My husband and I went here for breakfast Saturday morning after staying the night at Hotel Rehoboth not expecting too much from a breakfast place. We found the reviews on Unilocal and had to check this place out. Boy were we surprised by this gem we found! As soon as you step out of your car the amazing smells that are coming out of this place tells it ALL!!! The cozy and welcoming interior was very impressive unlike the exterior which was very plain. The hostess at the front was very friendly she greeted us with a huge smile and walked us over to our seats. It was pretty busy but it took no time to get seated and for our food to come out. I ordered French toast bacon and home fries just thinking about it makes me want to go back right now!!! lol The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! My husband ordered ham grits and scrabbled egg whites he was very amazed how amazing his food was as well! Our waitress was lighting fast with everything and didn’t miss a beat! We will definitely be going back this weekend! We live in Milford so it is a little drive but it is well worth it I promise!!!

OK Am I nuts? Every diner in the USA includes potatoes with a breakfast meal. Not Crystal. It’s an extra $ 2.00!!! My french toast was bland and dry. The French Toast had barely enough of the mixture, no cinnamon and no powered sugar. My two scrambled eggs were dumped on the plate as well. The bacon was old and greasy. No refills on the coffee either. VERYEXPENSIVE. Seems to me to be a tourist trap. Wife ordered a cheese omelet and grits. Again, seems like the food dropped on a plate with absolutely no frills. So why pay gourmet prices for lack luster food? Anyone who knows better might be patronize this place once and then avoid it like the plague. Seems like a bunch of kids running the place. If you want a great omelet or breakfast, go to the Rehoboth Diner which is a very short distance on the north side of route 1. WILLNOTBEBACKEVER!

Depending on the time of day, and time of year… incredibly busy waiting in line, or you can slide right in for fast service. Not necessarily exotic fare, nor is it a run of the mill national chain. Decent food(many options on a busy menu) done well at a decent price.

I went to the Crystal Restaurant once for breakfast and had eggs Benedict and coffee. The Crystal Restaurant is a largish traditional diner/restaurant. There’s several tables up front and a fairly long counter in the back. My eggs Benedict were prepared well, but they had a bit more hollendaise sauce than I would have preferred(but it was an easy fix… I just didn’t eat it all). The poached eggs were prepared correctly, with lots of runny yolk. The ham was plentiful, but I wasn’t convinced it was real Canadian bacon as it had a slight pastrami quality to it(but it was still good). I also appreciated the fact that home fries were included. However, I was a bit disappointed with them. Based on other Unilocal reviews, I was expecting almost life-changing home fries. While they were a little above average, I thought they could have used more browning and onions(if they had onions I couldn’t tell). The coffee was better than average for this type of restaurant.

Just left here on a Sunday morning in the off season. They were still crowded with a 24 min wait… however I got lucky as I was a party of 1. As I was scoping out the bar for seating one of the wait staff spied a table for 1 or 2 that had just opened up and offered it to me, this was the beginning but not the end of one of the best restaurant service experiences I’ve ever seen. The server was attentive and patient as I took an extra amount of time to make up my mind from the many fine breakfast offerings. The original waiter who found me the table also came by to see if I needed assistance in a jovial sort of fashion. You could see that these people genuinely enjoyed their work, albeit it in a busy and hectic environment. And the food was as good as all the rest of the reviews here state. Excellent, tasty and hot and although as I said they were extremely busy there was no long waits for the food to be served. One last note, at the end of my meal this was one of the hand-full of times times that I gave much more than the traditional 15−20% gratuity. Why? Because these pros deserved it!

After searching all over Rehoboth for somewhere for breakfast, we finally settled on Crystal Restaurant. And they did not disappoint. The place was clean, and we did not have a wait at all like I’ve read in the other reviews. We were greeted immediately, and seated just as quickly. After a tough deliberation on what we would have for breakfast, my husband and I decided that we would each have the two egg combo with choice of meat and home fries. I ordered my eggs scrambled with my choice of sausage where my husband decided to have his eggs over light, with bacon. By far this is probably the best restaurant breakfast I had in years. The food came out within 10 minutes and was cooked exactly to order. Not to mention the coffee was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like a good home cooked breakfast quick and tasty.

This seemed to be one of the better rated breakfast spots in the Rehoboth area so we decided to give it a try. Overall, it was nothing special, just solid breakfast fare. The pancakes were decent and the bacon was good. Service was so-so and the prices were a little expensive for the quality. The parking lot in the back was convenient. Luckily we got there around 10AM, right before the Sunday brunch rush. By the time we left there was probably a 30 minute wait for tables… so get there early!

