Can you say enough food to feed 2 – 3 people. Absolutely«Ginormous Portions», and good service by my server. An older lady(Miss D.) so versed in the lost art of «Service, Conversation, Clean –as-you –go, and Local Lore & Knowledge«! All the others I couldn’t get a coffee refill from. Yes I’m from the«D.S., South». Food to take home… Ride easy fellow Unilocalers…

This is about customer service and food quality. We have been going here for five years and it was our favorite breakfast spot. This morning we got a foul Bagel & Lox. Lox had excessive dark flesh with a strong fishy taste. Salmon with dark flesh at a restaurant is easily picked around but piled nicely on a bagel… very awkward and the job of the kitchen to prepare properly. Tried to eat. Became too unpleasant. Let the wait staff know there was a problem with the salmon. They took it to the kitchen as well as the owner, yup, the owner. No apology, just acknowledgement of our concern. Was charged on bill. At register told them after five years of coming here i was surprised with their response to the complaint and would think twice before coming back. The head waitress said«she ate half» and«you don’t have to come back» While it’s not unusual to get a bad meal at a restaurant on occasion, what is unusual is having the staff not own it or a desire to fix in some way. The service matches the food. Try Crystal Diner.

«No frills» indeed. Our visit, a little before 8AM, was pleasant; only a few tables were occupied and the staff was friendly and attentive. By the time we left, approximately 30 minutes later, several additional tables had filled in. My girlfriend ordered the greek omelette; aside from the spinach being whole leaves, not chopped, she liked her choice. I had sausage, bacon, and breakfast potatoes; the meats were the standard fare you’d find at any diner across the country, and the potatoes were pretty good, neither bland nor over seasoned. We didn’t have the coffee, and we passed on the hot tea as the selection was limited to plain black tea. Instead, we both ordered cranberry juice. It’s worth noting how quickly our food arrived: we barely blinked and the server was back, hot meals in hand. The prices were reasonable, comparable to what we pay for a breakfast near our home; our check came in at just under twenty-five dollars. The back of the menu contains a favorable review from a local reviewer which repeatedly states«no frills», with which I would completely agree. If you’re looking for a quick, simple breakfast at a reasonable price the Sunrise Restaurant is worth checking out.

What are you looking for? This is the place to come to for a great big classic diner breakfast. Plastic coffee cups filled to the brim with good bad coffee. Cheap plates and silverware and a huge breakfast.

Very good service. Down to business breakfast. Nice sized portions and the home fries are delicious. Kinda weird that they have plastic coffee mugs if you dine in but maybe that’s part of the character. Overall would recommend

I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid and it hasn’t changed a bit! I love it. The food is straight forward, quick, and delicious. The staff is very friendly too.

A good breakfast stop on our way down to the beach… The breakfast was good. A basic egg sandwich and some good omlettes, the service was a little slow and I often had an empty coffee mug which is often annoying.

Could tell this place had history and a following just walking in the door! Ordered the French toast — amazing portions And melt in your mouth. They served breakfast all day long so the kids enjoyed it

Pretty good food and plenty of it for a fair price. Quite possibly the fastest I’ve ever ordered and received my food in any restaurant. I had the bacon and cheese omelette which was fairly large.

Went there to pick up sandwiches for the trip home yesterday. It’s a standard beach town breakfast shop so I wasn’t expecting anything fancy. The food was decent, ordered the cheesesteak and it was actually pretty good. The only thing I will say is that they aren’t the nicest bunch behind the counter. One of the women was pretty rude to the people she was helping, which did bother me a bit. A smile would have been nice!

Every time I go to Dewey, this place is on the agenda at least twice. Excellent breakfasts(omelets, pancakes, home fries, and the world’s best French Toast) and a friendly staff, plus quick service. It’s a must-try in Dewey, trust me.

No frills breakfast right on the edge of Dewey going into Rehobeth.(Dewey is like 5 blocks long though, so you’ll be fine walking). Cheap. Coffee is in the smallest cups ever. Water in the largest styrofoam cups ever(that they are happy to refill for you and provide a lid). Big omelets. I got the sunrise omelet with spinach added — lots of green vegetables after an indulgent Sunday Funday.

This was our go to for a quick diner type of breakfast. Come here for the massive omelettes or the plate sized pancakes. The breakfast potatoes that come with the egg dishes are tasty! Decent coffee and diner prices. The service is efficient and pleasant.

I prefer the Starboard for breakfast but was super hungry when I woke up at 7am and didn’t want to wake my friends cooking that early. Sunrise was only place that was open and only one block from my house. It’s a diner and abit pricey($ 6 for breakfast sandwich!), so don’t expect eggs Benedict, pastries, fruits, etc… For the best value, get the short stack pancakes with two eggs($ 6.25 if I remember). We were very pleased with our meal(get eggs fried, not scrambled). Nice to see they have scrapple too! A side includes two big portions of deliciousness. I’ve never eaten lunch here, so can’t comment on lunch items. This place is not open for dinner. Wish it was open late night after the bar closes for breakfast! They would make a mint if it was open.

Diner food. Not as super-cheap as desired but not over-priced. Massive portions and the food came quicker than I thought possible. Great start to the day during a beach trip.

The plain-ol’ breakfast was pretty expensive although fairly comparable to other options in the area. The problem is that the quality of the food wasn’t awesome. My husband’s «scrambled eggs» were actually a plain omelet folded over and not cooked all the way. My coffee was served in a shot glass and not that good. «Meh» just about sums up our impression.
