I have always had a pleasant dining experience at Biscotti’s. Wonderful food and prompt courteous service.

My daughter had a blueberry bagel with butter and cream cheese. I had a double shot of expresso. Both were good. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. A little pricey but otherwise good. We’ll be back.

Sweets, sweets, sweets, my life revolves around sweets! I was craving gelato so we came here. Holy moly! The single scoop is like a double anywhere else. I got the chocolate and the white chocolate gelato in a cup. The chocolate gelato had a nice flavor and mixed well with the white chocolate gelato. I love that the white chocolate gelato had ribbons of hard chocolate mixed in. It was a perfectly sweet combination that even I had a hard time finishing and I have a massive sweet tooth! You will not be disappointed by the size but you should definitely come hungry because the size of a single scoop is enough to replace an entire meal! I will mostly definitely return the next time I am craving a cool, sweet treat.

Service — prompt and courteous. Serving /price — huge serving for the low price of $ 3.50 for a ‘small’ scoop of gelato. Hardly small. It overflowed the container and was painstakingly crafted to meld the two flavors I chose into one cup with an overwhelming amount of gelato. Cleanliness — clean with plenty of seating. Selection — more gelato than my tastebuds could fathom. I tried 4 flavors total even though I was immediately hooked on the coffee and green tea, which I tried first. Taste — the gelato is nice. The flavors are strong enough to provide a perfect taste profile without being overwhelming. I would return here next time I am craving a sweet gelato treat. For the value and the taste this is a great dessert spot.

I always come here after the going to the arcade or if I want a crêpe. It’s one of the few places in reno where I can get one. They also have gelato which I got my last visit. They have more gelato flavors up here than they do downstairs. It’s open seating so the tables may be taken if there is a convention going on.

Biscotti’s was a go-to place, when visiting the Peppermill. This place has become more of a hit and miss, to the point where I would rather miss. Their Sunday brunch is definitely several notches up from a typical buffet. There’s a good selection of fruits, gourmet cheeses, King crab legs, a small carving station and hot and cold variety of foods and desserts. But bring your appetite and your pocketbook… if you’re going to pay nearly $ 40, per adult, then make sure you get your money’s worth. The ambiance here is pretty. The service here is decent. For example, on our last visit here, the waitress was friendly and accidentally elbowed our soup. She was quick to apologize and also to get a replacement. Biscotti’s also has an extensive beer menu and some refreshing specialty drinks. Their gelato is also creamy and delicious and pairs well with their freshly made crepes. Good things and«elbow soup» aside, I want to still say I like Biscotti’s but I can’t bring myself to. Our last visit there made me feel the food has gone downhill… My prime rib sandwich was dry and lacked flavor, the fries were cold and the French onion soup was much too salty(think heart attack in a bowl). Hubby told me his pasta dish was bland and boring. Maybe we were just there on an off night, but with the higher prices and Peppermill hospitality, I would expect for better food. One star for the gelato and another for the service/ambiance.

Went there last Friday night after hunting for a decent late-night place at the peppermill. Just about every place was closed(on a Friday night, go figure), so needless to say, this was not my first choice. Honestly though, I was pleasantly surprised ! Our server was super helpful and accommodating, even though we were one of his last tables. The bf and I shared a sampler appetizer and fettuccine alfredo. The wings in the sampler were awesome– tangy, crunchy and spicy ! I loved them, and honestly wings tend not to wow me– Ever. The pasta was creamy and cooked well. I’m usually very picky and critical about my pastas, so this says a lot. The pasta came with a slice of buttery garlic bread that was grilled to crispy perfection around the edges… Mmm. Carbs. I really enjoyed Biscotti’s and will be back when I return to the peppermill.

When all you have is crappy coffee and pre-fab desserts and pastries, service is what you’re selling. And Biscotti’s Café has none. In the Peppermill, supposedly the«nicest place in town,» you’ll find plenty of substandard food and totally incompetent, untrained help.
