D and L Electric, Inc

It’s hard to find someone honest, who knows their trade, goes above-​and-​beyond, and can come out the same day!
Called D & L to check a 220 outlet to make sure it was getting the proper power, and that’s exactly what happened! Don came out the day I called, knew what he was doing, explained to this novice what was going on, AND took care of and explained some light fixture quirkiness that one experiences when they buy a new home.
It was great to actually have someone not afraid to explain what they are doing to those who aren’t as well versed especially with something like electricity.
Finally…Don’s a veteran, and I was honored that he shared some of his stories. I hope I don’t have to call him for an emergency, but if I need an electrician… I am calling D & L!

We used Don from D & L electric today to help us out with installing switches for our security lighting. Don was outstanding, he was on time, very pleasant, and he even helped us out with wiring for a ceiling fan that we didn’t call him for. His prices were extremely reasonable, and again he was a real pleasure to work with and did more than we called him out to do. I will use him again and recommend Don very highly!!!

Second review– 11÷22÷14. Don came out and corrected much shoddy CL style work. Shame on me for stooping that low, but some time you got to do what you got to do. He replaced switches and outlets, problem solved lots of hard to get to wiring and made my place safe and sound. Hire Don, just try to give him a little lead time to make it to your job.

I got a bid from Don at D&L Electric to move some outlets. The bid was billed out for four hours of time. When Don came to actually do the job, he was one hour late to start off. I asked him how much time the job would take, and he said about one hour. I told him the original bid was bid out for four hours, so he would need let me know the actual price of the job. Don would not back down from the four hour charge for a one hour job. Then told me he could charge me hourly, but didn’t know how much time it would take. He never settled on a price or time. I told him no thanks and sent him away. What a scam!

Don is an excellent electrician with a lot of experience. He wired my hot tub for 230v (it can also run on 115v). Before the job started, he explained exactly why he needed to do it a certain way and pointed out several measures done with my safety in mind.
At one point, I suggested an approach and he said he wasn’t comfortable with my idea and explained the safety reasons he didn’t like it. Personally, that’s what I want from an electrician. Save me from my own folly!
He even went out of his way to brainstorm with me about less expensive alternatives, but together we decided that the best value was to do the 230v connection.
A+ Don, thank you again.

Got an electric cook top, needed a 50 amp connection. Don did an excellent job, at a fair price… what else you want.
Friendly, good price and knew what he was doing… don’t think twice when looking for as qualified electrician!
