Favorite coffee shop in Reno. The ambiance is lovey, the owner is very friendly and involved in her business and the food is killer. My favorites are the following: Coffee: Medici Food: Brie prosciutto sandwich Dessert: chocolate bomb Pastries: almond croissant*

I’ve liked everything I’ve had here from cookies to quiche to coffee. The staff are friendly, efficient and will make suggestions. They are pretty quick considering the craft they put into their drinks. I rave about the yogurt parfait I got here a while back. It’s a generous helping of yogurt with fresh granola, some fresh fruit and some brown sugar. Very good stuff, you could easily make a meal of it. Today I’m having an iced 4-shot Americano with a shot of almond syrup. I think I’ll be awake for days. This coffee house has one of the best bathrooms I’ve ever seen. There is an old car hood hanging from the ceiling that is a light. How awesome is that. This is a fabulous place, parking can be tricky though. I usually stop in when I’m nearby and have parked somewhere else.

This place is capital T Terrific!!! My sons basketball team went to some crap hole mexis joint around the corner and I wasn’t having it. Instead I had a fantastic wedge salad with primo jalapeño buttermilk dressing. A perfect iced chai and cherry crème brûlée… My only complaint is that I have nothing to complain about and I love complaining… ;-) My mom also loved her salad and I got my son a ham wrap that looks delicious for later. He is over at the crap restaurant eating chips and salsa so he can bond with his team. We will be back. Thanks Homage!

Now, I have to admit that I’ve only been to this place one time. But on my first visit I and my three-year-old were greeted warmly and treated kindly. I had the short breve and she had the small milk. She had the Ranger cookie which had almonds, coconut, and chocolate chips. The outside area with the red umbrellas was like a small calm oasis down in the heart of the city of Reno. :-)

Homage is located on Ralston in an old house. Inside there are 3 rooms with an eclectic variety of seating options — tables, a few club chairs and a sofa. Outside has bistro seating, patio tables and a picnic table. They pull espresso in double shots so my 3 shot order is actually four. Good deal!!! I’m a fake sugar kinda gal they don’t have any so I usually bring some in my purse. I have a love/hate relationship with their baked goods. I love them I really do. Croissants to cheese Danish-like thing to peanut butter pie are some of my favorites. I hate that if I went to Homage on a daily basis I would not be able to say no to their treats. They’re a bit spendy but it’s quality!!! So Homage is and will remain my special occasion coffee house. What was today’s occasion: It’s WEDNESDAY!!!

Know before you go: NOWIFI on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. Why? No idea — but as much as I’d like to have coffee or lunch without working, I won’t be able to be back here often without it. I’ve been here three times now for coffee and croissants(the savory flavors) — always good, but slightly pricey for Reno. Always really friendly staff, & cute little place overall.

Smooth as silk Americano and seriously one of the most delicious cookies I’ve ever eaten!(Almond Roca) Love the ambience of this place and it’s a great place for a relaxing coffee and treat. That being said, the several times I’ve been in, it’s been a pretty slow ordering process. If there are a few people ahead of you in line, expect to wait a bit(as opposed to most other coffee shops in town). But, if you’re ok waiting a bit for a great coffee shop experience, definitely a place to check out!

Pretentious little place which serves mediocre pastries. I have tried their latte and it was very good and 2 stars for that. I have searched coffee places with Wi-Fi access in Reno and this place came up in the top of the Unilocal list. After I paid for the coffee, I asked if they had the wi-fi and the Barista said they provide wifi only from M-Th. Unfortunately it was a Friday and I had some plans to catch up on some work. They were not willing to turn the wifi on and the reason being people hogs the tables and they don’t leave. What I have noticed was at 8:30 am on a Friday, this place was only 20% full– No wonder. Me being from the bay area and used to the luxuries of working from coffee shop found this strange and ridiculous. Don’t they know we are in 2016 and not in the 90’s where internet is a necessity rather than luxury? This was a big turn off for me and also Unilocal should correct this establishment’s wifi policy which is quite misleading. I should have gone to Starbucks rather than waste my time in this joint. Sub par pastries, No Wifi, average customer service and steep prices. Only saving grace here is the coffee which I can get the same quality in a Peet’s or Seattle Coffee.

