Very happy we found this. Waitstaff friendly and helpful. Food phenomenal. Will definitely be coming back when we come to the beach again.

Friendly servers, great food and we didn’t even have to wait for a table! I’d definitely go back in the near future. (This review is originally from April 2014. I apparently never published it, but it was«saved» when I logged in after 2 years)

So we called at 7 to confirm hours — asked specifically due to Super Bowl — told open until 9 pm — arrived at a little after 8 — CLOSED! We are regular big Fish Grill group diners and were certainly more than disappointed in the response from the management at Big Fish Grill Rehoboth Beach — pretty much a too bad not our fault told to close by above administration — very disappointed in BFG — may need to re-assess loyalty to BFG. Front of house suggested speaking to mgr for possible comp for a future visit — Mgr’s response was it was«not my fault — I was told to close» — congratulations BFG — another happy customer! Obviously great customer service is only when you have been seated, served and will be paying a bill.

We came here on NYE with a party of 4. We did have to wait awhile to be seated, but no problem. Are server was awesome. 3 of us ordered the Salmon which is always delicious. Of course you have to get the Niva’s potatoes along with it.

My husband, my dad, and I went here for lunch today. After we were seated, I think we were forgotten about because we waited for about 15 minutes and never saw a server. My dad did flag down a hostess and a manager? came over to take our order(wasn’t our server). We did eventually get a server, but he never introduced himself and didn’t really check on us. My shrimp tacos were great. My husband and dad really enjoyed their food as well. I recommend the potatoes as a side! Perhaps they were having an off day. I’d come back to see if the service was better.

Cool place to go for dinner if you want to blend in and get a few drinks. The food is somewhat bland depending on what you get though. And you will wait! But it’s all good because the ambience is nice. Would come back.

Ok so the food here is outstanding. I ordered the 2 different kinds of sea food pasta dishes they have and they absolutely delicious. I also ordered several other dishes and they where great as well. Came here a good 10 times. I always sat at the bar as I did not come here with the family, and there was always a wait time, but not at the bar. I want to thank Eilaina and Michelle for there superb service. Not a fan of Delaware, but would make an exception just to come and eat here. P. s. best time to come here is when they have either the lunch/dinner specials.

The reason this big restaurant is so good? The wait staff really US that good, the portions, the price, the décor… It’s just great quality at a reasonable price. It’s just not a hole in the wall– but that’s okay, because you’ve got a better chance of getting in the door!

We were looking for a good seafood place. Big Fish did not disappoint. The atmosphere was really cool and kept my four year old fascinated. The food was decent yet my child’s chicken fingers were dry. Jen was a great server and very friendly and accommodating. I had the lump crab sandwich and that was really tasty. Watch out for all the sharks! It’s like a feeding frenzy. ;-)

The wait is definitely worth it. We were notified via text message that our table was ready, we waited 40 minutes on 09/05/2015. Don’t let the wait discourage you from trying this restaurant. Let’s start by addressing how wonderful our server Alyx was. She was very knowledgeable about the specials and provided amazing recommendations for all of our appetizers, entrees and dessert(yes, leave room for dessert, their bread pudding is phenomenal). 1. Clean bathrooms 2. Great staff 3. Food comes out quickly, 4. Amazing fresh seafood We will definitely be returning to Big Fish.

This is the in-laws favorite seafood restaurant in Rehoboth Beach & they’ve been coming here for 10 years. I’m giving 4 out of 5 because the risotto was crappy. It’s not a perfect place, but they do a very good job. Most of the food will be cooked perfect. The food: table side shucked oysters were great! The U-12 cocktail shrimp were cooked perfectly, calamari is always cooked perfectly. I got the swordfish this time– amazing! Unfortunately the lobster risotto was very bland & very dry. Do not waste your money. Desert: peanut butter cake every time!!! Ps: we also got a mediocre cheese & bacon burger. They have cinnamon ice cream my niece loves. I tried it– not a big cinnamon guy.

This is a terrific cheers bar. The staff is super friendly to both themselves and their guests. You can sit in the front restaurant which is best for families the middle restaurant bar or dining area or the back bar which I like the best. Wines by the glass are great and some of the best seafood in town. They have a seafood cart they wheel around in the restaurant which offers a lot of options likes so strip, lobster etc.

Great time, great fun, great food. Our group of nine were hot and tired after a day at the beach. This was a welcome respite. We were told there was a 30 minute wait; however, an outdoor table opened and we were seated right away. The outdoor fans were a big plus to keep air circluating. Our server was attentive and the food was everything we hoped in a seafood establishment. Four of us has salads that were fresh, colorful and outstanding. The fish dishes were just as good. Our only wish was for bigger appetites.

This is a big place that has always been packed when we visit and has some of the freshest fish in the area. They have a full bar here and will really make anything that you could want as al the drinks I have gotten here are good but you have to go with the orange crush right. They had fried scallops plate on the menu but were able to broil them for me instead on that dinner plate and they were absolutely awesome. I tried some of the soft shell crabs and halibut which were also great. Would eat here once a week if I lived in the area. Staff was great and a little pricey but you get what you pay for which is some awesome food. Be aware they have a pretty limited parking area for the amount of business they do so keep that in mind when planning your trip.

