I’ve been getting my hair cut and colored by Carol for over 7yrs. now & she flat out rocks! I have very thin hair so when I grow it out it looks very unhealthy. I tell her most of the time ‘do whatever you want w/​it’ and she cuts it perfectly (and short, as we agreed) EVERY TIME! (she’s a perfectionist) I get compliments on my hair ALL the time
My only complaint (about the salon) is that not all of the stylists dress professionally. It makes the salon look bad when ANY stylist shows up to work w/​out doing their own hair & wearing clothes like they’re going to Walmart for the day.

Love this place! Carol takes so much time and is a perfectionist! The environment is clean, professional, and fun. Stylists who have never even done my hair remember my name and stop by to say «hi». Reasonable prices and feels like a day spa.

I’ve been going to Aslan for almost 16 years. Love Neal to death and Tammy too. If I ever have an issue or the cut/​color wasn’t exactly what I was expecting, Neal will always correct it. He’s also charming and by now I consider him a good friend and confidant. I highly recommend this salon. I tried several others in Reno after moving to Tahoe from the Bay Area and they just couldn’t stack up. I also appreciate the effort that Tammy puts into ongoing training of her stylists. They are always knowledgable about current trends and products. Love you Aslan!

The salon is nice, but after two years, I found a new salon. One that appreciates their customers. My hairstylist at Aslan consistently called to rebook my appointments because of personal issues (her son had soccer, her husband was working out of town, etc. etc. etc.). I was patient until the 6^th or 7^th rebook. To the owner at Aslan (Tammy) — consider employing stylists who take their jobs seriously and stop bitching about you behind your back, and train your front desk staff to treat your customers they way they deserve to be treated

I have gone to Aslan in the past, and always loved the environment. The salon is high end, but the staff is incredibly friendly and very professional. Finding a salon that balances those two elements is very hard in my experience. Already loving the salon, it was a huge bonus to have my friend and stylist, Amanda Schultz work there. She is such a talented stylist, and I always get exactly what I want– even when I am not sure what that is! I have very thick, difficult hair and my color and cut is always perfection, and I always leave perfectly styled. She is sweet and professional, and the entire experience makes getting your hair done such a treat!

I’ve been going to Amanda Schultz forever… so I followed her to Aslan. Amanda is fantastic and very personable and listens to what her client needs but will offer style advice if you ask. The salon is clean and professional — can’t ask for much more than that. You can also go in to get your bangs trimmed without an appointment.

I’ve been seeing Gina Cords at Aslan since about 2005. The only time I strayed was when I was living abroad for over a year and even then I didn’t want to get my hair cut because I didn’t want the stylist + my lack of language skills to totally mess it up. She does a consistently great job with my hair because she knows me and what I like sometimes even before I do. I definitely recommend her.

What a luxurious experience getting taken care of at Aslan-​A Salon. Tamara and her crew are simply the best! I would never go anywhere else!

I’ve been going to Aslan-​A Salon for a while now and know several of the stylists there. Personally I go to Lizzie and she does a fantastic mens cut for a great price. Any guy will be much happier going here than one of the franchises in town.
One thing I really appreciate about my stylist is the fact that she’s not always doing the same cut each time. It’s easy with your hairdresser to get into a rut of always getting the same thing done but the girls I’ve been to here always do something different and make sure it looks good.
My wife also comes here and is extremely happy with Christy that styles her hair.
I also appreciate that I get calls reminding me a day before that I have an appointment.

Tammy Di Pietro is awesome with cut and color. She has definately made my transition smooth from a natural redhead… to keeping out the greys after 40. Salon is clean and always helpful. Open, however, you can carry on a conversation without everyone else involved.

Asalan Salon is clean, well organized and all of the employees are skilled. i have curly hair that is colored and highlighted. Gina has colored and cut my tresses for several years. She is precise and understands the «science» behind hair color. She also keeps the color soft and vibrant. She is the best!

I came all the way from Burbank CA to go see Merry Olgivie at Aslon. She is precise and knows what she is doing in highlights and cutting. She spends along time getting it perfect and will listen to what you want done. She color corrected a bad weave from Frenchy’s in Burbank and my hair is finally pretty again! She is also very reasonably priced.

As a guy getting a hair cut, you always want someone that can listen to you and understand what you want. It was weird that we had the same name but Neil did a hella of a job cutting my hair. No pressure, great customer service. All around a great experience.

This place is a Kerastase Salon and I love the treatments. This salon is clean and organized. Tamra is a color-​guru. Mrs. Thurston Howell the Third will be going back.
