The breakfast scramble was the tastiest breakfast. You could taste the quality. Service was top-notch.

We always are looking for new breakfast place that doesn’t have the same ‘ol breakfast food! I think we finally found it! The crepes we had were amazing, super light with totally fresh ingredients. I think I had a summer special which had chicken, corn, cilantro, cheese with two eggs on top. I loved it. The french press coffee was also super good. I had a cinnamon roll for dessert and it was served nice and warm and was not so big that I could not finish it. The service was great also. I will be making this one of my new favorite stops for brunch now! Love that they are open on Sunday too which a lot of places in midtown are not.

So like. their BLTE was pretty stinking bomb! I’ve never had yellow tomatoes and I’m not a fan of tomatoes but they were really good. And the beignetes were delish!!! Thought they were going to be filled with nuttela. but either way they were so warm and awesome! I originally had ordered those to go but I couldn’t resist! Would definitely go again when I visit reno(:

The coffee was fresh and amazing, as were the beignets. The asparagus crêpe with brie was to die for and the atmosphere was clean and modern.

Always a solid choice in my book! Manageable portions, actual ‘Real’ fruit on the side and the best French press coffee. Not to mention they can make them G/F!

I really really wanted to like this place. I was so excited about trying them out but when my friend and i decided to go there for our lunch break one day since it was just up the street from our office i was disappointed in the experience we had. When we get there at 11:40 we were the only ones there except for 1 other person seated. We didn’t need much time because we had already checked out the menu before lunch that day so we would be prepared. As i said. We were excited about eating here. Ot took an unusually longer times than i expected to take our order but when the girl did take it we ordered our lunch as well as an order of beignets right away. Knowing we were only on an hour lunch so i planned for them to be served at the same time as our meal. Our meals were finely served but no beignets. By the time we were half way through our meal i asked the server if the beignets were on their way. When we were done eating she came back to say they forgot about beignets and hadn’t made them so they were starting them now. Keep in mind we are still the only ones in there. I also asked for out check at that time because we needed to leave soon to get back to work. We take care of the check and sit and wait and wait. My friend then notices that the beignets have been sotting on a glass dish on the serving counter for several minutes now. I get the servers attention and point out that we are still waiting for the beignets sitting over there and we need them packaged to go now since they weren’t served when we ordered them and are now late for work. I would not suggest going here at lunch of you only have a specific amount of time for lunch. They clearly don’t understand the concept of serving people on lunch breaks. The food there was ok. I wasn’t exactly impressed. The ham and cheese weren’t proportioned well in the crêpe as every bite had the ham falling out and not mixed in the gooey yumminess of the melted brie cheese. The fried potatoes were over cooked and almost burnt in taste and cooked with no seasoning at all. Not even salt. They were kind of hard to choke down. Upsetting because I had been excited and dreaming of this lunch for a week. I don’t think I will be returning though. Not with all of the amazing other options in midtown.

The polenta and eggs or so you think… We ordered to go being that we were passing through trying to get home to CA My husband and I asked for the polenta and poached eggs. It had ham and cheese on it and we asked if those could be subbed for avocado and tomato on mine… and avocado and asparagus on my husbands. Much to our surprise we got polenta with no eggs and they still added the cheese. :( A teenie bit disappointed considering we waited 30 minutes to get our food and if we had waited a little longer we could have eaten at our favorite place around the corner that opened up at 11am. We left there at about 10:45am. The polenta beans tomato avocado combo was great though. Probably would have been even better with eggs and no cheese. They were however polite.

Hubby and I came here for brunch yesterday after leaving another restaurant due to poor service, and we were quite pleasantly surprised! Cute little friendly hipster café with specialty coffee drinks and some different breakfast dishes you won’t find elsewhere. I got the Englishman crepes… 2 big crepes with ham, brie, caramelized onions, and spinach with a side of fresh fruit. Yum! Husband got the BLT sandwich that came with a tomato jam as tomatoes are currently out of season. Another yum. Our 2 breakfasts and a cinnamon mocha came to ~$ 25, which was quite reasonable for the quality. Very friendly staff, and the whole place had a good vibe. Will definitely be back again, but not soon enough!

