Me and Caressa Kisses Bunny of the year 2015 did a on camera interview at UNR, the school of Journalism. As we were driving out Ck says omg daddy I am hungry, YOUNEVEREATBEFORE A TVSHOOT. We stopped and got CK a dawg and it was just the best. Bunnys love hot dogs. Lots of great toppings, next time I am trying the Polish Dwag. Th guy in the stand was all personality and that made a 4 star dawg a five star experience

Wonderful hotdogs which are hard to come by in Reno for an affordable price and loads of toppings to choose from.

Best place to get a hot dog in Reno, great selection of toppings, good size hot dogs, the price is okay. Sometimes the line can get long but they are only making hot dogs so it doesn’t take too long. I love the beef or the polish dog with pineapple, pink onions, bodacious sauce, ketchup, and mustard.

The neon pink onions are a must to complete the hot dog; neon pink onions are life. The best part about this place aside from the amazing hot dogs and great service is the ability to use the foodbucks that come with any college meal plan at their truck. It just makes so much sense to come here.

A very different take out your traditional hot dog. I got mine with pickled pink onions and their signature Bodacious sauce. Lots of great flavors packed in each bite. I’m trying to eat a little healthier lately so I try not to give in to their tantalizing aromas when I’m at UNR. Recommended for the bold and adventurous food lovers.

BoDawgs is good. There menu is so simple, it seems complicated. Came here for lunch with co-workers. As we approached, the line with nominal and I noticed 3 workers inside. We were greeted with a smile, which is always nice. Their dogs are $ 3.99 each and drinks are a buck. This has got to be one of the most reasonable portable eateries drink prices ever! You are presented with two dog options. Beef or Polish. I opted for the beef and for their toppings got banana peppers, jalapeño peppers, neon pink onions and onions. I was asked if I would like a sauce, and then remembered, I didn’t ask for any. That was nice that I was asked. It made the experience so much better when I bit into that doggy and it Unilocaled out a delicious flavor(pun intended). I chose the Bodacious sauce. This sauce is a BBQ sauce without the tang that most BBQ sauces have. I first tired the neon pink onions. These little goodies were crunchy and good. Very good. They make them themselves and the pickled taste was not over powering. It was just good. The dog was a conventional dog but was not too salty as inexpensive dogs normally are. Therefore, I figure BoDawgs uses a higher quality dog. I don’t know, it’s just a guess. The jalapeño peppers were crisp, not mushy, as my friend Jason pointed out. They may have drained the jalapenos in the morning so they would have time to drain properly. The banana peppers were crisp with a lot of flavor and the onions(regular) were fresh cut. The bun was firm yet soft on the inside and had a mild sweet taste to it. Very nice addition to the flavor of the dog and peppers. My co-workers, both agreed good dogs. I will not compare this place to the other hot dog shops I frequent. Why,(I knew you’d ask) because each place I go to has something unique to offer. Why only four stars? I always ding on trucks. Seating is never convenient, it’s too hot, too cold, too windy or too sunny. But, it’s the nature of the beast and I can’t be too harsh on something that BoDawgs has little control over. Bottom line — — — — — — — — — – Since this place is in/at UNR, just northwest of where the old Getchell library used to be, next to the old Virginia Street Gym, I will come and eat here again. Be Careful, it can get ridiculously busy here at lunch, especially when school is in session.

Wow! I ordered a polish dog here with the spicy mustard sauce, banana peppers, and their special neon pink pickled onions which are onions marinated in a mixture of lime juice and other ingredients. The whole thing was awesome and hit the spot! The guy working in the food truck had excellent customer service too!

This truck come to UNR every week and it is fantastic! I know a lot if people complain about the price, but $ 4 is not that much, and it’s worth every penny. They have such a good selection for toppings it’s unbelievable. I don’t normally care for hot dogs, but these are literally AMAZING… It’s definitely a nice way to reward yourself after a day full of classes.

