While I love having a Starbucks in my hood, I hate the set up, the lack of management and the customers who LIVE there. There’s one man in particular who seems to be the king of this location. He is at the bar seat at the window, with his laptop and his belongings, his chargers etc., all soread oyt and surrounding him. I dont even think he has any starbucks products, i thibk he may nirse a coffee or get cup afyer cip of water. Sometimes, his things are thwre but he isnt. He gives loud opinions to his«friends». Numerous times ive seen him skeepung while at his computer. A great image for people to see in the window. While he’s harmless, he is obnoxious and abusing the realm of being a patron. Unless he’s the owner, he needs to limit his time there. I cannot stand people who consider starbucks to be THEIR office space. I hate that to move a chair you have to scrap it against the floor because they are oddly heavy. The baristas are a mixed bag from downright rude to pleasant. The several«BAR» like tables are a nuisance, first they are two high, short people have to climb up to sit, second the fact that there are two chairs for each table means it should adequately seat two people. Well more often than not these are occupied by one person and their laptop, rendering the second person’s seat moot. Two people can only sit there if they want to drink coffee only. Finally, when you sit at the communal long table, with your laptop there aren’t any outlets to charge. Perhaps this was intentionally, to keep people from lingering there all day, but I find it to be a flaw in their design. THATALLBEINGSAID, I still love the jolt I get from this ridiculously expensive and elitist coffee, which is the only reason I keep coming back.

Omg SOSLOWWWWWW. the staff was very nice and polite so I’d give them 4 stars for that. However it’s such a drag to come here because you can NEVER be in and out like most Starbucks. It’s no mystery when you go to Starbucks u expect to wait a little longer than say dunkin donuts, because the quality is superior and the orders can be more complicated since most people aren’t just ordering plain coffee. That being said though, it’s always been about 10 – 20 minutes wait on line, then you get to the register just to have them tell you half the stuff you can order isn’t available at the moment or that they’re «making it now can you wait 10 – 15 minutes?» Um, NO, NEEDTOGETTOWORK, SCHOOL, PICKUPKIDS, I CANTSPEND30 – 40MINUTESHEREBEFORE I EVENGETMYCOFFEE!!! GETITTOGETHERFOLKS. LETSGO.

Updated: April 2016 I’ve had to update my review because it’s my local Starbucks. They have definitely improved from my first initial post. I asked for Cold Brew one day, they finished and the barista recommended me another drink. They have been more attentive and working quicker! Keep up the great work. I love that there’s a Starbucks nearby now but c’mon guys! Why are the employees in such a bad mood all the time. I’ve gone during all periods of times, from slow times to busy days. The employees are not energetic, not friendly– the environment stinks! There’s plenty of times I walk up to the register, and no one is there to greet, or they take their time to say Hello and take my order. I don’t blame the baristas but management needs to change at this location, your allowing your people to provide poor service!

I specifically asked the cashier for a decaf latte, after which we had a whole conversation about how it’s already late in the day and we can’t sleep if we drink caffeine. She was very sweet and marked decaf on the cup. But, I’m pretty sure that the barista totally disregarded this because a few sips into my drink I could tell that the drink definitely had caffeine. I already had a double shot of espresso in the morning, so this made me feel awful. I couldn’t finish the $ 5 drinks and wish I had never bought it. Baristas really need to be careful doing things like this. What if I was someone with a medical condition or taking medication that conflicts with caffeine?

The worst customer service I have ever encountered. I was standing at the register for about five minutes until the barista noticed me. Also, there is absolutely no excuse for having only two people behind the bar during the morning rush hour. People are in a hurry and the line needs to be moving, you can’t have both of your baristas away from the register making food or complicated espresso drinks. There needs to be someone who is always at the register moving the line forward, especially for the majority that just needs to get a simple coffee and be on their way.

Worst Starbucks ever. They stopped asking for customers’ names. I ordered a grande ice coffee with half and half and sugar. And they made an ice coffee with milk and no sugar. But since there’s no name on it, it might have been someone else’s order. Usually there’s only one person taking orders. Sometimes I see them chitchatting with no one taking orders.

Okay I do love that there is a Starbucks right near my place but the environment that the staffs give you if kind of off. No greetings or anything. I stood there waiting in like and it wasn’t busy at all. I was actually the only one in line. One of the worker sees me but ignores me. I waited patiently. Instead of greeting she turns around back to me and just stares at me not asking what I want to order. So I assumes that’s how she takes orders. by staring at you and no saying anything. This happen more than once. I’m kind of annoyed of it.

I love Starbucks in general, but this location is bomb. I love the seating, its never packed so there’s always a seat for me. The baristas and cashiers are friendly and I don’t have to wait like forever and a day for my drink the way I do at other locations. Also the location of this starbucks is super convenient for me personally. Love!

