I just received amazing service at this location from Dino. So helpful, and was generous enough to assist me in replacing my headlight bulbs. Thank you!!! Amazing customer service from him that you just don’t see at most retail establishments anymore.

A really great store! Good selection, great help from Eric, one of the employees, and we even got a 10% military discount. Go.

The people who work here are so lazy, the guy got upset because he had to walk five feet to get me a receite. No smiles, it was like, duh do I have to wait on you, cant you go to. Another store

Their customer service is awful, but they always have what I need.
This last time I was there, the guy scanned some extra items without asking me first, then told me I needed them. I told him to please take them off my bill.
This guy was also super rude to me on the phone when I called in beforehand. I’m assuming I got this treatment bc I’m a woman.

This is the third O’Reilly store I’ve been to where the products just fail me. I think third time is a charm and I will only stick with Autozone, Napa, and Pep Boys. Came in to buy a floor jack and came out with an AC Delco floor jack. I try to use the thing, but it would not function. Oil started leaking out. I returned it, and the line was really long and slow, even with four people. I can’t blame them for that, there’s a lot of people in Redwood City now.
Anyways, comes time for me to return the jack and the guy asks me what was wrong with it and I told him that oil just started coming out. He looked at me like I was making up the story just to return an item I probably used just once, but, truthfully, this product failed. He told me that no one has returned a floor jack before, but I told him that this product failed me. I got my money back, but O-​Reily is pretty much done for me.
Overall: Ok products, good price, good service

Misleading staff with racist undertones. Went in for a specific item that was listed as in stock at this location. The first employee I asked was stocking the shelves, he should know where everything is, right? Maybe not. He seemed reluctant that he had to a) interact with a customer and b) respond in English. He said they don’t sell anything remotely like the product I was seeking. I explained that the computer says they do and the item is in fact in stock at this location. He responds that I should call the computer people. Two employees later, I’m standing in front of the product. The San Carlos location has a much more friendly and welcoming environment.

I went in there at 8pm and the line was literally down the aisle. There were 3 ppl working at the front. Granted some customers in there are just dumb when it comes to cars so it takes a while to get them out. I get it. what I don’t get is why not open a register just for those that want to buy and leave? Do I have to wait 25mins in line because some lady wants to charge a 10 year old battery cuz she’s trying to save money? Come on management. Step it up. The workers need some direction and that’s where you come in.

Needing windshield wipers. Found them was a little confused about how to put them on. Sales guy kindly asked if I knew how to put them out I said I wasn’t sure. He quickly volunteered to come out and put them on. Great service.

Not the nicest store in terms of presentation (although probably typical of auto stores) but the customer service was fantastic! They helped me figure out what kind of coolant I needed and appropriately put it in my car, all within just a few minutes. Problem solved! Hopefully I’ll never need to come back, but I’d definitely recommend this place to a friend.

Bought a car battery and wipers from Maximilian. He switched them both out for me. Couldn’t ask for better service.

I had the best possible customer service possible from a very helpful employee Ryan. I went to an O’reilly’s locally in Saratoga CA the employee there gave me the wrong belt after talking my ear off for 20 minutes when I left they were just closing. I went home to change the belt and realized it was the wrong size and now to late and I needed it fixed last night there was no other option. So I searched what auto parts stores were open later and this was the only one open till 10 pm. I called and Ryan answered and said he had the right belt and verified I had the wrong one. He put the belt to the side and I made it to the store just in time with 3 minutes to spare and was able to buy the right belt I fixed my car last night and was able to drive to work today without my battery dying and me loosing my job. Ryan was a life saver I highly recommend him he’s polite, knowledgeable, and gets the job done right and fast.

