What a great place! Fair prices, well prepared very good food. what could be better? We have been wanting to try this place and today we finally stopped. Very nice people work here, welcoming atmosphere. Fried clams were plump and delicious, just the right amount of dressing! Italian pork and chicken sandwiches AMAZING! Buffalo chicken was fantastic. We will become regulars!

Murph’s is a chill spot by the beach, with some killer sandwiches, great live music, and a cool vibe. Not fancy by any means, but if good times is what you want, this is a great place to go alone or with a group. The bartender Natalie sings with many of the live bands that play. Objectively, she is great! Definately check out Murphs if you get a chance. My favorite item on the menu is the roast beef, murphed, on the out and out. Also the drinks are very affordable.

So folks some times when we are hungry we eat at place that we might regret or should have know better. This might have bin one of does. Sad part was I was so excited about trying a good Irish place around here. My eyes & ears lit up when I heard something not radio quality. I was like«OMG» ITSKARAOKE!!! And then it hit me as they where bringing my food. It was like someone was scratching a chalkboard, 100’s of babies crying all at once, I hope you get my point.

The roast beef sandwich is good there but the fries with beef gravy and provolone cheese are delicious

Amazing food! The beef was super tender and packed with flavor. The sharp provolone was a perfect compliment. Definitely order the cheese fries — the homemade cheese sauce was fabulous. Owners are so nice and really dedicated! Great atmosphere!

Fantastic sandwiches. Unique too!!! They have roasted pork and roasted beef. I have to address the other reciewer who said they had a stale roll. Mine was certainly not stale!!! When the sandwich is murphed, covered in gravy, or juice or drippins, broccoli rabe and melted sharp provolone it becomes sooo succulent and creamy that it squishes in your mouth. I got the beef with sharp provelone and broccoli rabe. So, the beef murphed.

Horrible experience! The waitress wasn’t at all nice and never even asked how everything was. Their rolls are stale. I’ll never go back to this place again. If you want a good place to go to try Charlie k in Bethany de.

First and foremost this is not gourmet dining, its comfort food at its best. If you are fortunate enough to remember Ye Olde Ale House in Philadelphia your taste buds will be in for a treat. The menu is small but when you do it right you don’t need a lot. The roast beef is lean and flavorful, get the fries with beef gravy and cheese, you’ll thanks me later. This place doesn’t pretend to be anything but a bar with great sandwiches. The turkey is full of flavor and reminds me of my leftover Thanksgiving turkey sandwich. I wish the pork came on a long roll(just a preference) with the long hots it tastes like south Philly. Give a try you might be surprised.

Midwest comes to the beach. If you like a bit of comfort food then come here. We had the murphed roast beef. A hearty roast beef sandwich. We added the gravy fries(which is the closest to havin pouting in this area but without the cheese). The fries had chunks of beef in a real homemade gravy. Menu is simple but satisfying for a really good bite on the way out of the beach or coming in.

For what this place does it dose well. Limited menu but everything is done to perfection. Nice atmosphere and my only complaint was the odor of new paint smell. This place should be a staple for hot sandwiches… I tried them all and the pork was my favorite

Nice beer selection, simple and small but good food selection. They do their sandwiches(beef, pork, or turkey) on a roll with gravy, served on a small plate. The sides/appetizers are frozen from a bag but they’re not trying to be fine dining, more just a beer place with good sandwiches. The gravy fries are awesome, with your choice of beef, pork, or turkey gravy. We got the sandwich with the broccoli rabe add-on and it really turned it up a notch.

If you want to have a small menu do it right and that is exactly what Murphy’s does. Small menu great flavor. I stopped on a whim and was blown away. At first I thought the menu was a little slim. It is but they do everything right, great fries and great sandwiches.

We had a party of six so pretty much tried everything on the menu(it’s not very big). Everything was a huge hit– fries & gravy were insane. Roast beef was amazing, pork was juicy and turkey sandwich was loaded. Potato soup had wonderful flavor and perfect consistency. Beers were ice cold and they had a creative drink menu. Our server was friendly, funny & attentive. Only two complaints– I don’t like gravy on my bread and you can’t order without gravy. Also, it’s an Irish bar but they were playing sappy, slow country music(it was lunchtime though). Kick up the ambiance a notch and you won’t be able to get us out! Keep up the good work. we’ll be back.

First and foremost, if you are looking for fancy and pretentious go somewhere else. There is nothing upscale or fancy about this place and that is fine by me. I heard a little bit about this place from other locals and decided to finally try it on a Sunday afternoon. Upon walking in you will notice that room is more bar and kitchen than table seating. They have standard domestic beers on tap and a selection of craft and local brews by the bottle. The menu is small and has what you’d expect: hand-carved and roasted meat sandwiches are the forefront. I ordered a «Murphd’(meaning: with sharp provolone) On the Out(meaning the shaved outer parts of the beef that includes the spicy bark)» Roast Beef Sandwich. Piled high, juicy, and doused in au jus on a kaiser hard roll. Awesome! Don’t forget to add a few spicy peppers and a dash of horseraddish(also come with your plate in small self-serve jars next to your salt and pepper). For a side I grabbed a side of beef gravy fries. Holy cow it was good. Thick-cut steak fries smothered in a chunky beef gravy laced with bits of succulent beef. The prices are cheap and the eats are good. Kind of wish it didn’t come on a disposable plate and fry boat. Ah well. Saves on water costs I guess. For a hot sandwich and super ice cold beer… I highly recommend this place. I will be going back. Also, Charlotte, the bartender is pleasant and nice!

Simple menu of tasty bar food treats work well when the Irish and the Italians meet. No linens or fine china here, but you do have plenty of napkins… which will be used. Tucked in a strip mall with a modest parking lot, Murph’s is an easy stop without the need to head into the heart of town. Roast beef and roast pork are tender, plenty of juice and filling. Sandwiches can be topped with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone in homage to the fabulous sandwiches of Philly. You can even request the salty and spiced edge of the roast beef if that calls to you. They do have a veggie version, too. The potato soup is very tasty as well. Several beers on draft at a nice long wooden bar facing the kitchen and several TVs. Occasional live music can draw a crowd at night.
