Atlantic Liquors

We were driving down the highway and we hit a lot of traffic — a lot! While at a complete stop, we realized we were right in front of Atlantic Liquors and thought why not?
This store is a combination of a warehouse and liquor store. They have a great selection of liquors and California wines. They also have a large selection of wine coolers — who woulda thunk it?
They also give samples of various liquors which is super nice.

They have everything! Highly recommend them for your beach drinking needs.

This place is HUGE… At least for someone from Manhattan who’s used to the quaint little wine shops. It’s also really cheap compared to Manhattan (shocker), so I always buy around a dozen bottles or so. If I could carry more, I’d buy the whole store.
They obviously don’t just sell wine, but their wine selection is so big that if you’re a wine lover, definitely stop here!

Wine and beer heaven! Very dangerous for my husband who has difficulty making decisions. There are craft beers, domestic beers and imported beers oh my! There is an aisle for each type of wine so I had fun looking at the various cabs. I don’t think you will be disappointed with the selection here.

Do not shop here for wine!!! We purchased a fine dry French rose’ at Atlantic Liquors that we know well and drink at our home. As usual, We opened and tasted the wine before pouring. We immediately noticed the bouquet was off and the taste was way off. It had to have been exposed to extreme high temperatures that hot June by the distributor or the store. We took the bad bottle back to Atlantic Liquors to get our money back the same day. We were told the state of Delaware does not allow them to take back an open bottle of wine for any reason– they were not allowed to take the bottle back. We questioned them «even if it’s spoiled, or the cork is bad? «No» not under any circumstances. Having lived in Delaware for 20 years prior to moving to New England, we told them that was not the truth. They insisted and we left the wine there and left the store, no wine, no refund! The next week we contacted the liquor control board and other agencies in Dover DE and we found out that the folks at Atlantic Liquors had lied about this! Spoiled wine can be returned and refunded or credited in Delaware. We will never buy anything there again!

We usually go in here regularly. We went in tonight after dinner to buy champagne for mimosas for brunch. The obviously foreign lady at the register asked if I had been drinking tonight. I had a glass of wine at dinner and I am no liar. I said yes, earlier, and she said she was unable to serve me. I was not acting obscene and had a dd. Atlantic liquors will no longer receive any of our business. Absolutely awful to regulars

We come here once every three months or so and drop a hundred bucks on various six packs, wine, and liquor. We always grab six packs of various micro and craft beers that we’ve never tried before and never have a problem finding new ones. They have the best options of any beer /​liquor store I’ve ever set foot in. Isles, I’m talking ISLES, of any kind of alcohol you could imagine. Budweiser-​type brands, craft/​micro-​brands (local and all over the U.S.), international brands, party drinks (shooters, pre-​made shots, bagged drink concoctions, etc.)…literally anything and everything.
It’s always an adventure — not to mention the music they play in there reminds me of Weekend at Bernie’s.
How I describe Atlantic Liquors to my friend is to imagine the set up of your local grocery store. Each isle has different groceries. Now substitute that with alcohol. The beer section of the «grocery store» will have isle (s) for your basic Budweiser or their recently coined term «Macro» brands. Another isle (s) will have all the craft and micro brews you could imagine — and these isles will be broken up into local, seasonal, favorite, etc.
I think I’m done wasting my time writing a review for a liquor store cause I have better things to do but… do you get my point? Check this place out and you’ll end up walking out with more than you anticipated buying.

This was an amazing experience! This is a wine and liquor store on steroids! They have everything imaginable and then some. Found what I was sent to pick up quickly, but then spent almost an hour looking around and buying things that weren’t needed, but were hard to find locally near home. Make sure you stop here to buy your booze while at the beach. You can’t go wrong with the world’s largest selection!

World’s best liquor store– sorry for the extremism. The required stop on the way to the beach– not optional. The Eastern Shore Mecca of happy sauce. Their wine and beer selection is second to none. They have everything and reside in DE just north of OC Maryland so no taxes! They not only have everything to cure what ails you but they have sample size quanities– like individual craft beers by the bottle in the fridge and ready to go. I got to sample a lot of brews I otherwise wouldn’t have tried. And they have their own brewery– 16 Mile — how cool is that? If you can’t find it here, you can’t be satisfied. Get help!

I live in lewes and love this store. I have visited many times for beer, wine, champagne. You name it. The prices are pretty good and so is the selecton. They take American Express now too which is a good thing, right on tre 1 so easy location too.