Yes, trying to find a place to eat brunch in Midtown on the weekend is not for impatient people. That’s ok. We called ahead to this place and they said no problem, we’ll write you down it’ll be 15 – 20 minutes. Arrived 20 minutes later to find standing room only at the front of the restaurant and not a soul visited the hostess station for 10 minutes. I don’t know if someone called in sick but they were clearly understaffed and completely disorganized. Honestly, if someone had buzzed by and said, ‘we’ll be right with you’ the tension in the crowd would have been toned down but not even eye contact! At least a few other parties left as we waited. Once they seemed to have things under control a little bit they seated a few tables and the service thereafter was alright(writing down orders would help — especially if it’s a party of 5). The food was good and the chefs were def busting their asses to get the job done but wow, the way the front of the restaurant was run, I’m not eager to come back.

So this was my first visit and I’ll definitely try it again. From reading other reviews I gather they did not have table service… but they do have it now. We were greeted by the hostess/waitress when we entered and given a table.(Tables for 2 are really small). Simple décor was clean and inviting. I ordered the Farmhouse crêpe. bacon, spinach, caramelized onion & Cheddar. My daughter ordered the Englishman crêpe… ham, spinach, caramelized onion & Brie. Both of us had difficulty finding the cheese. Yet, both crepes were quite tasty. Menu offered several other crêpe options and a few sandwiches. Looks like breakfast had about 6 additional traditional breakfast options. The menu offered sides: potatoes or hash browns ??(plus several others). Was curious; what’s the difference, I asked… FYI hash browns are the typical shredded potatoes you get just about everywhere they serve hash browns and potatoes are cubed and apparently deep fried like french fries… both were tasty. I ordered a fat free cap. had no fat free or 2% milk, but offered to make it with almond milk. Had trouble with the machine, so she comped the coffee. that was especially nice. Since we were hungry, we ordered beignets. Not as fluffy as expected, but really quite good. They had some other pastries, I’ll have to try on next visit.

I’m really impressed there’s a place like this in Reno! If you want large, greasy breakfast portions, you won’t find it here. If you want quality, well-made food, in the proper portions, Crème Café is where it’s at. I love the open air concept. The young chef is off the hook. He was running around NONSTOP the entire time we were there. They need to get him someone to help him that’s a bit quicker than the other guy in the kitchen since the other guy seemed to move extra slow. We ordered the breakfast burrito, which used real chorizo and turned out to be really well made. And the savory crêpe. I’m not a crêpe person, but the crepes were really good as well. We asked for our hash browns to be crispy, but they didn’t come out crispy. I think the girl who took our order may have forgotten to tell the chef since she didn’t write down our order but tried to memorize it. Coffee was served in a coffee press and tasted so good! It was enough for 2 people to share. -.5 stars for not having alcohol and for no crispy hashbrowns. But seeing how hard the waiter and the hostess(or maybe the owner since she was doing everything and then some) worked, they really deserve the extra .5 stars. Great addition for Reno. It looks like that area is turning into a foodie area since there are a bunch of other restaurants within walking distance we were going to go eat at instead since they didn’t carry alcohol for brunch.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday while visiting Reno from California. The décor was super cute, however the experience overall was disappointing. We placed five orders which took forever to arrive. When our food finally came they only gave us three out of the five orders. The other two people in our party didn’t their food for another 20 minutes and when we asked one of the serves about it she snapped at us very rudely. One of the other servers was kind enough to give us some free coffee cake. The food was pretty bland. Wouldn’t recommend the polenta dish or the Nutella crêpe. This place is definitely cute to look at but the food is vey average and the service poor. Would not recommend.