I needed to have the battery in my key fob for my Toyota Prius replaced. This would seem to be a quite simple matter well within the capabilities of employees at an auto parts store. The employee I asked about this did not know how to do it. Only when I requested she find someone who did know did she ask the other employee near her to try. He could not do it either. No apology, no attempt to find someone else. I made a trip out of my way today to the Toyota dealer’s parts department, where the employee successfully installed the new battery, quickly and professionally

BIG o’reilly store! then again, i have only been to one other o’reilly, which is the one in mountain view, and a bit on the small side. this store is located inside woodside central shopping center at center st & el camino real, and is connected to wheel works, so you can take care of all of your car needs at once! as i said, this store is pretty big, b/​c as soon as i walked in, there were general bins of merchandise in the front, and as soon as i turn the corner, there were at least 6 aisles of merchandise in front of me! and very well organized i might add. everything that i would normally expect to find at o’reilly is here, and more since the selection is greater. staff is friendly as i was greeted upon entering (i don’t recall ever being greeted at the mv store). this will be my new go to store for all of my automotive needs!

If you ever need an auto part in a hurry (i.e. you can’t wait for one to arrive in the mail), this is the place to go. They have a large stock of various parts, so you’ll probably always find what you’re looking for. I usually call ahead and ask, though, just to make sure.
The only bad thing about O’Reilly’s is that they always seem to be understaffed. The lines at checkout are always long and slow, and if you have to ask someone behind the counter for an auto part, he’s probably busy helping three other people in front of you.
Still, I don’t come here that often (most parts can be found online for less), so I don’t mind the hassle for a part that’s needed ASAP.

The quality of staff has declined sharply in this store since its conversion to O’Reilly’s. I wanted to buy a hydraulic floor jack and called in to ask what they had in stock and what the lift ranges were. I was put on hold or cut off, and had to call back 5 times on this request. Each time I got responses — after incredible wait times — that showed the staff did not understand my request. «Lift range? 24.99 and up.» «The jack stand goes up to 2 feet.»
I finally did get some specifications that made sense and asked,“How much is the jack?” The man answered,“I don’t know, I don’t work here. I’m from Wheel Works next door and just trying to give these folks a hand.“
If you want skilled help — and why else would you call an auto parts store — don’t call O’Reilly’s. I don’t know if I’m too far off if I guess that their staffers only have a grade school education.

Was put on hold for 15min and forgotten. Called back, was put on hold again and then they hung up on me after 2 minutes. Called back a third time and after about eight rings they picked up, and just hung up the phone without speaking.
By comparison, the San Carlos location was fast, friendly, and took my order over the phone without putting me on hold, and was even pleasant on the phone.
Take your dollars elsewhere.

Needed some synthetic oil in-​between maintenance cycles from my dealer. (yes, I am one of those people!)
Not only did I get help with selecting the right oil, the manager helped me check my oil level and poured it in for me. :D My hands didn’t get dirty one bit.
SUPER DUPER Service!

I called ahead to make sure they had a car battery that fits my car. They had one left so I figured I would go and try to replace my battery in the parking lot.
Anthony is the reason this all worked out… he was VERY helpful to the point that he even found the best tools to reach deep beside the battery to remove a metal holder that I could not have reached otherwise.

I like a clean G-​Ride. Really clean. Most people remark at how clean I keep my car and that’s exactly right. Pristine inside and out. Oh yeah. I’ve been spoiled for years having a garage for my last two Rides, and now that I live in a house, must (gasp) park. it. outside. This breaks my heart as just hours after a nice cleaning I return to find a layer of pollen, twigs, leaves, bugs, etc. covering it’s pretty blackness (oh, and I guess black cars are going to be outlawed says the thread?).
I was awakened at 0500 this past Thursday morning, and while twiddling my thumbs for something to do, got on the road to be at Lozano at 0700 for a G-​Ride Special. Today I went out to the car and it was a pigsty. Enough.
Most of the time I am patient and will comb online for a bargain, etc., but today I was so pizzed about my car that I bolted to the first auto store I could find. I walked in and found something sturdy yet economical to just keep the crap off of my baby. $ 34.99 and I was on my way.
The cashier was very friendly. Parking was easy. The cover was cheap.

. The local Sunday paper usually has lots of coupons for normal consumables needed and you can print them from the website. Good deal for those who like to change your own oil, they usually have promotions on various manufacturers and it’s definitely worth checking the coupon section first.
What’s also great is that this particular facility accepts used motor oil, oil filters and automotive batteries.