Make a pilgrimage to this place, do yourself a favour!
Best selection, best prices in Delaware! This place is as good as it gets for a liquor store.
The wine selection is so extensive and such good value for the money. Great section of Argentinian and Chilean, excellent selection from California and Italy. Also good choices from Australia and South Africa. Decent French wines too.
The beer choices are the best we had seen while living in DE. Craft beers and foreign beers loads to choose from. Staff are very helpful and the place is like a Costco/​warehouse superstore!
I would recommend this place as one of the best ever.

My first stop at the beach, get booze! They truly have a huge selection of alcohol. If you can’t find what you are looking for, you are truly too picky.

Can’t go wrong with Atlantic Liquors. Huge selection of everything. Staff are always helpful this is our go to for any alcohol we want. We always recommend Atlantic Liquors to friends when they are in the area.

I cut across three lanes of traffic when I saw the store only to be disappointed it’s not all it’s cracked up to be very chaotic and messy was not one bit impressed

Can’t go wrong here. Been buying here for years before owning a home down here. Price, Selection, Staff, even beer/​wine sampling makes this place complete. If they don’t have it, they have another just like it or, you just didn’t need it anyway. Try something else… it’ll probably cost less too !

Atlantic Liquors has a good selection of spirits and varieties of beer. Purchased two bottles of VSOP and stocked up on my beer for the summer. Knowledgable and friendly staff. I found this palace to have the best prices in the area.

This place is FANTASTIC.
Great selection, and more importantly great prices. Could be because I’m from NY, but the prices in this place were awesome. I took a ton of pics.
1.5 liters of Yellowtail for $ 8.99. I pay $ 12.99 at home, $ 11.99 when it’s «on sale». I bought a case. No case price though, unless you are buying skinny bottles. I wasn’t. Flip Flop wines were $ 8.99 for 1.5 liters too.
22s of New Belgium Ranger for $ 3.99?!
Cupcake wines were $ 6.99 for skinny bottles. $ 9 — $ 10 in NY.
1.75 liters of Pinnacle vodka, any flavor, was $ 16.99. Just paid $ 26 for the same size at home. Try plain Pinnacle Vodka if you enjoy vodka. It’s good vodka for the price. And let me assure you, at these prices, you are NOT too good for it.
J. Lohr Chardonnay was $ 10, normally $ 16 at home.
Yellowtail’s Pink Bubbles was goddamn $ 6.99 and I recently paid $ 14 at home.
I’ll stop harping about the prices now. It was just kind’ve hard to take. The place has a warehouse feel inside. The outside has a nautical look and is very cute. The lady that checked us out wasn’t very friendly, but she boxed our stuff up faster than you could say «no tax».
Kicking myself I didn’t try to find Mark West Pinot Noir, which my parents love.
Spent $ 115 in there. Waaay better than hitting the outlets. I have a feeling these purchases will make me happier than some discount clothing. When has a marked down sweater ever made you want to dance?

I call Atlantic Liquors my Rohobeth Booze Mecca. If I am in the Lower Slower or anyone near this place I will go here and pick up any alcohol I need.
I don’t really know anything about liquor or wine to be honest. When I go shopping here with other’s, they always seem to find the brand they’re looking for and everything. There are always lots of employees running about loading and unloading alcohols and most are very knowledgable about the store’s selection.
I will tell you that I never get out of this store in under a half-​hour because I usually just stare admirably at the craft beer section. I’m never able to make a decision! They have all of the Dogfish Heads at great prices (I stock up on the big bottes here) and they have pretty much everything you can get in Philly but for a fraction of the price and hassle. They even carry some things like Goose Island, which is dear to my heart. If you’re looking for domestics, they have all of that stuff too in any quantity you need.
If you’re looking for a place to pick up your booze for a beach weekend, don’t bother with the other liquor stores. Come to this one.

I’ll only speak to their beer selection since I’m not much of a wine drinker and only quickly perused the hard liquors, but Atlantic Liquors has specialty beer store selection with big box store quantity. Their beer prices are pretty comparable to what I expected to pay for craft beer but, Holy Cow, did they have stock. Obviously they are strong on Dogfish Head, since you could probably throw a rock from the parking lot and hit the brewery but they also had beers that are local to me at home in the Carolinas: R.J. Rockers for example.
I make sure to stop in every time I am in town. Their volume gives them the pull with distributors my postage stamp-​sized stores at home don’t always have, so something special may be lurking in one of the barn’s crevices.
