My wife and I moved from Tucson, AZ recently and we’ve been starving for some quality Mexican food. This place is definitely bookmarked forever. Their burritos were the best we’ve had so far in Reno. Their tortillas rival those of my mom(just don’t tell her I told you!). Coming from a couple of Mexicans who lived their entire lives on the AZ/Mex border, this is what Mexican food tastes like. I would highly recommend this place.

One of the cashiers is very rude. I ordered a torta and the representation was not good it was very soggy and there was no avocado, no onion. Sadly to say the place was a little dirty.

I came here once for a regular burrito, which we pretty decent, but this review is for their breakfast burritos. Yum!!! It’s got all the ingredients I want in a breakfast burrito(eggs, potatoes, beans, cheese, meat, salsa), which surprisingly can be hard to find in Reno. The fresh flour tortilla was delicious, and their salsas packed a punch! I loved seeing them use and cook fresh eggs, scrambled in a pan just like you’d do at your own house. The order took less than 10 minutes to make. It was delicious! The only downside was it wasn’t packed too full, so while the tortilla was huge it wasn’t stuffed full of ingredients. That made the burrito a bit floppy, and I left not overly full. But, will certainly come here again, probably soon!

I’m sad that I didn’t love it. I’m on a mission for that one Mexican joint that I can become loyal to. Our order: carne asada burrito combo, and a chicken taco. Pro: the freshly made tortilla, can’t complain about that. The carne asada was seasoned great, so the burrito had good flavor. We came in before the lunch rush, so the dining area was clean, and we only waited about 5 min for our food. Cons: for the price I expected a bit of a bigger serving and a drink included with the combo? Apparently I’m accustomed to big fat burritos and bottomless chips and a drink included! The chicken taco was bland, and the hot sauce we asked for was not as spicy as I’d hope for. In fact, it wasn’t «hot» at all. I do want to come back to try their breakfast burrito, so all hope is not lost.

Been here a total of 3 times. Such a great idea having this place. Loved the chili rellenos, but you must check your to go containers very carefully before you leave. All 3 times we didn’t receive our complete order. Last night we decided to get burritos to take home for dinner. 1 Chicken and 1 Carnitas. The enchilada sauce they gave us on the side was completely delicious, but that is where it ended. The flour tortillas were mealy and were not fresh. And broke apart. Very sad this place wasn’t better because again. Great idea.

My family loves this place — never disappointed. The food is good and the people nice. So glad to have a bit of Bertha Miranda’s close to us.

December 19, 2015 Saturday — 12 Noon for lunch 1 adult and a kid Atmosphere — 4 star Food & Drinks — 4 stars Service — 4 stars Background — My daughter wanted some Mexican food and I used my Unilocal app to help me find a place that I had not been too before. Atmosphere — A small place inside a gas station sitting along a Yogurt Beach. Food Drinks — A Mexican Coke, but they do have beer on tap but I just went with the Coke. Main Corse — I had the carne asada burrito. The inside of burrito was nothing special but the shell itself was made with a very fresh tortilla. I saw them rolling out dough while ordering my meal. The little extra touches matter and what they did to burrito was to lightly toast the shell to give that extra flavor. Service — The lady that helped was what you need from a cashier. The problem lies with the menu board and location. So the register is the corner where you order and so is the board. So to read the board you block the register or vice a versa. They need to move the board so it can be easily read without block the line. Future — Sure.

We were truly pleased to find this little prize while out Christmas shopping. It’s fast food with the Bertha Miranda’s touch! We had carne asada tacos with a Chile relleno on the side. There didn’t appear to be meals, rice and beans are a side and you pay per side to build a plate. That’s okay because for lunch we didn’t want rice and beans. The Chile relleno is typical tasty Bertha Miranda’s made with the proper Chile(poblano) and Bertha’s classic enchilada sauce. The tacos are on hand made tortillas with the works. Guacamole, pico De gaio, onion and cheese. If you’re looking for a good, fast Mexican food lunch, this is the place on the south end of Reno.

Trying to type and eat an amazing breakfast burrito is pretty tuff at the moment. I don’t really understand why anyone would give a bad review unless you only enjoy Mexican food that is only covered in cheese, and beans that have the flavor of the color beige. There are plenty of sudo Mexican food places down south here that cater to kids and older folks by having dishes that have ZERO flavor. The Bertha’s House Burrito is amazing. Growing up in Albuquerque I have know what a good breakfast burrito is and have to say this great little deli has nailed it. Wonderful flavors, not filled with wet egg and a fresh made tortillas that is to die for. Great job moving something like this in our area so I don’t have to have potato wedges at some trendy breakfast place, or Mexican food that is only covered with a pound of cheese and gray beans! Go…try and prove me wrong.