GOOD food but EXPENSIVE! I ordered a malted mocha from the menu which said $ 4.00 and the cashier charged me $ 4.50! I said to him, «it’s says Malted Milk Mocha — $ 4.00 right here on the menu» then he said, «well I can take the malt off» and I said«no, the malt is why I want it». URG! I know it’s only .50 cents, but it irked me right from the start and for being a first time customer. Also, the size of the mocha was tiny too, maybe only 10 oz. Then I ordered the Greek Wrap, which was VERY good and I really liked the salad and dressing it came with. The downside was that the wrap was pretty small as well for $ 9.00. All in all my total for a wrap and mocha was $ 15.50 — kind of crazy considering I could have bought a wrap anywhere else for a lot less. However — the spinach tortilla was extremely fresh and quite spinach-y, probably the best spinach tortilla I have ever had. The food they serve tasted healthy with high quality ingredients, so I am a fan of that. Next time I will just order food and not a fancy coffee drink :(

My wife suggested coming in instead of Starbucks and I must say that I am happy that we did. This was my first time here, so I had no idea what to expect. Out front there were a couple of tables I. The patio. I am told that they used to, and maybe still do, set up tables in the grass area. Some people liked the grass area as it gave them a place to bring their dogs with them and give them a place to rest while their owners enjoyed their drink and pastry. Emily ordered a coffee and white chocolate macadamia cookie, a favorite of hers, and I ordered a mocha and pastrami and pepper jack cheese croissant. Emily indicated that the medium roast coffee had good flavor, she hadn’t tried the cookie while I was writing this. My mocha was bold, creamy and had a great presentation. The croissant had to be warmed up in the microwave for a few seconds, but it was still tasty. This isn’t a place to come when hungry, but if you want some coffee or an espresso and a pastry this is a great place. It’s a bit out of our area, but I could see us returning if we have something to do in the area

Absolutely amazing!!! Love, Love, love this place!!! From the moment you open the door, the smell of freshly baked pastries and coffee is all you need to make your day a better one. They have the best coffee selection in town. Food was outstanding. We had the Black Forrest Ham & the French Dip. Both were delicious. Beautiful food presentation. Perfect portions. Fresh ingredients. They have outdoor seating for those sunny days. Can’t wait to go back !!! Locally owned businesses build strong communities, Thank You Homage Bakery!

This place has been bookmarked on my list FOREVAH. And what finally got my butt here was a book club meeting; «management» was kind enough to set aside a quiet back room for our little group to discuss our book passionately. We were all fueled by our Homage coffee drinks and various pastries, so poor Atticus and Jean Louise Finch in Go Set A Watchman sure got raked over the coals since we all had a little extra sugar and caffeine in our bods. I thoroughly enjoyed my croissant, which is as close to a croissant as I’ve had in Paris that I can remember. I chose the one with broccoli and Gouda. Oh my lawdy, in the parlance of the book we were reading that took place in the deep South. And the lemonade? Sugar, it was divine!

I was sad that I only had 1 chance to visit this bakery and that that visit was to be a brief coffee break. However, that visit gave me the opportunity to eat a Kitsilano cookie and WHYDID I NOTBUY A DOZENMORE? That cookie — an oatmeal delight studded with sunflower and flax seeds, millet, dried cherries and chocolate — was a literal homage to my hometown, Vancouver, and as such, it was destiny for me to visit Homage and partake of the deliciousness that is the Kitsilano cookie(and reminisce about the Kitsilano neighborhood in Vancouver, one of the trendiest areas in the city). My accompanying cappuccino was smooth and a perfect complement to the Kitsilano cookie. The cute young clerk who took my order was affable and amused by my personal connection to the Kits cookie. :) Homage is found in a little house with an inviting porch, with plenty of seating on the lovely front yard, which is where I sat. I am literally salivating while typing this review; I enjoyed that cookie THATMUCH. In any case, this bakery is a fantastic local spot that serves great baked goods(if my cookie is any indication) and coffee. I will visit again the next time I am in Reno and either buy a few dozen cookies or beg the recipe from the proprietor!

Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras Masquerade Party for Reno Bites Week That is what brought me out. No, not the chance to earn some beads… but the change to chow down on some of the best bites in the business. And I was definitely not disappointed. The Savory Bites Voodoo Eggs Muffuletta Cheesecake * Black Eyed Pea Salad Maque Choux * Pontchartrain Green Bean Casserole Pulled Pork & Biscuit Étouffée Creole Jambalaya Oysters Rockefeller Crab Cakes w Remoulade * Sweet Bites Abita Float Mudbugs Pralines King Cupcake Bread Pudding Red Velvet Brownie * Banana Fosters Cups Southern Pecan Pie Beignets That was the listed Menu… I didn’t make it through all the sweets that night. I took just a few home. If you see a star… those are the items that were sooooo good I shudder and drool almost a week later. For $ 50 we got all that above plus a few included wines or beers. So next time you see a special event put on at the Homage house… don’t dismiss it as «just a bakery». I gay-ron-tee you will enjoy the meal you have there no matter what they put in front of you. Service at these events is good too. It’s not overly fawning or crazy white glove, but good friendly people trying to get the amazing food to you as quickly as possible. For a more everyday experience review… see my previous one. But I will add. For funky different high end coffee«experiences» Homage is tops in my book. Using salt, citrus and spices to make unique creations you will yearn for days after.(or even weeks) P. S. My brain just melted. I ate one of the leftover Pecan Pies. I’m…nearly…speechless…

