tea boba were a bit too sweet for me, but I think they’d be just right for most normal people.
The Shaved Ice is the real reason I go. The Mango is just the right combination of icy and sweet, and the green tea mochi is blowing my mind. The other flavors look just as good so go with your gut… Literally.
I don’t have a lot to compare Snow Zone with — shaved ice is a new thing for me. But I do know when something is awesome, and the shaved ice here is pretty great.

The snow is tasty, I liked the milk flavor best. The owners are friendly.
Boba was nothing out of the ordinary. Overall an okay place (nothing innovative), but the location is somewhat unfortunate.

Let me first open by saying amazing tasting boba teas and shaved snow!
This is a newly opened family owned shop with friendly and smiling faces working behind the counter.
We had two drinks and they were both so flavorful and there is no need to ask for easy ice! The drinks already come with easy ice so you can actually enjoy the flavor of your drink!
We had the Thai Tea with boba which had a nice strong flavor and the sweetness of the Mocha Frappé was right on. The Taro Shaved Snow was amazing. We kept it simple by adding lychee and red bean. The Shaved Snow was so fluffy and flavorful. This is a must have. We’ll be going back to the shop soon to try their home-​made Macarons for sure!
Their prices are great too. We could’ve paid cash for our order but they just received their new credit card machine so we charged it. :-)

Won’t be my first time! This is the only shaved snow and boba place around the area. It was actually good! These
kind of places are appreciated during hot summer days especially when one is craving for boba drinks and good dessert.
The ladies were friendly and gave us a little orientation of the menu. Family-​owned. Clean place with high chairs and tables. It’s along PCH. Parking at the back or front if u get lucky.
It was buy one get one free deal when we went and it won’t last. Less than $ 5 for a taro milk tea boba and mango shaved snow with one topping. The taro milk tea tasted like real taro root that’s why I loved it!

Snow Zone is now the closest boba shop to me, so I decided to try it out.
They’re having a buy one get one free special until July 26, so I got 2 Thai tea bobas for my brother and I. I was super stoked when it only came out to be around $ 3.25 or so for both!
The drink was really strong and sweet and overall a solid Thai tea. The boba was a little on the soft side, but had really good flavor and sweetness.
They also have snow ice and macaron ice cream sandwiches, which I’ll definitely be back to try!
The only downside to this place was the location. I had to park on the street, and if you’ve ever parked on PCH, you know the struggle of getting in/​out of your car, as well as finding the opportunity to leave your parking spot without getting run over LOL.
