Dune Country Atv Rentals

During the busy 4^th of July weekend we arrived for our prescheduled rental. Things started out poorly as we had to wait a bit while they finished getting our 3^rd quad up and running. While this was happening we got a very good orientation to the dunes do’s and don’ts. Our 3^rd quad came out and the starter cord broke on the first pull. Employee tried to send us on our way with no way to restart it should we need to. Ugh. Waited 10 more min for a functional quad and off we went… for 200 yards. This one had a bad clutch, so back we went. Our next quad lasted an hour before it began throwing its chain every 20 yards. After replacing it a dozen times in a quarter mile I gave up and rode my daughter’s machine back for help. Bottom line: 5 machines tried, 3 broke. I would absolutely not recommend renting from these folks. Machines are poorly maintained and not suitable (power & tires) for the dunes. All that being said, the staff was very nice and knocked 50% off our rental.

This is for the ATV rentals. We were first time riders and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. We were walkins (aka no reservation) and they were super friendly, thoroughly explained everything for first timers and gave a great overall experience.
We rented 2 250 CCs and those were perfect. I’m about 150lb n my gf is 100lb and they were plenty of power for these dunes.
Only thing is to really listen to their directions. While this area was fine for beginners there were some very steep dropoffs and the sand is all so clean it can look like a whiteout.

Incredibly friendly ATV rental place. A little out of the way. We were directed there by another dune rental place since we had 3 kids, 2 who had never driven ATV’s before. These guys have 2 Polaris 90’s and lots of 250’s — a little underpowered but perfect for families and first timers. The pricing is better than most places as well — $ 40 for the 90 and $ 45 for the 250 for an hour. 3+ quads get a 10% discount — which he gave us without us asking. Highly recommend this place!
