Queens Discount Bicycles

I came in on Saturday and it was a bit too busy for me to be taken care of since there was only one man working and a lot of customers kept coming in with straight forward questions. I checked around for other local bike shops but this one had the fairest selection with bikes from all ranges so I decided to come back today and boy was I glad I did.
I was helped by a really nice gentleman named Carlos who helped me get my Giant Alight 3 bike to working order and made the seat to my preference whilst also suggesting a Kryptonite lock for those times you wanna leave your bike on the street for more than 5 mins. I also bought a wire basket for the front of my bike but then realized it was scratching the frame so I forwent it. And Carlos also suggested a nice gel seat cover for my boyfriend’s bike for added comfort. But overall, a really amazing bike shop if you come and see Carlos. I’ll definitely be coming back here since they give you two years of service for a bike purchased here.

Caveat Emptor! I had a bad experience here buying a simple floor pump. My intention was to patronize a local mom and pop store rather than Amazon or other mega site. The owner sold me a Giant brand Control Tower 3 pump for $ 40, and I assumed it might be near or at the manufacturer suggested retail price. (There were no hang tags with the prices) I did not do my homework in advance, and when I got home, I saw online that the Giant website retail price was $ 32. I’m sure it’s legal to jack up the price, and I have no one to blame but myself. But you should choose if this is the kind of business where you want to spend your money. Next time I will go to Spin CIty a few blocks away.

One of the worse bike shops I have been to. They dont stock anything I went there for cotton rim tape and they did not have it. I called for crank puller they did not have it. I called in for a track cog they did not have it.
Very bad customer service I would not recommend going to this shop. If you are around the Queens Center Mall neighborhood I would suggest going to Spin City cycles which is a 5 min bike ride away up the BLVD they are top notch
