We had the New York Sirloin steak the other night. It was fantastic!!! The staff is friendly and the service is great. We have tried to find a good and not very pricey steak place around Rehoboth Beach, we finally found the place.

Wow. Read the reviews. This is really bad from the food to(especially) the service. Long wait — no problem, it’s a breakfast place at breakfast time. Poor food, but probably my fault as I ordered the Pork Roll on hard roll with cheese(they forgot the cheese.) Wife had an omelet, which was watery and the scrapple appeared deep fried(?) and was very mushy inside. OK, so the food was not great… or even pretty good BUT the biggest reason I will not be is the waitress’ bitchin’ at each other regarding who is supposed to be working where and whose customer this is and«why are you in my section». Ugg… lesson learned. Just up the road there is a Cracker Barrel.

Ok so we came here for breakfast been Sunday and all and it was super busy. None the least the wait wasn’t to bad but I was hungry and did not want to wait, so we sat at the bar. Been here, I came to discover that there toaster got on fire at some point today, the waitress caped on bragging how she got no sleep, and some other issues at this place. I just can’t seam to understand why staffers want to talk about there dirt laundry around customers. Anyway back to the food/beverage quality. Coffee sucked in my opinion. It was a water down coffee. They ruined the omelette by not putting cheese in it. I mean come on who does that. They should at least inform people of that. «You have to pay more for it». The bright side was that the French Toast was delicious and I got my check to get the hell out of here.

Decent prices, mediocre food. Stay away from hash browns. Ordered the sausage omelette which came with toast and hash browns. Well presented and hot. Their were some oddities though. The omelettes here do not come with cheese, this is an optional 70 cents up charge. The hash browns have something in them besides just potato, maybe some sort of cheese type product? It’s weird what ever it was and more importantly should be listed on the menu as such. I expect shredded potato«only» unless otherwise listed. Still on the hash browns… what is that weird metallic flavor? I kept trying to taste it and thought it was maybe the ketchup at first. Very odd and a little concerning that I tasted several things, none of which was potato. Coffee barely mediocre, no water glass(I only like it when I order coffee), waitress nice but I certainly did not need to hear her talk about working till 4 am the night before about a dozen times, saw the waitress use the bar as a prep table right in front of a customer to spray canned whipped cream on French toast. They over spray went everywhere. If someone plopped a big plate of someone else’s food in front of me and did that I probably would have pushed it in the floor. Poor guy over there wiping fake whipped cream off of him and remained silent.

Never again. That the interior signage said the diner was in «Rehobeth» Beach should have been a huge red flag, but we’re apparently colorblind. We stopped here on the way out home from the beach, early enough on a Friday morning that our breakfast options were few. As we tend to choose independent restaurants over chains, we stopped here instead of Cracker Barrel or IHOP. Oops. Around 20 people were waiting when we walked in– had there been another open breakfast place on our side of the highway, we’d have left, but we decided to give it a chance. The«hostess» neither greeted us nor made verbal contact. We could clearly see there was a waiting list on the counter, but she never made an attempt to get our information before vanishing. Finally when a server came to check on something, he told us just to write our names down and that it would only be 10 – 15 minutes. Several people were leaving and we could see at least 2 open booths, so this seemed reasonable. In the 20 more minutes before we were seated, though, we watched chaos unfold. When tables were seated, servers were neither alerted to this nor were they given an order of seating, so those seated later were getting orders in earlier and vice-versa. One server had a total, arm-flailing meltdown over this just outside the kitchen doors and nearly sent an expediter’s tray flying. Once we were seated, we couldn’t help but notice that almost half of the restaurant was empty. A 30 minute wait was bad enough, but a 30 minute wait when there are 10+ empty booths? 10ish minutes passed before our server(she of the arm-flailing tantrum) arrived. We put in orders for seemingly foolproof items, fearing the worst. It only took 5 minutes to get our drinks and then another 15 for the food to come out. Well, most of it–«Sorry, I forgot your toast…” — the toast arrived several minutes later, ice cold. Sensing how things were going down(and watching others wait ages for their checks) we asked for the check when the toast arrived– the response was«OK, but I’m getting to you as fast as I can, y’know!» The food itself? Well, the ice-cold toast was the highlight. The hashbrowns had a metallic, almost chemical taste to them. «Scrambled Eggs w/cheese» was interpreted as «pour a container of Egg-Beaters and throw a slice of processed cheese product on it.» The bacon was at least crisp, but tasted like cardboard and I’m 99% sure the pancakes were at least reheated in the microwave, if not cooked there in the first place. To add insult to injury, I had to wait 5 minutes at the cash register for someone to come take my money. Never in my life have I considered walking out on a restaurant check, but this place made me briefly consider it. I’m sure I’ve had worse restaurant experiences, but none immediately come to mind. If you’re leaving the beach, stop at Cracker Barrel instead. At least you know what you’re getting into there.