Big breakfast: four-egg omelets with whatever you want in them, crab eggs Benedict, Belgian waffles — this place does breakfast right. Superior servers never let your coffee cup run dry.

Service was good. It is a busy place but server came back to check a few times. Food was great and huge portions. Is a little pricey to build an omelet but everything else was within reason. Will return on our next vacation.

Plentiful good food, reasonable prices for high summer beach time, very quick service despite a large and noisy crowd. Check them out!

Ran out of the New England clam chowder, waitress informed me some guests thought it tasted funny, well ok hope no one is getting sick… The only other soup available was beef stew, she would check what the new soup would be, «beef barley» was the natural choice because every restaurant needs soups only of the beef variety and no one likes normal soups like chicken noodle, vegetable, tomato, crab, broccoli& cheddar, potato, etc The rest of their sides are not appealing fries, potatoes, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or applesauce? It is 2015, offer a vegetable or offer a side salad. The waitress refused when I asked if they could do a vegetable or side salad, which is definitely off-putting considering they had salads on the menu and they«ran out» of what I originally ordered. I settled with the apple sauce and felt much like a 5 year old. My monte crisco sandwhich was forgettable, the coffee was ok… took too long to get a refill however. My friends do seem to love this place, perhaps I’ll have to give it another shot. But definitely not a good first impression.

Prices are okay to start but the service was lousy and you have to pay extra for everything. Our waiter was horrible, didn’t offer to refill our coffee one time. The French Toast was poorly done, no powered sugar or cinnamon. Just a few pieces of bread dipped in the egg mixture and dumped on a plate. Eggs didn’t come with potatoes or anything like that, they upcharge for everything.

This is one of the best breakfast places around. This is our go-to place for breakfast — hands down. Prices are affordable, the food is great, and the service is pretty good too. Be prepared for a wait though — they get very busy around brunch and the line is usually out the door. Wait times aren’t too bad though. I highly recommend the cream chipped beef. The only downside(and it’s really not something that bothers me) is that it can get a little noisy inside due to the open floor plan. Not a determining factor for me though. Not one bit!

The traditional greasy spoon of the beach restaurants. Homey atmosphere. Not the best food around, but better than the IHOP or Cracker Barrel. Family style home cooking. Crowded in the morning, and there may be a line. A bit pricey for what you get. A once a year visit is all that one needs.

This is where the locals go. It’s not quiet so be prepared to yell just to hear your table mate. I got eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast. It was all delicious and service was a little slow but it was crowded. Good prices, friendly hostess. This is definitely the best breakfast place in Rehoboth.

First time @ Crystal’s! A much need breakfast after a night out! The food was great! I was able to order what I wanted… the way I wanted it! Egg whites with cheddar! The coffee was hot and fresh! Despite the fact it was Mother’s Day and they were slammed… service was quick and our waitress was great! Def going back!

A modest exterior Hides the best restaurant secret in Rehoboth — - The one the locals use. the best part of this restaurant that we have found(so far) is amazing Eggs Benedict, a huge breakfast steak that’s the size of a dinner steak, delicious Hash Browns, and iced tea that’s obviously fresh brewed with care. Our waiter has been great, even though it’s busy. Expect to wait during prime times!

Hmmm… Though the food and prices make this a great, reliable food place(think diner-ish), today gave me pause. Not because of the food but the service. Our server seemed to be more interested in hanging out with the other servers and the regulars he knew. He kept pushing us to order though we’d barely got seated and then he disappeared the second time we told him we weren’t ready yet. When we were seated, we found used creamers in the cream basket and some used sugar packets stuffed back into the holder. Some people. While dining we were horrified to see the? busser? spray Windex all over the table next to us, getting it on the utensils that were left behind supposedly unused by the last patrons, and S&P shakers. He then wiped the table with rag he’d kept under his armpit before moving on. We watched him repeat this with several other tables. SERIOUSLY?!? Order came. Food fine. Paid and left. Will be back but cautious.

Best breakfast in Rehoboth Beach. This gets a 4 versus a 3 star rating because of the crab cake, the great wait staff and massive portions. Their breakfast combination specials are a great way to go. I have to note, our waiter, Alex, was on college break, and this young man was phenomenal.
