Nice bartender’s an great atmosphere, only been on two week nights but sounds fun…

DILLIGAS stands for Does It Look Like I Give a F ck? Let’s just put it out there and not beat around the bush. It is a swinger’s bar. What does that mean? It means any number of things. You can go there to have sex with your partner exclusively, switch partners or do multiple people or sit and watch others have sex with your partner. I don’t know if its kosher to go and sit there by yourself and jerk off, but I’m not about to ask anyone. I’m sure it’s accepted to have a woman sit there by herself and jerk off. There is a back room that provides you with more «privacy.» There are multiple couches, so by privacy I mean privacy from people at the bar. it’s not like you can just go in by yourself, plop yourself down and just watch and take photos.
Several years ago, I tried to go here with a male buddy on a Friday or Saturday night, and they wouldn’t let us in. You had to go with someone of the opposite sex. They have relaxed that rule. I can only imagine, quite of number of dudes will come here either to see women in various stages of undress or having sex. You can’t blame us dudes. Half the time we’re thinking about sex or any number of manifestations and requisites for sex like how can I make more money and drive a nicer car … to get more sex, or any sex for that matter. You could argue in fact that men think of nothing but sex and its requisites. Politics, religion, science, art, all about attracting women to get sex. Can you imagine how many women hit on Einstein? «Is it true about big brains?» Anyhow, back to Dilligas. Allowing single dudes by themselves may also be a function of what I call the Great Hottie Recession. Let’s not beat around the bush. The Great Recession not only killed Reno nightlife, but half the hotties left Reno and the other half just don’t go out as much. It’s has become Sausagetown in Reno. It didn’t happen right after the crash. Many people still had savings and used their credit cards and many college students still got big allowances from their parents. There is a delay effect and I think 2013 was the bottom. What I’m getting at here is that I can only imagine Dilligas had much more hotties than it has today. In fact, going there on Friday, there were five women, older, bigger. Let’s just say the place looked middle-​aged. It’s a nice place and the people are nice enough and you can have fun, and two people did hook up there, but let’s not get too excited here. It’s not the wild place it may have been before. The exception are special events. Someone told me there were about 25 people on Valentine’s Day and people were doing the dirty and sharing partners. So there, it happens. But four stars? Please. Not these days.

Dropped in while in town for the Spring Rally in Sparks — decided to the 4^th Street dive bar trip down to Reno. I enjoyed it was nice and dark, friendly family owned, good stiff drinks, bath rooms were super clean. around 9ish the baseball game was switched to some great XXX porn. and then we were invited to stay for the private swinger party. I checked out the faire and decided maybe next time. but overall, great little place, although I think the name should have been DILLIGAF or NIDGAF instead of DILLIGAS. I will be back.

We enjoy Dilligas Saloon very much. It’s a very laid back neighboorhood type bar, that offers cheap drinks and a kick ass grill featuring typical bar fare. They have a great jukebox, pool table, several electronic dart boards, pinball and a small dance floor with a stripper pole. They have video gaming and a private parking lot under video surveillance. There is a seperate smoking room that keeps the bar smoke free. The scene changes on weekends however, when they close their doors and cater to lifestylers (swingers) both couples and singles. Having been there on some weekends, it’s still much more laid back than some might think. Except for the adult videos playing on the tvs, you might not even know you were surrounded by swingers. In fact, many who go on the weekends are not in the swing lifestyle at all, but just want to inject a bit of risqué‘ in their life and enjoy the discounted drinks that the small cover charge provides. Of course if you choose to take part in any type of adult play, they have a large playroom seperated from the bar as well. In all, a fun place just a mile east of the downtown «strip».

A buddy and I dropped in here after just getting sick of sitting at Diamond’s Casino oblivious to the fact that during the night/​weekend it converts into some kind of swinger bar. It was daytime and we were doing the daylight Reno drunk-​a-​thon down E. 4^th (not recommended for the squeamish). It made a nice little stop at this particular day — the one little noteworthy establishment along a route not meant for grandma or the kiddies (except my grandma who was a ciggie smoking vodka chuggin’ lush drunk).
