I’ve had several experiences with Computers of Reno and all of them are positive. – replaced fans and cooler in desktop – cable management in desktop – faulty hard drive replacement in laptop – fan replaced in laptop – hard drive wipe and OS install(windows 7). Really great because he installed all of the correct drivers and the installation had ZERO extra junkware installed. Very clean install. All services are fast, accurate, and from my perspective affordable *($ 60/hr shop rate) — what normally takes me 4 hours takes them only 1 hour. Ask for Kevin he is the man.

I purchased a customized laptop here(desktop replacement) and had some additional work done on my PC. I found the service to be prompt and reasonably priced. They have taken the time to help with some issues at no additional charge.

Watch your wallet!!! I went in to have some old diskettes transferred to CD. The owner quoted me $ 60 up front plus«some costs for the CD». OK, that’s high, but I wanted to get this done today if possible. When I came to pick it all up I was told that would be –another– $ 60!!! for the CD burning and whatnot!(Perhaps a 5 minute operation!) The mail-in prices for this sort of thing range from $ 5 to $ 15 per diskette(I had 3) to various services. I feel pretty taken here. If I had been told the total cost up front I wouldn’t have done it. When I expressed my shock and dismay, he took $ 10 off. Swell! I feel dirty. EDIT: I complained to the Reno BBB and there was some back and forth via their website. In the end the owner threw a lot of Jello on the wall and denied any responsibility here … other than to admit that, indeed, the total charges were unspecified until after the work had actually been done. Can anyone say«bait and switch»???
