Ok, so if you sit in the bar area but not at the bar you can’t get happy hour prices. Oh, and if you and your friends are having a nice conversation and eating your meal you will have your plates pulled out from under you! My goodness, what the hell, nobody waiting for a table and we were interrupted two times to see if we were finished. Overcharged on our bill by $ 12. which they quickly corrected but if we had not checked we would have been out of money! Not sure we will go back real soon, very disappointing and prices were not fair. DONOTGETTHERIBS, they are RUBBERY!

We love this place for seafood. Every single thing was delicious. I got the scallops which were seasoned perfectly and so tender they were pure joy in my mouth. The crabs were really large and seasoned with old bay. The BBQ ribs were equally good. Hush puppies– great. The only tiny compliant was the corn on the cob was cold, but still tasty. The coleslaw was yummy!

Super Clean space and Fresh Seafood oprions. I a blue soft shell fried. Melted in my mouth and was so bangin good. Hush puppies are semi crack addicting. I recommend this for a fussy group because they can accommodate special requests. All day every day 1 $ PBR

My parents moved to Lewes a couple months ago so we were on an adventure to find their new go to crab spot. This is it! We started with the bay oysters which were outstanding(and only $ 1!). My Dad had the scallop dinner — the scallops were perfectly cooked and delicious. Even the simple sides(cucumber salad & corn) were great! My Mom and I got crabs — we each got a jumbo to see what it was all about and a half dozen larges to share. The jumbo was HUGE! I really could have stopped eating after that. The larges were meaty and wonderful. We had a fantastic experience and we can’t wait to come back!

We went for steamed crabs and were so disappointed. Two of us ordered large crabs, and I thought the waiter had made a mistake because they were small by Maryland standards. We took guests and were embarrassed. Next time I’ll buy fresh crabs and steam them at home. The cole slaw was goopy with mayo. Won’t be going back.

This place is great for fresh seafood. I ordered 1 lb of the Snow Crab legs, corn on the cob, coleslaw, and hushpuppies. Everything was delicious! The hushpuppies tasted more cake-like rather than cornbread. They’re different, but tasty nonetheless. The waitress we had was very helpful, although service was slow. My only other complaint is that there wasn’t outdoor seating.

I came here last year and enjoyed the all you can eat crabs. So this year I came back and the crabs and the hush puppies are still the best in Rehoboth Beach.

Sadly this place has really gone downhill. Last night we went in for a friend’s birthday and the evening was ruined thanks to an incredibly rude and loud table right behind us, which the management was aware of and did nothing. Additionally — the crabs were sub par and the other menu items were inedible(ribs, chicken, etc.) If this place hopes to survive they need to take responsibility for the guests experiences within the establishment, as well as the quality of the food. Our server told us the entire restaurant had complained about this one table, yet the manager did nothing. At one point a child at the rowdy table hurtled a cup at us which barely missed my friends head, with barely an acknowledgement from the parental figures. I will not be going back, it’s worth the drive to get better food and have a much better experience elsewhere.

Seriously, a crab restaurant that closes at 9:30 on a Friday? Someone should let management know they are located in a resort town.

April 15, 2016, approx 6:30. Not a packed place given this is off season. We were seated quickly, waitress was Hollie I believe. She wrote her name down on the brown tablecloth and was super friendly and charming. I started with the Oh Rosie Martini, which hit the spot. Just right and served with the shaker as you should get. My sons, ages 8 and 9, ordered a burger w/Mac and cheese and Fried shrimp with corn on the cob. Both got raves and my sons are pretty discerning. My husband ordered a small wedge salad which was actually a very respectable size and we both ordered snow crab legs, 1 lb. So tender, sweet, perfect — drawn butter, lemon, and a side of corn on the cob. Great. No complaints. It’s a down to earth place. White Shiplap walls, pocket doors in a barn style, large chalkboards advertising the specials, Brown paper tablecloths, a crate on the table with condiments, a basket of popcorn brought to the table to munch on and Rubbermaid containers at the table ends for shells, etc., Perfect for a date, families, groups. Love. Not crazy expensive. Reasonable. I don’t know who would complain about not enough food or 12 crabs vs 2 lbs or whatever but perhaps they should go to a buffet and just slide on up to a trough. But seriously, this is everything a good seafood place should be.

We were a large party of 15 and chose The Crab Houe based on other Unilocal reviews we had read. Pros: Cute atmosphere, the place was decorated nicely and was clean. They covered the tables with butcher block paper to which made it easier to eat sea food on. Staff was friendly and mostly attentive. Cons: They are unable to handle big parties. They spent 45 minutes trying to figure out our checks rather than ask us what we ordered. They kept coming to the table over and over and saying«we are almost done» figuring it out. It took longer for us to get the check than for our food. They were so caught up in the check debacle that they forgot the kids icecream. Everyone in our party thought the food was average. My families food was not good. Ours was over cooked clam strips and the kids grilled cheese didnt have any taste or enough cheese in it. Bit of a cardboard taste. My daughters strips came with a hair fried into the batter. They did provide her with a new plate quickly but I had to ask for a replacement rather than them offer it. Everything was fried to death. For the price I expected more. An apology upfront would have gone a long way. My mother had to basically ask for an apology which was given half heartedly. The manager blamed the check debacle on the fact that we were sitting between two tables(which is how we were sat). It was odd that they had us sit for so long rather than just ask us what we ordered, it was clear they cared mostly about our money and less about our satisfaction. Personally, I can not reccomend the place. Hopefully they will learn to do betterhandling these situations and large parties. While our wait staff was friendly the overall service experence was sloppy and fustrating.