Omg, I LOVETHISPLACE! I don’t know why I haven’t been here sooner. Ok, I do know why ~ it’s quite a drive from our home, but heck, I wouldn’t have minded the drive had I known it was gonna be this good. We came here for breakfast. We decided, instead of eating somewhere after a hike, we would eat first and then go hike. I checked the trusted Unilocal, and Crème popped up. They open early, so we decided to go there. I’m so happy we did. It’s a small, yet cozy little place. There was a fair amount of people there, but we got seated right away. We were greeted warmly by someone from the bar and by our server. To start, I was torn between the french press coffee(from Blind Dog, for those who want to know) and the Mexican Mocha. I don’t think I’ve had Mexican Mocha before, but when the server said it’s essentially mocha with a dash of cumin, I had to try it. I liked it a lot. It may be a tad sweet, but the heat from the cumin kinda offset it a little bit. I had to slurp it to the very last drop because that’s where all the cumin ended up. Then, there’s the crêpe. I love crepes. And Crème has them, and theirs is so good! I ordered the seasonal special savory crêpe(breakfast sausage, sauteed mushroom, kale, fennel, and topped with a fried egg). I mean… so delicious! It had everything I wanted and needed to get me fueled up for our hike. Hubby had the breakfast sandwich(two scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, leeks, mushroom and your choice of meat). It looked good, but he wasn’t sharing, not even when I pulled the ‘I had to taste it so I can review it on Unilocal.’ Oh well, I will just have to order it when we go back. Finally, the service. I liked that I could see the chefs busy themselves in the kitchen. The place was starting to fill up, but the servers remained friendly and warm, and didn’t rush us out of there, even when we offered to get up before the check came, so that they can seat the people waiting. It just gave off this super relaxed, neighborly atmosphere. We got the feeling that we were regulars, despite the fact that it was our first time there. I liked that. I liked that a lot. I can’t wait to go back! Go give them a try!

I’ve been frequenting Crème since they were the itty-bitty-baby shop across the street. In that tiny location, you really had to time your arrival, otherwise there’d be nowhere to sit and the specials — which were in small, fresh batches every day — would be gone, never to grace your taste buds. Now that they’ve been in their larger, actual-restaurant-sized location for some time, I’ve returned more times than I can count on my hands. It’s about time to actually tell you, the lovely people of Unilocal, why you should be coming here just as often. The space is open, clean, inviting, and modern — but with a few adorable features that make it homey. Crooked chandelier lights, robin’s egg blue colors, and an open view to the kitchen keep it relaxed and not pretentious(which your sometimes run in to when dining in Midtown). Not to mention the entire room is bright and will lit from the giant windows at the front. Locally sourced ingredients top my list of things to bring up about this place. Not only does this mean supporting local businesses, but it also means fresh, seasonal menu items that rotate and change. You can get something new regularly here, and also have a few usual staples. Like the creamy polenta and egg! It’s been on the menu for ages and I can’t find a bowl of polenta with over easy eggs anywhere else. Today has been exceptionally… adorable, for lack of a better word. I’m with a friend with a pretty tame palate, and we have chai from Dreamers because last night was the type of night that called for a giant cup of chai. Talking about this place being a few doors down, my friend wanted to go. …but here we are with two freshly made beverages from somewhere else. I set them down on the ground, came inside to explain our predicament, and was warmly greeted and told to bring them in at once. NICE! We’re sitting here, drinking chai, watching other patrons sitting at the bar doing work on laptops(they plugged in the power cord behind the bar for the customer, too!), and eating amazing food. Oh, and I wanted to mix two entrées, and that was easy as pie. Why is that a saying, by the way? Perfect pie crusts are a pain. Butter and rolling and refrigeration and rolling… anyway, eat here.

Came here for breakfast during the Superbowl weekend, It was sort of busy, but we were seated in no time. The restaurant was very clean, from the outside you could tell that its a nice a cozy place. A server came up and took our drink order and gave us the menus. The menu was easy to read, but full of options. Our drinks come out. The french pressed coffee was great, it was so full of flavor. We then ordered, We first ordered the Beignets, Those things were to die for. They were so warm and fluffy and tasted so good.(Be sure to order some). My buddy ordered the sausage breakfast burrito, and it was huge. So huge he could only eat half of it. It was full to brim with eggs and sausage. My wife ordered the Englishmen Crêpe with Potatoes. She said the crêpe was full of flavor and the potatoes were some of the best she has ever had. I ordered the Chorizo breakfast tacos with hash browns. There were a total of 3 street style tacos. The chorizo mixed with the salsa on top of the eggs were amazing. The flavor was to die for. It did have a little kick to it, which made the taste so good. I could defiantly have eaten 3 more, but I was full, full enough that I didn’t get to eat my hash browns. After we finished our breakfast, we never say the server again. We could have used a little more to drink, since we ran out of coffee and water. We had to ask for our check, and when we wanted to pay we had to run down a server to take our money. Other then that, it was a great experience, and would definaltly come back again