This review is for Homage’s MardiGras night during Reno Bites Week Nicholle does a fabulous job at sweets. I love her lemon bars and especially the chocolate bomb. But if you think she can only do sweet, you are incredibly wrong! Her savory skills are the bomb. Last night with her special event for RBW proved it. Eleven fabulous savory bites were delivered one by one to all the tables as the jazz band played from the porch. It was an exceptional warm fall evening. The wine was flowing and everyone was having a great time. The savory bites included– voodoo eggs, muffuletta cheesecake(my favorite), maque choux, hush puppies(Robert ‘s favorite), pulled pork and dirty slaw with the cutest biscuit, and crab cakes. There were eleven fabulous savory dishes– check out the pictures. Also 10 sweet treats to top off the night. Thanks so much to Nicholle for sharing her talents and bakery for the night. And to Natasha and Clint for creating Teno Bites Week.

Roast beef horseradish stuffed croissant. Need I say more? Really? From savory to the sweet, along with specialty coffees and teas, in a cute little house with a variety of seating, eye catching décor, patio, and lawn café tables, this is definitely one of Reno’s finest treasures. Nicholle and her staff offer friendly service and personal touches that will keep me coming back whether I’m having a morning date with my man, an after hike pick me up, or a meeting with other moms. The lawn with umbrella covered tables makes for a great area for a special pop up, or a casual seat to people watch. Free wifi is available if you need to catch up on some work or project while sipping or nibbling. Be sure to check out the chalkboard for specials and order your pies early for the holidays! Nicholle’s talents are worth every penny!

Never know that there’s a hidden little place in downtown Reno has very good pastries. I love pastries. So finally I got to check this place. I ordered the ham & cheese croissant with malted mocha. My husband ordered the wedge salad. My croissant was so good and buttery and cheesey. The mocha was yummy too, wasn’t too sweet and the flavor was just balance. I think this is the best malted mocha so far from Reno that I’ve ever tried. My husband’s food was excellent. He said the dressing was delightful, the romaine, the corn, edamame were fresh! Then we ordered to go a lemon bars and the chocolate bombe. The lemon bars was excellent and incredible taste. My husband had a tonguegasm. The chocolate Bombe was so rich and creamy. But it wasn’t my favorite not because it’s not good but it just not my thing, it just too rich and very thick chocolate for my taste. We sat outside in the patio enjoyed the breeze since it was a beautiful day outside. This place is really homey. Parking could be a little hard here, time to do for parallel parking.

Heading down Ralston, one could easily miss this house. It’s a beautiful white older home turned business. The smell of coffee and fresh baked pastries fills the air as I lean my bike on a pole. Past the outdoor tables with umbrellas and under the twinkling outdoor lights, I make my way to the stairs. Up and in I go! The lunch menu is written on a chalk board near the front door. Local artists are featured on the walls of this old home. A desk hanging from a ceiling corner and other interesting things to look at. I let the smells guide me to the counter. Oh boy! Pastries, pastries, pastries, my pupils dilate. I’ll have an almond roca cookie and a cappuccino oh and an equinox cookie. Neither disappoints! I’ve now been to Homage several times. I’ve tried their toddy(cold pressed coffee) and a slice of raspberry cheesecake too. I enjoy every stop in to this shop. Whether you are looking for a pastry, a dessert, or some delicious liquid pick me up, Homage has it all.

Homage never disappoints. They have a menu that offers a wide variety of drinks, food, and snacks and everything is well priced. I love stopping by and trying a new coffee drink each time. Everything is made fresh to order and the employees are all kind and helpful. Their small pastries in their window display get me every time. I’ve tried their lemon posset and their cheesecakes and I have loved both! Homage is inside a house and it has been decorated nicely with unique rooms to sit in. Also if the weather is nice, enjoy a drink in their yard space out front! Definitely try homage bakery if you haven’t yet — you won’t regret it.

What a hidden GEM! This place is snuggled into Reno! It’s an old home that has redesigned to accommodate this great little business. They have something for everyone! Vegetarian, Vegan … Just about any kind of «-arian». You could think of … They can accommodate. This place does pastries, sandwiches, wraps, scones, beer, wine… And best of all coffee! Awesome awesome! The staff here is so knowledgeable on the ins and outs of the food and beverages that every question I had was answered. The cappuccino was to die for … And the espresso was just the same. They use all fresh ingredients and are always looking to do new things with flavor combinations! These guys do a ton to support our community and the neighboring community… So take my word for it… You’ll love it! I can’t wait to come back and sit on the covered porch or patio to see what the gang has come up with next! I will be BACK!