My hubby and I are from Maryland, currently live in South Philly and are always on the lookout for GOOD crabs. This place said all you can eat and we were there. We both ordered the all you can eat crabs with a side of steamed shrimp. The shrimp were HUGE and the crabs were well seasoned, juicy and great. We went on a weekday afternoon at the end of June right when the place was opening up. Service as quick and you get a lot of food for the price. Hush puppies were the bomb. I’d give it 5 stars if there was outdoor seating available(not sure if it was an option). We are going back this Saturday and I hope not to be disappointed.

This was the first stop my boyfriend and I made upon arriving in Rehoboth. I’m a native Marylander(and I’m working on turning him as well) so I’m always up for crab. The place was crowded but we got s table in under 10 minutes. They have a platter option where you can get 2 items + a side for $ 23, and 3 items + side for $ 29 — pretty good prices considering the amount of food you get, IMO. I got the crab cakes and fried clam strips with a side of broccoli. The crab cake was on point — soft and yummy. Next time we’re definitely going to get the whole crabs as those looked awesome too. The staff was friendly and brought our food out fast. I really enjoyed my experience at The Crab House and would definitely come back!

Went in about two days ago with a party of 8 people. We were seated and waited on in a timely fashion. It was apparent very quickly that everything including drinks was going to be extremely slow to arrive at the table. I ordered the all you can eat crabs with an add-on of snow crab legs. Since I wanted to get my moneys worth I ordered immediately. When my crabs arrived they brought 6 blue crabs and only one set of snow crabs which is what I was really there for so I asked for more and within a few min another set arrived. In the mean time my family ordered and they were all very disappointed in what arrived after the long wait. They ran out of raw oysters so they were only able to give us 2 out of the 3 dozen that were ordered. We have had a lot of raw oysters in our trips to the beach but these were so full of shells they were almost inedible. We also ordered a half pound of steamed shrimp, what ended up coming out was 5 medium sized shrimp for $ 12.00. When asked about the size and the lack of shrimp they brought out 3 more and said here is the rest of your order. We also ordered a steamed mussels appetizer and they ended up tasting mushy and a little bit off. In the mean time our second round of drinks must have gotten lost because after 15 min you wonder where they could have gone to. I started asking for more crab legs and they must have gone wherever the beers went because it was at least 30 min that I was waiting for them. At this point while we were still waiting for entrees after at least a 30 min wait for the food we decided to talk to the manager. She immediately started to become defensive and couldn’t seem to understand that our food was just not coming out and the little that we did get had problems. After a ten min talk with her she blamed most of the problems on the«slow kitchen and bar» although the bar was not even full. Finally about ten min after the talk our food came out of the kitchen and my long awaited«all you can eat» crab legs arrived. For the most part what my family had was good and tasty I don’t know if it was worth the long and painful wait though. The manager told us that for our inconvenience she would give us «deserts all around» and by the time we were ready for desert that number somehow dropped to 3 desserts for a table of 8. When the waiter checked with the manager that number somehow then dropped to 2 desserts for everyone. I don’t know if what happened to us was a fluke because all of the other reviews on here say this place is excellent. When we finally got our food after the 45+ min of waiting we were happy. The restaurant was full but other tables didn’t seem to have a problem getting what they ordered. I also want to add that if your thinking of getting the all you can eat just to let you know they do have a time limit of 1 hour and 45 min to eat.

My partner and I came here 4th of July weekend. We came soon after they open at 4pm to beat the crowd. We were one of the first customers which was great because everything had just been set up like the trash can they put next to the tables for ease of disposal of your food so it was very clean. We ordered some cocktails. They were typical of what you would get in a family style restaurant. We ordered the medium sized crabs, raw oysters, and clams. The crabs were freshly cooked which we loved because some places pre-cook them and keep them under warmers. The oysters and clams were also fresh but a bit too cold for me to eat right away as I have sensitive teeth. I took them off the ice and let them sit while I was eating the crab since they were very cold. The service was friendly and attentive. We would come back given the friendly staff, fresh seafood, and clean feel.

After looking up restaurants on Unilocal,we decided on the Crab House based on the reviews and pictures of the food! We did not leave disappointed at all! The crab balls were delicious as noted in numerous other reviews, and they started off the meal perfectly! We also had crab cakes, steamed shrimp, fried shrimp, mac and cheese, corn, and fries and all of it was delicious! The steamed shrimp are definitely a better value than the fried because you get so many and they are huge! The corn was cooked perfectly and it didn’t need the butter that the waitress never brought out anyway! The Mac and cheese and the fries were both above average and complimented the crab cakes and shrimp nicely. When we are in the mood for seafood other than all you can eat crabs, we will definitely be going back to The Crab House!

This place gets busy, and for good reason. The food was great! I had the stuffed shrimp. It was amazing. My Friend loved the snow crab legs. The service was great. The food came out quick and hot. I will definitely be going back and would highly recommend to others!

I got a crabcake sandwich with fries and thought the meal was pretty good. I don’t remember the exact cost but I think it was under $ 12 and the portion was huge. BF ordered a crab and chicken cheesesteak, I think, and he liked it but didn’t find much crab in it. Our server was extremely friendly and good at his job. He kept our sodas refilled and told us we could get our own complimentary popcorn if we wanted more and didn’t see him(in a nice way, not a do it yourself way). And as a lifelong Marylander, I did want more of that Old Bay popcorn! So yummy! I will be back to eat here anytime I’m outlet shopping nearby!