This Starbucks just moved into the neighborhood about a month or two ago, which is just fine my me for at least two reasons: (1) It’s a block away from my house and on the way to the subway station — can’t beat that! And, (2) $ 5 coffee is a clear sign of gentrification. One downside to this location is that it can get pretty busy. There are two long tables down the middle of the store which gives it a nice communal feel and maximizes space. In spite of the layout there were a couple of times where it was tough to find seating for two. Unfortunately, more seating and more people also means that it’s louder than some other locations I’ve been to in Queens. More traffic is great for the business but not so great for enjoying a quiet read or conversation.

The service is so suck. Just one small coffee, have to wait about 10 mins. Let’s customer wait without any word. Look like good but not at all.

I recently had the worst experience I’ve ever had in any store, of any kind, anywhere in this Starbucks. On the very first day of the«grand opening» of this store I asked for my donut to be warmed up and the employee snapped that they don’t do that. I was a bit surprised. I stated that every Starbucks did it. The donut was finally warmed up. Situation fixed yes? No. From that point on I was the enemy. Every employee treated me like garbage. In fact, one day my wife went into the store and asked them to heat up her muffin and they actually began to talk smack about me to her and the other employees. Hilarious. Fast forward to two Sundays ago… I went into the store and ordered my $ 40 dollars worth of food and coffee and as I ordered I commented on how much I disliked coming in there. Actually I said, in a normal non intimidating tone, that I hated coming in there. The employee snapped at me and asked«THENWHYDOYOU???»!! Whoa! She immediately, I mean immediately, said I’m not serving you and told the next employee to call the police! They actually called 911 on me!!! On the way out, mortified and upset, I pointed toward the employee and said that I was going to get her fired. Easier said than done. I went home and I was shaking. I told my wife and then she went over to get our stuff and decided it would be good to video record her experience. THEYCALLED911HERTOO!!! LOL! I went on the Starbucks website and complained right away… ok…to make a long story endless… I went through five supervisors on the 800 number and then got to a district manager and wasn’t satisfied and then got to the regional manager who seemed would be helpful. Actually she was. She spoke to the employee and the employee, and other employees said they feared for their safety. I asked her to look at the surveillance video to see that I wasn’t scary as the employee stated I was. Evidently she thought I was confrontational as well. No matter how much or how little… confrontational non the less. The employee still works there. I went in today and it was like going to the dentist. I asked for a decaf and they gave me a super dooper caffeinated quadruple venti coffee… I almost painted the apartment today lol… I probably won’t sleep tonight either. So… lesson learned. Low expectations my friends. If ya keep them low you won’t be disappointed when the situation stinks! I’m sure Howard Shulz would love to hear this lol… I’m too tired though. HOWEVERCOMMA, I love love love every other Starbucks I’ve been to in every other city and state I’ve been to in my worldly travels.

Coffee is good but service could be better. Sometimes they write your name on the cup, sometimes they write the drink order. I ordered a drink and waited by the pick up area. When they called my order, the customer behind thought it was hers since we ordered the same drink. Since there was no name label on who the drink was for, it was very confusing.

I love the fact that they finally brought a Starbucks to my neighborhood as I am an addict! I’ve been to this location a few times now that I have discovered its existence and have taken note on a few things. The employees are courteous however in my opinion, overwhelmed? No one has given me attitude but Starbucks is a popular franchise and requires more than 3 workers per shift. I would like to add that I do have more patience than the average New Yorker(social work would do that for you) but there shouldn’t be any reason why I’m waiting for a frappé for 15 minutes as that happened on my last visit. It wasn’t at its busiest either however I imagine it must be overwhelming to keep track of which orders come in first. Being that the employees is tending to customers there doesn’t seem to be a time where one employee can step out up tidy up the venue. I sat here for an hour waiting for my hair stylist to call me so I had time to observe! Again, Starbucks is well known for its long lines and long waiting period, 3 workers to a shift will mug help with this. 3 stars for location and cordial employees! Yay, Starbucks is here!!!

Coffee is good as like all Starbucks, but the Employees suck, bad attitudes rarely a hello or a good morning, they shove you in and out like cattlle, even when it is not busy. I shall still have my coffee here, but the bagel store across the street has way better service and 100 times better staff.

So happy to have a Starbucks this close to my house, 2 block walk and I’m there. It’s such a convenient location; next to everything else I go to. I’ve only been once and the experience was the Starbucks experience which is usually good. I’ll definitely make this my new Starbucks home.

This place is a hit or miss depending on the day and who’s working. I’ve been here a total of 7 times as i work nearby and out of the 5, I’ve had 2 positive experiences. The other times everyone looks like they hate their job and they have a lag time with individuals getting their drinks;(like severally more than normal). I haven’t seen a consistent staff member so i don’t know if maybe their rotating individuals until they are able to get a full staff. I really want to blame the inconsistent service with the fact they are still relatively new; even though its been about a month since they’ve opened. I just hoped for better service as it has the Starbucks name. We shall see.