I am so glad I was finally able to make it over to this place! My in-laws have been talking about it for months so I finally tagged along to see what all the hype was about. When we first walked in we were greeted and sat with in about 10 minutes which wasn’t bad at all considering it was busy in there and a Sunday morning at 9:30am. Right when we sat down there was a very friendly young lady who took our drink order, I ordered water but my family ordered coffee and what I really love about this place is they give you an entire pot of french press coffee! I have never seen another place that does this. The coffee smells amazing and it is so fresh. Next, I looked over the menu and of course everything looked amazing. In the meantime, the owner of the restaurant came over to say hello and chat with my in-laws. She is such a sweet lady and cares to much about this place, you can really tell! She brought us out a pastry basket first and OHMY, this was truly amazing. I have a bite of each thing inside and couldn’t complain about one. There was a cinnamon roll(to die for), a blueberry scone, a pound cake and one other item. All SOGOOD. We placed our order after that and I ended up getting the breakfast tacos which consisted of, chorizo, eggs, beans and a yummy salsa. I also got a side of hashbrowns but i heard the fresh fruit is worth getting. My meal was great, it came with three good sized tacos and i felt very full after! I definitely want to come back here again to try everything on the menu! Great cozy spot for breakfast with extremely friendly staff and amazing food! You don’t want to miss out!

Yes please! This place is a nice reminder that brunch is for lovers! The beignets may be hard to spell but got damn they are fabulous! Great streetside walk in right in the heart of new Midtown. Crepes is their thing, so I made my own filler… tiny black bean, chorizo(fried to patina crunchy), lightly blanched spinach, and mushrooms. Great combo, with french pressed coffee. Soft coffee house music, clean and friendly. Prices are acceptable.

This place was in an unnoticeable corner of a neighborhood street, very quiet and clean area of town outside of the casinos. The inside had a decent number of customers eating brunch. I made my own crêpe with chicken, breakfast sausage, chorizo, and egg. Fresh fruit on the side, including pineapples, watermelon, peach and strawberries. My boyfriend had the today’s special savory crêpe with potatoes on the side. We checked into the restaurant using my wonderful Unilocal app, and got a free order of beignets, which I really wanted my boyfriend to try even before discovering it would be free! The meal overall was very satisfying, and we liked the atmosphere. The hot green tea was a bit expensive but really helped my sore throat. It was a good brunch.

It is as if a «brunch bomb» was dropped on the Midtown area in Reno and exploded a few trendy brunch places for the person that can’t make up their mind about where to go for brunch. If you have a wishy washy person with you and you want brunch — go to this part of town. There is Pegs, Two Chicks, and… this place! If you love a crêpe then this is a stop not to miss. Most of the menu is crepes from savory to sweet. Traditional German crepes to daily special crepes loaded with fruit. There are also bakery items available — don’t miss the beignets. And if you need coffee, you will be served a French press. Enjoy! If you have a large group event, ask them about their private room. Bike parking right out front!

What a treat for breakfast or brunch. I’m a big fan of crepes and their savory and sweet selection is an excellent mix. On the last trip we sat outside so we could have our pooch with us.(They are dog friendly and even offered to bring out a bowl with water.(HUGE bonus points!) I ordered the Los Caballeros(3 crepes) for $ 9.99 —(Eggs, bacon, ham, black beans, and cheddar cheese.) and you always get your choice of fruit or salad. I also wanted to have a sweet finish and ordered the German for $ 6.99 —(Delicate crepes with lemon butter and powdered sugar) to share with the table. Their french press coffee is a must for only $ 3.00.(The hardest part is having to wait for the five minutes until you can depress the plunger and enjoy the coffee.) The service is friendly and attentive.(My water glass never ran out and we even ordered a 2nd french press.) For the quality, price, and service, Crème is truly a jewel in the Midtown area and worth the trip if you live in other areas of Reno.

Crème was the spot for brunch with my parents this past weekend. It’s another one of those places that’s been on my list of places to try for a long time. We were really happy to find that it wasn’t that busy, even with multiple events going on in town that day. Not realizing that they did not serve alcohol, we ordered a round of Bloody Mary’s. Our waitress, who I believe was the owner, said they don’t have a liquor license but was more than willing to run across the street, put an order in Reno Public House, and then bring them over. We declined, but she insisted, so we ordered a round. I was so surprised at her willingness and insistence to go out of her way to make sure that her customers have everything they want. Throughout our meal, she proved this again and again — customer service is top priority here. We ordered 2 orders of beignets(kind of like french doughnuts, sprinkled with powdered sugar). These were tasty and warm and nice to tide us over while we waited for the rest of our breakfast. I ordered the Englishman crêpe — ham, spinach and brie with potatoes that I topped with their house made salsa. I tried a bite of the Farmhouse crêpe and the pulled pork sandwich too. Everything was great and everyone raved about their food. You no longer order and pay at the cash register — they have printed menus and wait staff to take your order and run your card. Prices are really reasonable — everything is under $ 10. You can bring in your own alcohol too — so pop that bubbly and order a glass of orange juice for mimosas, or bring in a bottle of wine or beer from Wedge next door. If you opt the route of ordering from Reno Public House, just be aware that you have to go over there and pay them separately and they don’t open as early at Crème — so check their hours and plan accordingly! I can’t wait to come back and have some more of these delicious crepes!

