Had another great meal there! A bargain for the money. The wine list just plain out stinks which is oh so sad. I don’t need a $ 2.90 glass of wine. Also I think the proprietors are so difficult they cannot keep decent wait staff Bad grammar and complaining about the owner is not cool. Delicious home made bread. Bottom line you can go have a good veal dinner and a bottle of wine for $ 42

I had an awful experience here. Right off the bat, we were seated at 6:25, even though we had 6:00 reservations. Hoping to redeem the wait, we happily sat down, and picked what we wanted from our menu’s. After picking, we sat with our menu’s closed for 15 minutes before the owner came over. He was rude, eye-rolling, and pushy. After ordering, we waited patiently(as possible) for our appetizers. My buddy received his drink, however, my other friend and myself never received our waters. Our appetizers finally came out, except for my friends, who’s caprese salad was never made. After finally requesting our waters again, and stating to a much kinder waitress about the salad, the owner promptly came over and told off my friend, telling him he never ordered it. We finally received our food, which as an Italian I can say was decent at best, and did not receive service for the rest of the night. We finished within 10 minutes, and waited almost an hour for someone to come over before I had to wave someone down for a check. If you like alright Italian food, you can have it, but I have never received service as awful as this.

Very odd unwelcoming atmosphere. Owner(manager?) abrasive to several customers around us while we were looking at our menus… when he turned to us, I inquired about getting something vegetarian without cheese or eggs. His reply was to take the menus from us. We left and went to the movies and had popcorn instead. Jeesh!

We went to this restaurant for lunch because it had been recommended by friends. We arrived at 3:00pm on Friday afternoon, were seated and given menus. The owner/manager(?) then came to the table and told us he was closing and we had to leave. I’ve never experienced such rudeness.

A great home cooked Italian meal. Pasta was al dante, bolognese was tasty. Bread was delicious! Wine was amazingly cheap, $ 17 for a bottle of Chianti. Owner is an old school Italian from Florence. Respect his culture and his food and he’ll be more than accommodating. Be a stupid, disrespectful American and I can easily see him not liking you.

This is my favorite place to eat! It’s a place where you actually get to dine and not just eat. The food is always excellent. The owner Roberto takes great care in seeing that you learn to relax and enjoy yourself while your dining in his restaurant. I love the house dressing and homemade bread. if you want a true relax dining experience this is a great place to eat. I love the shrimp Gamberi parmesan. The Penne Puttanesca is my second favorite. I love to come here on birthdays anniversaries or any other celebration for that matter. Chianti is $ 2.90 a Class you can’t beat it.

Food still excellent but service poor. There is no place to stand while waiting for a table, you get yelled at from across the room to go to your seat. Once seated, my husband was handed a beer bottle with the cap on(not a screw off!) when I went find waitress, she said«I wasn’t trained to do that» really? Open a bottle of beer??? We watched the waitress literally Running between tables all night– not a relaxing dinner!!! Hire more staff! I asked what Chicken Capri was and I was spoken to like I was stupid by the owner. Waited 20 minutes for our plates to get cleared. Did I say hire more staff? And keep the owner in the kitchen– he is not your front man! Not returning. Would rather pay double somewhere else.

Fantastic! I am a happy customer, and look forward to being a repeat customer. I don’t write many reviews, but this place deserves my compliments.

Went here for a birthday dinner. The owner was horribly rude the portions were small and we got yelled at for wanting to order another dinner. The service took forever and the owner complained when we would ask for more then one refill. The interior is tacky and the food is lack luster. If you like feeling unwelcome and annoying when you are dining go here. Otherwise find somewhere else to go.

The absolute finest Italian restaurant in Delaware! All you Tourons from Jersey, NY and PA need to get a life and develop taste buds and a sense of humor! The lasagna is second to none and the special seafood spaghetti was a culinary mouth explosion! We will continue to enjoy Roberto the so called soup Nazi as often as possible! He is a delightful entertainment at no extra charge!!! He has done everything but kiss my gorgeous wife’s hand!

This place was awful and I will never go back. This so called«pasta nazi» was rude and complained that we didn’t want to order wine. I got lasagna and when it first arrived the presentation looked like throw up on a plate. I took a bite and it tasted mushy and nasty. It was way over cooked. A frozen dinner tastes better than this. After the second bite I found a hair embedded in the cheese. I called the«pasta nazi» over and showed him the hair. His response? «No, are you sure?» He looked offended that I couldn’t finish my meal. He didn’t even say I’m sorry or offer a refund. I had to go buy mints just to get the awful memory of those two bites out of my mouth!

