For a place with Whiskey in the name, this was a terrible disappointment. Looks to be a decent beer bar, but that isn’t the impression the name gives you. Just don’t go there if you want good whiskey.

Nicole B and I stopped here on Saturday night. If I could give it zero stars, I would. The bartender moved in slow motion and I ordered the Dewey Buoy which I have had before at Grottos. This one was nothing like it, and was so terrible I couldn’t even drink it. Not that the bartender noticed, and it took forever to get our bill. We moved on to a fun place with good drinks.

Unfortunately Rehoboth Beach doesn’t have any beach bars so the next best thing is drinking beside the beach on the boardwalk where you can still see the ocean and sand and get that gentle breeze while getting your buzz on. This is limited to less than half a dozen businesses, Whiskey Jack’s being one of the better ones. It’s actually owned and connected to a Grotto Pizza but feels like a completely separate business. The front of the place is completely open which makes you feel like you’re outside minus the sun and heat. 90s music seemed to be the only thing going through speakers but you won’t here me complain. The small bar was definitely a mix of people and tends to fill up in the evenings. Prices are very good as a 22oz Coors Light is $ 3.50, better beer options(like a Dogfish Head IPA) are $ 6 for a 22oz.