Dude… its a freaking diner. Look, we’ve come here for breakfast several times over the years, and although it may not be the best place you’ve ever eaten, it is consistent, the food is good, and the atmosphere is good. Stick with the basics and you can’t go wrong. BTW, the waitresses work really hard here and it can get very busy, so be nice!

Never been to Rohoboth Beach before. Had breakfast. I can usually overlook bad service when the food is great however it was just mediocre. My friends Belgian waffle was cold and my corn beef hash was straight from a can. And the service. Straight up rude. We asked for extra cream and she said«I don’t think so! «we thought she was joking but when we asked again she rolled her eyes and then brought a handful and tossed them on the table. There’s more but I won’t bore you with the details. Bottom line she was rude and the entire experience left a bitter taste in our mouth.

Where to start… One of the worst dining experiences, hands down. When approaching the hostess station, we were«greeted» by a surly-looking teenaged girl who pushed the wait list at my husband so he could put our name on, whilst holding a baby. We had a highchair that looked like it had never been cleaned, as in never. Our orders were wrong, I had to ask for coffee four times. Upon paying for our meal, which infuriated me that I had to pay for such bad food, the same hostess didn’t even bother to say one word to me. The pies were Sara Lee, not the homemade pies one would expect from a diner. One redeeming quality: the sweet blond lady who may have been a manager was very apologetic and seemed to actually care about the guests.

It’s a diner menu with tons of different foods, but they really have some good food here. The cream of crab soup is fantastic, and everything seems to be house made.

Terrific diner food at great prices! Extensive menu of classic American fare. They serve authentic Philly hoagies! Several types. I had the classic cheese steak. Good burgers and breakfast food, Fed 5 people for $ 50 — nice for the beach! Quick service and super sweet staff.

It was later in the evening and I was looking for some good wholesome diner food. When I arrived there was no one else dining, not really s concern as it was after 9 pm during the week when I arrived. I ordered quickly, and got veal marsala with angel hair pasta and split pea soup. Both were included. Waitress didn’t seem truly interested in being there. Veal was good, but the sauce want traditional marsala sauce. After waitress delivered my food, I didn’t see her again until she brought my check. It was good, cheap and quick. Would have loved a more interested and attentive wait staff, but all in all quick and good is what I was looking for.

For as diner food goes, this is some pretty good food. It was 11am and I was craving breakfast. I spotted the Diner and pulled in. We were seated quickly. Our server was very nice. She provided great service. My son ordered Spaghetti and Meatballs. It came with soup or salad and he chose soup. The server brought him a cup of chicken and bowtie pasta soup. It had carrots and celery and an overall good flavor. Then she brought his meal. It was a HUGE portion of spaghetti and it had 2 giant meatballs. The sauce resembled Prego but was much thicker. He ended up bringing over half home. I ordered a bacon and cheddar cheese omelette. It came with hash browns and toast. I thought the toast and hash browns could have used a bit of crispness. There was literally cheese and bacon in every bite of the omelette. That never happens. It was a great diner experience.

We had the crab cake melt! It was absolutely delicious! The fries were also made perfectly! The kids meals are good size for kids, the grilled cheese however is pretty big so half a sandwich is better for your 4 year old than a whole one. Prices are good for the quality of the food.

Stopped here for a late dinner with my wife, around 10PM. There were a few other patrons in the restaurant, but the place was basically empty. Was greeted by friendly staff as we entered, and the waitress was pleasant as well. The food was delivered quickly and hot, and we enjoyed the meal. Didn’t get anything fancy — a club sandwich, and a grilled cheese and bacon, plus fries — and the fries are absolutely wonderful. Yes, the place might appear to be a bit dated in spots, or you might feel like it needs some sprucing up, but that’s part of the charm perhaps. We enjoyed the meal and the experience, and we’ll be back.

My husband and I came here before heading to the beach(yes this was a while back). Overall it was a really good breakfast. The staff was attentive with the coffee and drinks. We were seated and ordered without issue. The AC was on WAY to high. I was freezing the entire time. So that wasn’t fun. The food was solid. I enjoyed my eggs with bacon, home fries and toast. Everything was cooked perfectly. I’m a fan of the hash browns. My husband enjoyed his egg sandwich. It was tasty and cheap — what more can you want, besides a sweater.

Went here the morning after a wedding and it was good for just that. Being hungover, annoyed, cramped, tired, and hungry– I went to the best place. I got a wrap and that was good enough for me. It is very loud in there however. So many seats, youll never have to wait!
