Great place and very good crepes. I happened to come in behind a large group and there was only one guy working. He made my crêpe before starting all theirs. I was so grateful since I was alone and their order took a while. Fruit was fresh and perfectly ripe Can’t wait to go back

Food wasn’t anything special. Service was just ok. Tried a couple things with my wife when we went and weren’t that impressed. Haven’t been back since

Great neighborhood place to grab a quick dessert. My go to is the American Favorite crêpe or the Rocky Road crêpe. Ask for a punchcard and bring it each time you go, I find that they don’t offer to punch it unless you mention it.

I found this little gem after my waitress at a local restaurant brushed me off for dessert and I am glad she did, this was a nice and different treat. This was a nice alternative to the usual ice cream or frozen yogurt places that are now a dime a dozen. This is a small place tucked in a shopping center off of McCarran Blvd. I almost kept driving thinking that they were closed because I didn’t see anyone inside. When I went in, there was only 1 lady working. After looking at the menu and pics, I ultimately decided on ordering the ‘American Favorite’ which has nutella, strawberries, bananas, whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. I also ordered the Banana Crunch which obviously has bananas, as well as butterfinger, caramel as well as vanilla ice cream. Bothe crepes were cooked perfectly, not burned or overdone. The crepes themselves weren’t particularly sweet, unless you added the toppings. I should also note that the crepes here are served rolled in shape of a cone, a little different from some other creperies. I really enjoyed the flavors of both, and there is no way to single out which one was better. It just really depends on what you are craving. That day I think I was leaning more towards the strawberry and chocolate, but I am a huge fan of butterfinger. If I wasn’t already full from dinner earlier, I would have like to have tried their savory crepes. I would definitely recommend this place, especially if you are burnt out on all of the other run of the mill dessert options around. Customer service was quick and to the point and the place was really clean inside.

Hands down the best Crêpe place i’ve been to in Reno. I love how they put ice cream inside and it’s very affordable.

This is a nice alternative to a sea of chain restaurants and fast food locations in this particular area of town. They specialize in Japanese style crepes, both savory and sweet options. I ordered the Italian favorite with spinach, mozzarella, chicken with basil pesto. It was so light and fluffy and fresh tasting. All organic vegetables and served in a hand held«cone». It So light and Delicious, Yet still very filling. I’m in agreement with other reviewers on the one employee who was great, and the time it takes. I don’t mind waiting for fresh made food but there were a couple of groups ahead of me and the one employee makes one crêpe at a time. This place has huge potential with an increase in staff and a little effort to add to the atmosphere. I will be back to try more when I have time to wait in line.

The crêpe was standard. I like the variety in the menu, and the portion size, but it just isn’t tasty? Is that a valid descriptive comment? The food just wasn’t tasty. I have ordered the Japanese Favorite(dessert), the Smoked Salmon(savory), the Nutella, and the Ham and Cheese. All on par of what a crêpe should look like, but my tongue was bored about half-way finishing the crêpe. I also think it has to do with the crêpe being stone cold at arrival. It makes the crêpe a bit flabby texture. The green tea ice cream in the Japanese favorite tasted bland as well. For the Smoked Salmon — I just wasn’t sold on the combination of the smoked salmon and artichoke cream cheese. I want to say, it needs salt? Even the sauces they have were so-so that they charge for. The crêpe-maker/cashier is very nice, and noticed that she kept the kitchen area very clean which is nice. Seating in the restaurant can be a bit uncomfortable with no cushion or background music playing. I did enjoy that they have water cups and a water cooler next to the utensils. I like that they do have a gluten-free crêpe batter, green tea crêpe batter, and even chocolate batter. Although I’ve yet to try any of them, its nice to have so many options. .

We love the food here, and all the options, but dear God, please hire some more people. If there’s just one other person at the place you WILL wait at least a combined 25 minutes, between waiting for the only person there to take your order and then make it. One time when we came there were two girls working, and one just stood texting/Facebooking while the other stood watching the crepes. The absolute shortest I’ve ever waited was 15 minutes and that’s when I was the only person there. The longest, from walking in the door to getting food? An hour. For a crêpe. I almost want to go back there and make the thing myself, and take all the orders too. I think I’d be a helluva lot faster, and certainly more attentive.

I’m so glad I found the best place to grab something quick, healthy & yummy while I’m running errands in the area. I create my own crêpe and I’ve tried the gluten free and vegan buckwheat options as well. Whether you’re in the mood for something sweet or savory, this will not break the bank or tip the caloric scale.

Found«Crêpe N Roll» on Unilocal while visiting from out of town. They serve up Japanese style crepes… what’s that you ask? Well, they are a slightly less sweet version of the French crepes you might be used to(talking about the crepes and not the filling). They are also rolled-up into a cone shape, wrapped in paper and meant to be eaten without utensils. In Japan, they are served by street vendors. I started with the«Morning Special»(bacon, egg & cheese). It was a great savory start to the day and just the right amount to leave room for a sweet crêpe to round out the meal. I then ordered the” Banana Crunch”(banana, Butterfinger, caramel sauce & vanilla ice cream). I thought it might end up being over-the-top sweet but it was actually quite good. The warm crêpe added a nice contrast in both temperature and texture to the cold and smooth ice cream and crunchy Butterfinger topping. The venue itself could use a little improvement with its mostly bare white walls and lack of music to enjoy while dining-in. Overall, it was very good.