4bucks for a normal sized hot digg is definitely pricey, but they manage to compensate by offering a pretty big selection of toppings for their hot dogs, they also offer cops ands drinks for extra charge

This is such an awesome food truck. I totally love BoDawgs. I first tried the heat sauce on accident, because it’s not something that I would normally order, but I’m so glad that I did! The sauce is, I believe, a BoDawgs concoction of honey chipotle mustard sauce, and it’s absolutely perfect. I have never before had a hot dog this good, and it’s primarily thanks to that wonderful«secret» heat sauce. I also usually order a polish dog with heat sauce and chopped onions, and I sometimes throw a pickle spear on the side. The food truck has a long list of interesting ingredients, though(neon pink pickled onions, cream cheese, pineapple, banana peppers, etc.), and adding toppings adds no extra cost to your hot dog. The only downside I’ve experienced is that their buns — which are rolls from a local business, 5th Street Bakehouse — are typically served a little too cold. But it’s nothing to dwell on when you could be eating your amazing hot dog. BoDawgs is one of the best food options near the UNR campus!

Yummm but it has its downsides. $ 4+(with tax) for just a a hot dog is a bit steep for me but it tastes great but then again so does Costco’s $ 1.25 hotdog and that comes with a drink. Whatever, Bodawgs still tastes amazing. I would probably eat this more often if it wasn’t for 2 things. 1) No nutritional info. A lot of the regulars tend to be a bit on the heavy side so it makes me suspect these things are terrible for you. 2) On multiple occasions(by no means does this happen every time), I have thrown up after eating one of their dawgs. I don’t think they have the best food handling practices(I’ve seen them touching cash then cooking surfaces or food without washing hands). I’m sure this happens in every place, bodawgs you just get to see it since the food is prepared right in front of you. It says something about how how good these things taste that I keep going back even with the mild food poisoning issues. Go ahead and judge. Just don’t have one before a test students!

Great meat in tube form, good grilled bun and the chipotle mustard kicks ass. Put banana peppers on there for a crunch. $ 5.50 at Reno River Fest.

They were at the Sparks Farmer’s Market. I has the polish dawg with the heat sauce, relish and the pickled pink onions. I could eat the onions on almost anything. Try the pickled onions if you try a BoDawgs. They are yummy.

I had the Polish Dog with the marinated pink onions, pickle spear, chopped onions and bodacious sauce. The dogs are good. The toppings(as many as you want for the same price) are REALLY good!

I’m a huge fan of this place. In a world(well, town anyway) where food trucks are becoming huge and are largely unaffordable, BoDawgs offers a very good dog, which is big, along with chips and a drink for under $ 6($ 3.75 for the dog itself). That’s a tough price to find just about anywhere for lunch. I recommend getting everything on the dog. They’ll put cream cheese, jalapeños, pineapple, a pickle wedge, their magnificent sauces and those awesome onions on there, among other things. The bun comes from Fifth St. Bakehouse, another favorite of mine. If you’re on campus, or happen to make it out to Food Truck Friday, make a point to stop by BoDawgs.

Kind of pricey for a hot dog, but the toppings and sauce get it closer to worth it. Fast service and convenient walk from my office on campus make this is a welcome alternative to the mediocre Mexican food on the first floor of Ansari.

This place is on the UNR campus Mon thru Thru, which is a bonus for me. I was disappointed the day I went because they were out of pickle relish but hey they have a huge list of things to add to your dog included in the price, my standard is relish, mustard and onions. The bun is yummy can’t place it but have this type of bread before, the dog is good, you can also choose a polish sausage but I don’t roll that way. Dr. Pepper is in the house, which always makes my day, wouldve give 4 stars but come on a hot dog cart without relish…

Wow! This place was delicious. I was on campus and decided as I was leaving i’d drop by. Luckily I made it over there before 2:30Pm when they shut down. The employee told me they are moving on campus soon which will be really cool. Prices were great and I did a polish dog with pineapple and their sweet sauce. Just sweet enough to compliment the dog but not overpower it. I’m def. going to grab another one the next time i’m around campus and hungry.

I found this little hot dog stand by UNR and decided to give it a try. It looks like a convertered trailer with black/green graphics on it. I ordered a Polish Dawg with everything on it which included pinapple, pink onion, jalapenos, special sauce, and a pickle. There was a party in my mouth and EVERYONE was invited, it was some seriously good grub. And for $ 3.50 you really can’t beat that price. It filled me up and I didn’t even need to eat dinner. They also have some awesome Hawaiian drinks and IBC rootbeer. I talked to the owner and he said they cater, so I’m thinking the next work party I have this would be a fun option for good eats. Overall, a great product at a great price; you can’t loose.