I love how Reno is turning the«midtown» area into these hip hipster style cafes, restaurants and stores. This part of Reno has so much potential and I’m really happy to see that a creative, innovative group of entrepreneurs have decided to gentrify the neat old brick buildings and small cottage homes into new businesses. When a friend recommended we go to Crème Café for lunch on Sunday, I was excited to try one of the newer businesses. Larger than I thought from the outside, inside is clean and cozy, with wooden tables and chairs, a long coffee bar, a kitchen in the back, it offers a delicious French press coffee and a nice menu. Items are sweet or savory crepes, scrambled eggs with hash browns and toast, salads and sandwiches. We ordered the Ranchero crepes, scrambled eggs, black beans and cheddar cheese(although I said hold the cheese) with salsa and a side salad of wild field greens with a tasty strawberry vinaigrette. Also, the scrambled eggs platter with country potatoes and toast. The pot of chai-peppermint tea was also a nice choice upon the recommendation of our server. I’d definitely recommend Crème, a nice choice for lunch with friends. Bill for 3 plates, French press, 3 iced teas and pot of tea, $ 49. After, walk across the street to Natural Selection for some awesome oddities and fun terrarium fixings, or Never Ender, a cute boutique with accessories, clothing and art.

I tried Crème a few weeks ago for lunch. It was pretty quite, which surprised me as the food was really good. I thought the price for the food was spot on. The atmosphere is nice. It is clean and modern and very inviting. The service was okay, but didn’t seem to match the rest of the experience. I wasn’t sure where to order when we walked in. It felt like a sit down to order restaurant but actually has a counter where you order first. They have a nice room that could be used for events. This may come in handy in the future. The parking is what you expect if you head to midtown. I will definitely be back.

Crème has around for a few years now. But recently the business moved across the street. Nice move from the tiny house that had better outside seating then inside, to the larger building right a cross the street. Still simple docore because after all you’re there for the food. I really enjoy this space more, many more seating possibles, and less drafty in cool weather. Order at the counter when you walk in. The large menu boards are behind the cashier. Then find you seat and the food will be delivered to your table. Wonderful fresh food. Most breakfast dishes are serve crêpe style. They are just a little thick but have nice texture and flavor and are served with a choice of salad or fruit for a side. Bummer that I forgot about the great hash browns they and didn’t order any. The bowls of grits looked brimming and the shredded pork was almost falling out of the bowl. Great service– waters kept full and dirty dishes cleared right away The one thing I will miss the summer is the large shaded patio. Now the outside dinning will be along the sidewalk Enjoy the always great food

February 14, 2015 Saturday — 10:00AM breakfast 2 Adults Atmosphere — 5 stars Food — 5 stars Service — 5 stars Background — Breakfast before shopping. A full belly helps with this. Atmosphere — They are newly opened, across the street is their old location. They went from an old house to a modern feel in a complex which gives them more space. Food Drinks — Water for me and French press decaf coffee for my wife. Breakfast — Yes the menu is simple here, but my food was excellent. I ordered the Beast Sandwich with chorizo. I was surprised when she asked which meat I wanted as the menu board stated bacon. But chorizo sang to me as my choice. I am glad I made that choice as it complimented the rosemary potatoes. The heat in the chorizo was pleasant and not over powering. The egg sausage combo hung over the edges of the English muffin. I nibbled around my sandwich until I had a sandwich without anything hanging out. Then I started on the sandwich, the tomatoes went well with it. The sandwich is simple, but well done. Service — The register is right there when you walk in. Hint hint you order and pay there. They hand you a number to put on your table and you find your spot to sit. Ding ding the bell goes, and the waitress hustles and brings the food to you. Future — yes.
