Food is mediocre at best. I am baffled by all the four and five star reviews. We came here a couple of times. The first time we came was for lunch on a Sunday because I wanted to try their chicken tikka masala. It turns out they don’t serve lunch over the weekend. The waiter shoved us the dinner menu and said that was it. They don’t serve chicken tikka masala for dinner. With some disappointment, we picked some other dishes which were lackluster and resulted in indigestion later. Some weeks later we returned for lunch this time during the week since I still wanted to give it a try even though our first experience was disappointing. The second one wasn’t any better. The chicken was dry. The sauce tasted weird. I felt sick again afterwards. I love Indian food but this is no good.

It’s hard to get five stars from me. Everyone starts there, but eventually I usually find something that separates the absolute best from the rest. I definitely would not have thought that this place was going to get five stars, but it’s just too good not to. For starters, there’s the starters. So many interesting choices. Bacon wrapped shrimp won the evening. Highly recommend. There was bacon naan as well. Are you sensing a pattern? Any time bacon is presented to me as an option, I’m probably going to take it. I ordered the Chicken Biryani and it may be the best I’ve had yet. It’s consistently one of my favorite foods and this version is superb. Huge fan. The service was top notch and there were tons of interesting options on the menu. I will most certainly be getting back here eventually. Outstanding.

This place is a real find. My son and husband love Indian food and we used to have to go all the way to Amber India to get their fix. Not anymore!

I’ve never been disappointed by the food. I have enjoyed the chicken lahsuni, lamb saag, railway patties, so far. However note that the mustachioed manager is not friendly! He looked annoyed at my simple question. Waitstaff are very polite though.

Mediocre at best. I ordered through DoorDash so it might justify an actual visit to the restaurant since my thoughts on the food vary from the average review here. The waiter we had at Amber in Mt View even recommended this place. I love Indian food. I also love spicy. What we got was very toned down and just average. Nothing stand out or special. We ordered a wide array of food for 3 people with veg and meat options. Can’t comment on service.

Came here one day for lunch. Samosa Vegan — 5⁄5 these soft pastrys filled with flavor were a great appetizer. I wanted more! Chicken Tikka Masala — 5⁄5 classic chicken tikka masala. The white meat chicken was cooked very well and had alot of juiciness. It went well with the tomato sauce and the naan. I kept dipping and dipping and the whole plate was gone. The entire group loved this place and I am sure we will be back to try some other dishes! Tip: It gets really crowded here for lunch even on weekdays. Make sure to come a bit earlier to beat the rush!

Broadway Masala is absolutely delicious! Gorgeous establishment with fantastic customer service. The staff is always so catering and attentive. Some of my favorites are the Lamb Kathi Rolls, Chooze Makhni(Butter Chicken) and Saag Paneer. All are so flavorful and tender. You can tell they really care about the quality of their meat just by its taste. The chai and naan are always fresh and hit the spot. I usually don’t order dessert too often but got the Mango Kulfi last week and it was out of this world! The perfect balance of mango and creamy will have me ordering it every time.

Delicious food, wonderful service, classy atmosphere. Everything we ordered was delicious, and our waiter was very professional. It’s a great place to go for a nice dinner with friends or family. I’ll definitely return.

In Unilocaling history, I’ve rarely signed off on 5-stars. But this place… Their Amchuri Bhindi Masala(fresh okra, onions tomato, and dry mango powder). It’s spicy, sweet, tangy, and crispy. Free of okra-slime or grease. I had initially gotten it to share with my vegetarian husband, not expecting anything out of the ordinary. But that Mango Powder punched me in the face with full flavor force.

Okay if your in a hurry and all you want is to ram your food down your throat and move on with your day then this place deserves 5 stars. I prefer, especially when I am out with a friend to enjoy my meal at my own damn pace. I don’t appreciate being rushed and asked every 5 minutes if I’m almost done with my appetizer or my meal, thank you very much. The food is delicious and flavorful which is why I am giving them the 3 stars but the experience of the restaurant was rushed. We live in area with an abundance of restaurants and as a consumer I have choices and because of the lack of hospitality I will definitely choose to not come back and chose the variety of exotic restaurants with better service and equal if not better food than Broadway Masala.

Broadway Masala is the best Indian cuisine I’ve ever had! Location/Atmosphere: 5⁄5. The restaurant is nice, decorated tastefully, and not too loud. The location on Broadway in RWC is an ideal downtown spot. Parking can be difficult in downtown, so plan ahead for that if you’re coming at a busy time. Service: 5⁄5. Best service I’ve ever received at a restaurant, period! The servers and owners always remember me when I come in, and ask how I’m doing. The service is always prompt, kind, and respectful. Additionally, the employees here have a great attitude all the time. Food: 5⁄5. In a word, excellent. The dishes are a bit pricey and a la carte, so I don’t come here as often as I’d like. There is a great variety offered here — from less adventurous to the truly unique. Everything I’ve tried here has been delicious. The sauces for their main dishes are truly scrumptious – my favorite thing is to order a side of rice to cover in sauce from the main dish. Overall: Broadway Masala was one of the first restaurants I visited upon moving to CA. Today, it still remains my favorite.