We always come here when we are in Rehoboth. This time I got the Shrimp Linguini, but replaced the garlic wine sauce for marinara sauce. It was so yummy! I wish they had an option to replace the shrimp with scallops, but I liked mine regardless! It came with garlic, sun dried tomatoes, and pine nuts. Didn’t come with the yummy garlic bread though! It was $ 18. The service was great, I just wish they would be more generous with beverages. The lemonade was just bottled Minute Maid which isn’t so great :/

I have two favourites places to eat at the beach. Places where you can dress up or down Places where you know you’re gonna get a good meal. Places I would take out of towners for a real taste of seafood. Places where you are never or rarely disappointed. Big Fish Grill in Rehoboth & Sedona’s in Bethany Beach. Go early in the summer and on weekends because the wait can get LONG! They start you out with a complimentary small portion of smoked fish salad & crackers– try it — it’s DELISH! You can also buy some to go in the seafood shop next door. Curb your crying or fussy children and let them draw on the paper covering the table. It’s fun. Great starter: Calamari with 2 different dipping sauces — some kind of Aioli that is better than crack(and you can keep your teeth!) Every day there’s a special menu — check that out first. A decadent but reliable choice is the daily seafood pasta — I’m going to upload a picture. Last time I got it it had huge shrimp, scallops, & large pieces of LOBSTER! All tossed together in a cream sauce. Splurge and order garlic bread(don’t know why it doesn’t come with it!) on the side. So many good choices! Always generous portions & too much to finish, I usually can get 3 meals from the seafood pasta. Honestly, get there early & enjoy the good fresh seafood. Are you from a landlocked state? The Midwest, Idaho, or Pennsylvania? THIS is the real deal. Sorry Red Lobster, this is what you wish you were!

I like the fact that it’s kid friendly with a huge white table cloth to color on. The calamari was tasty. The Mahi Mahi with lobster sauce was small and ok. The crab quiche was ok the house salad was very good. Not bad.

We’re headed to VA and did a pit stop in Rehoboth for lunch. I found this restaurant on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. Clean with a cute fish/nautical theme. The restaurant is big and bright. Lots of booths, seating in the back and a wine room. Large parking lot. Clean restrooms. Staff is very friendly. The restaurant has a handful of tables considering it’s 1pm on a rainy Monday afternoon. Our server, Alyx, is very nice and accommodating. We asked her what the soups of the day were and asked which she liked better between the tomato garlic lobster bisque and creamy seafood chowder. She let us decide by bringing us samples of each one! They came out piping hot and I must say that the seafood chowder was definitely a winner. The tomato garlic lobster bisque had a strong sherry wine taste which made it undesirable. We started out with a bowl of seafood chowder which had tons of fish, bay shrimp, baby scallops, potatoes, celery and carrots. Hot and delicious especially with a few dashes of Tabasco. For our entrees, I ordered the blackened tilapia on top of the big fish salad with house made garlic ranch. If you’re familiar with my reviews, I LOVERANCH dressing especially ones made from scratch, not the crap from the bottles or mixes(no offense to those who love it). Their ranch is a little bit on the sweeter side, but that’s easily fixed with squeezes of some wedges of lemon. Hubby ordered the crab cake sandwich with sautéed spinach. I’m not a big fan of crab cakes so I wasn’t too fond of this dish. Hubby said the flavors were good, but it wasn’t jumbo lump as stated on the menu. He probably found 1 piece of lump and most of the meat was minced. On top of the great service, we asked Alyx if she knew of a faster route to get to Norfolk and she printed us out directions from Mapquest! Thank you, Alyx! Definitely will return to this restaurant again.

Their menu set up was not the greatest it’s all over the board hard to look at hard to take in. They need a new menu. If you have a gluten intolerance or any other allergy they have a menu for it I believe we saw about five different menus. The Cioppino was the best thing ever! Too bad it wasn’t my mail. I got the fish tacos which I was not very happy with, only for the simple reason is most restaurants have very flavorful fish tacos. These were a 3 out of 5. I didn’t hear any complaints with anyone’s meal.

Have been hearing rave reviews for years but never got around to trying it until last weekend. Good food. Only one visit. Perhaps my next review will be better. Called ahead and heard there was a 40 minute wait because they do not take reservations. Got there and was told there was a 30 minute wait. Said we would take the first available table and after only 5 minutes I got a text message that our table was ready! YAY! Jessica brought smoked fish salad and saltines immediately. Took our order and the food came out fast but not together. My sides came out before my main dish. My friend got her food first and we told her to eat before anything got cold. It was a weird concept. I think that is great for kids at the table but if a large table is waiting for everyone to get their food before starting, then I think a plate sitting under a hot lamp so all plates are served together is a better idea. Just a thought. The fish salad was very delicious. Dad was hungry because dinner had been delayed 2 hours so he only let me have three bites while he ate the rest. He had the flash fried flounder which came with 2 fillets, a huge mound of cole slaw and a large pile of fries($ 21). He ate all the fish and mumbled something about it being really tasty! My vegan friend ordered the fresh farmers plate which had corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, asparagus, broccoli, sauteed spinach, bok choy, beefsteak tomatoes and mixed field greens($ 16). She said it was good but a big plate of veggies for 16 bucks. Really? I ordered the pan seared trio of angus beef which was 3 petite filets(3 oz pre-cooked), 3 baby crab cakes(1.5 oz cooked), sauteed mushrooms and neva’s potatoes($ 33). If I had known the medallions were so small, I would have asked for rare… as it was, my medium rare was pushing medium. Jessica asked me to cut into my meat and I should have refused. The juice came rushing out and that tiny little piece ended up being dry. I salvaged it with what tasted of a burgundy sauce and the other 2 petites were juicy albeit medium. The meat was nicely cooked on the outside. Crispy. The mushrooms were nice and the potatoes were incredible. A little casserole of hashbrowns and cheese. YUM! The food was good. At a place called Big Fish, stick with fish or seafood. Jessica never came back after making me cut my steak. I needed ice tea. The service was so fast and efficient that my empty cup stood out. I just wasn’t impressed considering the other restaurants I had dined at during the weekend. I will come back. Fish and chips next time! Oh. And save room for dessert… they are GIANT… large enough for 3 people to share!