I ordered the #1 it was 7 dollars after tax. And really not worth it. The customer service was not good at all. The crepes at the harrahs buffet are much better.

I’ve come to this place many times and the food never fails to disappoint me. However, the biggest problem about this place is the ownership. The owner refuses to hire more than one worker so whenever it gets busy it takes forever to get your food because there is only ONEPERSONWORKING. The owner also refuses to allow the worker to turn on the AC so when one person is running around making 5 – 8 crepes within 15 – 20 minutes, I’m sure he/she will start feeling the heat. Overall I am satisfied with the food and the service that the worker gives, but I am slightly irritated and disappointed with how the employer treats the employee.

You should definitely get sweet crepes over the savory ones. This review is for the savory crepes. It tasted quite bland and the crêpe got nasty towards eating half way. They also had no ketchup for the breakfast crêpe. the egg and cheese had little to no seasoning and had no sauce to pull it all together. It was not good. I Recommend that you get ANY of the sweet crepes. Do not get the savory crepes. Look away.

Yeaaayy japanese crêpe in town, can’t believe it. So i had a ham & cheese with mozarella cheese(your option) with spicy mayo(not spicy for me) and my husband had the cheesy veggie crêpe with turkey mix cheesy(jack, mozarella and cheddar) with buckwheat batter instead flour. For the sweet crêpe, ordered Harajuku(strawberry icecream, small pieces of cheesecake bites, strawberry fruit, and strawberry sauce). The taste were so good, the batter itself made the crepes very good . This place is kinda small place with few chairs, tables and the girls were friendly too, service was good, and fast.

August 28, 2014 Tuesday — 6PM dinner 2 adults Atmosphere — 4 stars Food — 4 stars Service — 5 stars Background — Bought an Amazon Local deal. I look at it going oh yeah plenty of time to use it. Next thing you know you have less than week to get the full value out of it. Yes clearly I am a procrastinator. Atmosphere — Small spot inside a strip mall. We were the only ones in there so that was kinda strange. Okay the cashier/cook was there too. Food Drink — I skipped it as nothing caught my eye. Main course — I had the BLT savory crêpe. The crêpe is shaped into the cone, so it can be held by one hand and eaten. I guess I would have liked a plate so I did not need to hold it the entire. Pictures outside of the place shows device to hold them for you. It does not take long to eat, just for convenience as I did stay in the restaurant. The crêpe itself was good. I like my bacon well done, but of course the serve it a little more flexible so it does not rip apart the crêpe. The spicy mayo could have been hotter as I did not have any heat to it. Maybe next time I will ask for Tabasco to be added. My wife’s main course — She had the chessy veggie with chicken added. She commented in the beginning where was the chicken. It was all in the base of the cone, so it took a little time to get there. I did not have that issue as she had already eaten the top off of it for me. I enjoyed the texture differences between the soft crêpe and crisp greens in the cone. Dessert — We shared a Rocky Road. They asked if we wanted it on a plate as we were sharing this one from the start. I enjoyed it. My wife would have liked the marshmallows melted. But they are not in the ice cream either. The crêpe was filled with marshmallows and whipped cream and sprinkled with almond slices. Along with the crêpe was a scope of chocolate ice cream. We asked about the crêpe batter to see if they use a different recipe for the savory and sweet. They use the same, strange how the crêpe is the same but taste different based on the toppings. Service — They had one lady working as the cashier and the cook, which was it for the staff. She was friendly and answered all of our questions. I really hope this is more a lunch crowd for this place. The entire time we were there no one else came in. Future — Yeah I have a punch card now!

My hubby bought a groupon for this restaurant because we thought it looked really interesting. They have both sweet and savory crepes. We went for dinner so we each ordered savory and then a sweet to share. I had the Cheesy Veggie with Chicken. It was an original batter crêpe filled with chicken, spinach, spring mix, I got mixed cheese and spicy mayo. It comes to you all neatly wrapped in a cone. It was very tasty! The crêpe tasted like a really nice bread. For dessert we shared a Rocky Road Crêpe. It was stuffed with marshmallow, drizzled with chocolate, sprinkled with almonds and served with chocolate ice cream. The crêpe was really good; however, the chocolate ice cream was fabulous! The crepes were an awesome twist on a sandwich and dessert. I would definitely try them again.