The Bertha Miranda’s Breakfast Burritos(with Chorizo) are the best in town, bar none. Packed with protein which makes it ideal post marathon training meal. I ran 15 miles this morning and was craving this delicious delicacy the last 5 miles. It has the protein and sodium I need to begin the recovery process.

Yummy Bertha Miranda food we have grown to love, EXCEPT the pricing and serving sizes on their BEANANDCHEESEBURRITOS are a TOTALRIPOFF!!! Inconsistent sizing and extreme pricing will keep us out of there indefinitely! I know that a can of beans costs $ 1.00 or even less sometimes; when I go to Bertha’s To Go and get charged the price of at least 6 cams of beans, there is something really off! I cannot recommend this yummy food to my friends because you guys WAYOVERCHARGE! Let me know when you are consistent with the sizing and more fair on your B and C Burrito pricing!

I am in love with their homemade tortillas!!! I never knew a good tortilla could make that much of a difference. They are so good and make every burrito outstanding. I do think however, they are a little overpriced for a burrito, but my love affair with their tortillas with continue regardless.

Their handmade tortilla is delicious. Guy name Brendur was such help, he was so friendly and nice. They were about to close already on Sunday night but they held it open just for us, the last minute customers. They could have totally turn us around saying they were already closing but they stayed open just for us so that was very nice. He didn’t even have any attitude about it either and made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Also when our daughter was making a mess from eating frozen yogurt, we didn’t even ask for it but Brendur grabbed some napkins and handed to us. What a great service. Just for him, we thought we were coming back again. Thank you for the kind service!!!

This is home cooked Mexican food at its finest and best of all its conveniently located inside a gas station, so you can fill up your tank too! Considering that most gas stations only offer junk food, this Mexican food definitely is a hidden gem. I highly recommend this Mexican food for its convenience, service, and quality. Most of the time I would say there is no such thing as fast Mexican food but as the poster inside their restaurant states, «Slow food served fast» is on point when describing the type of experience you get with this restaurant. I recommend anyone try the carne asada burrito or carne asada torta. Trust me you can’t go wrong.

The service was fast. The employee was very nice. The food was delicious. It was probably my favorite Mexican food in the Reno/Sparks area. The prices were reasonable.

My boyfriend and I just got done eating lunch here. I had the carnitas burrito and he had the chicken burrito. We both got chips and salsa and homemade horchata. The tortillas themselves were really good. Also house made. Everything inside the burrito was pretty plain and unseasoned. The meats didn’t taste like they were marinated at all. There was no sauce that came inside or outside or even offered with it making it pretty dry. The salsa was«ok». I’ve had better. The horchata was great but it was $ 1.50 for what was a tiny 12 Oz cup filled with ice. My boyfriend accidentally spilled his and not only did they make him pay for another but they over charged him $ 2.49??? Will not be back to this location. There is way better Mexican food and too much competition for a place to allow this much room for error.

If you are in need of a fill up, use the pumps and avoid Bertha’s at all cost. Traditionally gas stations(nationwide) offer a hidden hot spot and a soul enriched experience. This one leaves you disappointed and a bit pissed off. The food is of «fair» quality and the service is, well let’s just say it’s a self service pump. Portions are greatly reduced from most fine Mexican restaurants but the price is inflated. And I’m not sure why. The only soda they have is the old dingy bottle garbage, and nothing else really to drink. If you are in the mood for Mexican and you find yourself out South, do yourself a favor and drive the extra two blocks and visit Los Compadres on Foothill. This place is ran by kids who have little or no professionalism in them.

This is at the revamped Gas station and car wash on Virginia at Huffaker and Longley. A basic fast food joint where one orders at the counter. Friendly folks working and quick service. The burrito I ordered first two bites, I was thinking, uh no thanks. But then the third bite it came alive with the flavor one expects. This proves one should spread all ingredients evenly to get the full experience each bite. Very hard surfaces and uninviting color scheme. To me it was more befitting a toilet than an eating area. The deli case was really lacking in product and set up. But one goes for the food and that was just fine.