I don’t get why people make excuses for this place. Maybe after the zombie apocalypse comes and we’re scavenging for food would that lasagna be edible, but right now? Not so much. Lasagna shouldn’t look like it came out of a blender. I’m sorry, but if you want people to spend their money in your restaurant, you have to do better.

I love this place! We have been here a few times and always have fabulous meals. Way beyond fabulous. Like WOW. And the price is ridiculously reasonable. On our first visit we encountered a little of the Pasta Nazi, we didn’t know what was going on and kinda did that, «waits, what? Did he really just do/say what I think he did?». But the food was amazing. We read the reviews after dinner and laughed. He actually made for an interesting dinner.(try, try, try to get the gnocchi! it is incredible but sells out) On subsequent visits he was much nicer, a perfect gentleman. Kinda took the fun out the food is still AMAZING! went last Saturday and if there was any time for the owner to be a little bent out of shape, it was on our last visit. We had travelled for 8 hours and just got in town, we were hungry! we decided to try Preshy’s and walked in 5 minutes before closing time. I somewhat expected to be rebuffed but he was nothing but gracious. We had a fabulous meal and a great dining experience Do note that there are two young waitresses there now. I don’t know if they are just summer help or if there are there year round. We only got to talk with the owner once, the waitresses did an excellent job. I don’t know if this is because of bad reviews or because it is crowded in the summer. Either way, the food was fabulous and we will be back.

This is a one-of-a-kind establishment. Food is cooked by old italian woman FROMITALY — and taste is WAY better than you’d expect FORTHEPRICE. Prices are very reasonable. I honestly feel that you’d have to fly to Italy to get such authentic food — and the food at other italian restaurants in comparison are americanized. Owner usually seats you and serves you. If you can be a good customer to the owner, that is, let him seat you wherever he wants, be ready with your complete order when he comes, don’t substitute, don’t call him over to the table after the initial order for anything but asking for your check at the end, then you will fare ok. He can get disgusted fast if you don’t, so be forewarned.

I have been to Preshy’s Restaurant three times in the past two years. The only reason we went was that the restaurant is close to the movie theater and the prices were low and the food was OK; although it was always very salty. Also the portions are so small I left hungry every time I ate there. I will never go again after the last time we went. The owner, who also insists on being a waiter, has always been rude and obnoxious which at first I thought was an act but it is not an act. We asked for a side of tomato sauce to go with our pasta and he shakes his finger at us and says«we do not give sides of anything here; we serve it as is.» This guy belongs in a psychiatric hospital. He was extremely rude each time we’ve been there. Three strikes you’re out!

NEVERAGAIN is not strong enough… this was our second time eating here and we had been warned about the Pasta Nazi and so at first thought it kind of funny when he was a little rude but the food was very good… tonight was too much after enjoying a very nice meal we paid in cash the waitress brought back the small amount of change and dropped it on the table saying this is NOT enough for a tip… well of course it was not her tip was on the table if she had taken a second to look. I was so embarrassed I thought it was a rude waitress so went up to complain to the owner BIGMISTAKEHE was the one that told her to tell us it was not enough money for a tip… well we learned the food may be good but being humiliated for eating there is not worth it!!!

I’ve eaten here several times with no problem and recently took a friend to dine with me for dinner. We ordered wine which was served in DIRTY glasses. Lipstick was on both my glass and my dinner companion’s. It was disgusting. When we ordered our dinner my friend was VERY specific that she does not eat fish. She ordered the Penne Puttanesca which, as described on the menu, contained no fish ingredients. Let me be clear: in the menu description fish is not listed as an ingredient. She was EXTREMELY clear with the owner of Preshy’s that she cannot eat fish. Dinner was served. As my friend was eating her dinner, she bit into a piece of fish! She became ill, but it took FOREVER for us to get the bill paid(after the check was taken away with the credit card). I had to ask one of the staff to please get our check taken care of ASAP as we wanted to leave. When we finally got back to my home, we looked up the ingredients of her dish on the internet only to find that Penne Puttanesca contains anchovies! It’s bad enough we were served wine in dirty glasses, but when you tell a member of a restaurant’s staff, especially the owner, that you CANNOT eat fish… you expect NOT to be served fish. You also expect to be told that fish is an ingredient even if that ingredient isn’t mentioned in the item’s menu description, especially if someone is sensitive or has an allergy. Adverse food reactions can lead to death! How stupid and careless of the owner. He is a lawsuit waiting to happen. We will NEVER eat there again!