Japanese crepes. Wait, what? I thought crepes were something fancy you find in a French restaurant, however, crepes are also street food with French creperies serving the same function as hot dog stands or food trucks. In Japan, a single creperie in the Harajuku district of Tokyo(circa 1977) spawned dozens of shops now frequented by tourists and locals alike. But what is a Japanese-style crêpe? Actually, they’re pretty similar to the French tradition, though the Japanese version usually includes a lot less butter and the fillings are often fresh, raw, or cured. Crepes can be sweet or savory, or combinations of both. Sweet crepes feature sauces, syrups, fruits, nuts, ice cream, whipped cream, and so on. Savory crepes include veggies, meats, cheeses, sauces, etc. Various batters can be used, though Crêpe n’ Roll has settled on original style, buckwheat, green tea, and chocolate(gluten-free versions also available). You can choose from a variety of menu items, or select ingredients from a list and build your own. Prices range from $ 4.25 to $ 7.00, and they make for a fairly filling, affordable meal. Having ordered, you then watch as the chef carefully spreads batter onto the crêpe iron, a round, flat cooking surface akin to a sideless skillet. A specialized tool known as a batter spreader is used to do exactly what the name implies, reminiscent of something used to smooth pavement. Ingredients are then added as the crêpe cooks, then the whole thing is deftly separated from the iron with a long, thin spatula that could easily be mistaken for a paint stirrer. This process results in an extremely fresh product that is then rolled loosely and placed in a paper cone before being served. While initially entertaining to watch, the wait does tend to drag on a lot for something that competes directly with wraps and sandwiches(both of which are produced much faster). Although crepes do require more time and skill, the bottleneck at Crêpe n’ Roll is that everything is done by a single employee. In an otherwise empty shop on a Thursday evening, a young couple ahead of us ordered a crêpe each, then my wife and I ordered three savory crepes in order to try some variety. The chef produced each crêpe individually in series, which meant it took more than half an hour before we were served. We then ordered a pair of sweet crepes, which were still in progress when we’d finished the first three. On weekends they have two chefs on hand, but if they’re serving more than a couple people you can expect to wait a while. I ordered the Italian Favorite(basil pesto, spinach, mozzarella, chicken) and the Ham and Cheese(ham, cheddar, spring mix, spicy mayo), whereas my wife built her own(feta, spring mix, avocado, turkey, spicy mayo). I expected a lot more zing from the«Italian», but it just wasn’t there, and my other wrap was also pretty bland. However, my wife’s wrap was really tasty so perhaps it’s best to use some imagination and build your own concoction. For dessert my wife chose the Harajuku(chocolate batter, strawberries, cheesecake, strawberry sauce, strawberry ice cream), and it was absolutely delicious. I went with the Japanese Favorite(green tea batter, azuki bean, whipped cream, green tea ice cream, pocky sticks), which I unfortunately did not love. At least now I know that sweetened, mashed bean paste isn’t something I enjoy in a dessert. Perhaps it’s an acquired taste. The décor is spartan yet clean, there are a variety of teas, juices, and coffee drinks available, and the server/chef/cashier was friendly and helpful. Crêpe n’ Roll has been open for less than a year, so perhaps with more experience they’ll find their rhythm and pick up the tempo.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile, but I hadn’t been in the area until today, when I was killing some time after my dentist appointment. They have a chalkboard menu with offerings of sweet and savory crepes with a choice of specialty combos or make your own options. They also provide Intelligentsia coffee and teas. The gal behind the counter was very helpful in explaining the menu options with me. I decided to try the original crêpe with tuna salad and spicy mayo, accompanied with matcha sweet milk tea. I hadn’t scanned the full board before ordering, so I didn’t realize there were three options for the crêpe(original, green tea, or chocolate). For a first visit, I was ok with getting the original. The wait for the food wasn’t long at all, and it was wrapped beautifully and cleverly served in a paper cone. The tea was so delicious, and worked very well as a beverage and dessert in one! I love green tea, and the flavor hit the spot for me. I wanted to take in more of the restaurant to share in the review, but I realized while I was sitting there that I actually had another appointment to get to, so I had to rush out. I was soon wondering if I was going to be able to finish my crêpe on the go without making a mess of it… and mission accomplished, I was able to eat without any messy challenges, and every bite was scrumptious. I hope I can make my way in the neighborhood again, and maybe this time, try their sweet crepes and coffee.

Love this place for a light inexpensive meal! They serve Japanese style crepes which is very cool because that is not something you find just everywhere! I usually go with the american(BLT) but you can build your own and the menu is very expansive. My husband and son always go with the sweet and they love the blueberry cheesecake! They have many Japanese ice creams as well, that are all very good! They do have a few kinks to work out. There is very little atmosphere while I know they are going for the minimalist and simplistic look, it comes off as stark. The service while super friendly is usually very slow. Most of the time only one person is working and if you go in with 3 people they make them one at a time instead of utilizing both crêpe makers by multitasking. I have visited over 5 times and have had to wait 5 – 10 minutes so do not go if you are in a hurry. The food is very light and very reasonable, all three of us can visit and because we all are water drinkers you can go home satisfied and well fed for under 15.00! Definitely give it a try, just do not be in a hurry.