Truly excellent Indian cuisine… probably a 4.5 star for me. We ordered the classic Chooze Makhni(Butter Chicken), Gosht Roganjosh(lamb), along with Paneer Tikka, Samosas and Naan. Talk about an incredible blend of flavors. After a movie, we could have gone to one of the restaurants in the complex, but instead took a short stroll down Broadway to dine at this gem. The place isn’t very large, so there can be a wait, but it’s worth it, I tell ya. I would go back in a heartbeat, and most certainly will next time. I touch pricey, but you get quality in return, so totally worth it. Cheers.

Broadway Masala is an awesome Indian restaurant. They’ve got a really unique fusion menu, with dishes such as bombay bruschetta and cajun chicken tikka. Broadway also has amazing service! Started with complimentary pappadums and… chinese shrimp chips(?). I was a bit disappointed that we didn’t get naan, but our server said it’s complementary for weekday lunches. I had such a hard time selecting what to order because everything sounds so interesting and delicious! — Avocado Bhel($ 6.95) – AMAZING! Not only is this a delicious combination of wonderful flavors and textures, it’s also BEAUTIFUL! Reminds me of a tuna tartar. Highly recommend! — Butter Chicken($ 14.95) – Great sauce and came with white meat. — Achari Baingan($ 13.95) – I was surprised to like this even more than the butter chicken. The eggplant goes so well with the delicious tomato and spices. Would order again! — Basmati Rice($ 2.95) This was definitely the most expensive Indian food I’ve had. However, the service is unparalleled. Our server was so friendly, attentive, patient, and helpful. He even scooped/served our food onto plates! The owner even came over to chat and check up on us. I’ve never had that kind of service at an Indian restaurant before. I’ll definitely be back for lunch on a weekday to take advantage of those specials!

Got take out from here a week ago: Saag paneer and one roti. It was really tasty and I requested no additional cream in the saag, which I was pleased that they actually followed. I gave four stars instead of three though because it was still pricey and I ordered in the afternoon. I came here once before for an eggplant dish and a vegetable dish. The eggplant dish was a little oily for me(it didn’t sit well afterward). The vegetable dish was okay. My friend likes to but he is more a fan of that than me. I’m a saag paneer and DSL makhani kind of gal. This the reason why I would return again for the saag paneer and maybe the kofta ;)

Delicious Indian Food with A+ Service The ambiance is lovely, and the service felt like I had sat down at an elegant steak house in NYC. The owner was walking around, checked on us often, and made sure we were constantly satisfied. Now to the important part, THEFOOD: to die for! Really delicious, & mouth-watering Indian food. I even branched out and tried a new dish(which I was nervous to do at an Indian Restaurant) but it was so tasty. We got the Truffle Oil Tekka Chicken Tikka and Lahsooni Khade Masale ka Murg: highly recommended. On top of everything, it is very affordable! 2 entrees and a stuffed nan set me back only $ 40. Can’t wait to go back!

My friends and I had never been here before, so we decided to check it out. Located in the heart of downtown Redwood City, it has a nice modern atmosphere. The service was efficient and friendly. They even served us our main dishes so we wouldn’t run out of space on our table. We started with the samosas and the Broadway Paneer Tikka. Both were flavorful and satisfying, and were devoured within seconds. For our main course, we shared the Ajwain Salmon Tikka, Fig and Walnut Kofta, Chooze Makhni, Stuffed Naan with Onions and Cilantro, and Plain Naan. All were wonderful, and just needed a bit more spice to give the dishes that extra kick. Their Naan was some of the best I’ve ever had — fresh out of the oven, soft and buttery. YUM! Will definitely come back when I’m in the area.

One of the restaurant, that you can’t go wrong with. Most of the items on the menu were unique or with twist to traditional dishes. We reached there on a busy Saturday evening, to find it was packed and booked for most of the evening. ‘RAJ’ is the man, he ensured us, he will accommodate us as soon as he can and after waiting for roughly 20 minutes, we were seated and immediately greeted with complimentary dish while we decide the order. We went with Bombay Bruschetta and Paneer Kaju Makhana with Garlic Naan. The food was served very quickly and it was hot and fresh, as expected it tasted yum. Tip: Their garlic naan and mango lassi are with trying.

Loved the food, loved the service, loved the location. The manager, or host, whoever he was, could use a chill-pill. He was very frazzled.

This place has been at the top of my bookmarks so quite some time, I just haven’t gotten the chance to venture out to Redwood City until this last weekend. Came here for lunch, very excited to try all the fusion Indian chaat dishes and I wasn’t disappointed. Got the: Bombay bruschetta– their version of pao bhajji, but it is not spicy and has a great taste. If you like your spicy food, ask for it because what they give you is pretty mild. Avocado bhel — bhel puri with avocado and OMG this is was so yum! Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before? This dish tasted very fresh and was the perfect mix of flavors, I loved it! Broadway paneer tikka — very similar to tandoori paneer. Was a good mixture of flavors but was a little too bland for me. Mushroom stuffed naan w/raita — interesting twist to stuffed naan but I didn’t get to taste very much of the mushroom flavors. Would probably recommend getting this with some curry instead of just having it with raita. Overall it was an interesting and fun experience! Loved their take on all the different indian traditional foods and would recommend it to people looking to try something new!
