This city sucks so much for gay night life! This nasty looking venue is closed down. It is embarrassing! I feel so bad for the LGBT community here in Reno. This city is so bad that I downloaded the Unilocal app just to post this review! Go back to your homes knowing that you at least have an upstanding community to be a past of. Crappy desert hole-in-the-wall: 1, gay community zero!

Gross. I had a drunk 17 year old asking me where to buy Molly from. I thought it might have been a anomaly, but that appears to be the general crowd that sleazes there. If you want to go out in the LGBT community, then I suggest you save your money and go to 5 Star Saloon downtown on West St. The crowd is always unattractive, overweight, lesbian-heavy, and dramatic.

An expensive cover for a mostly empty place on a weekend… weird.

There was some seriously ratchet shit that went down when I went, not that it wasn’t entertaining. This isn’t a classy or upscale club. No one cares about your designer shoes or newly waxed eyebrows because they’re too busy letting themselves go. Though it’s listed as a gay club here, there are plenty of straight people who go.

I was soooo apprehensive about coming here because I’d never been to a club at all before but it was so much fun! It was such a great time. The bartender(Vonnie? Bonnie?) was fabulous and really easy to talk too. I would definitely come back :)

I was there about a year ago for the first time for my birthday, When first arrived I thought for sure we were in the wrong place the place looked like shit on the outside and even worst on the inside. Decided to stay and have a few drinks how bad could it be if I was drunk? Nope that didn’t help, as the teeny boppers marched in one by one, I knew my night was only going to get worse. I was aggressively humped and manhandled by a woman(not saying that was there fault). The youngins were louder than the music and the drinks were clearly not strong enough. The music was horrible, the dance floor is tiny and the bathrooms were disgusting. If I had known that it was a 18+ club I would have stayed clear of that place. Left after a hour.

This place was ok. Music is good, drinks are really cheap, kind of waterd down. Staff was nice, big dance floor. I went a few times and the place was half full. A lot of tourists come to this place but all in all very friendly people. Id go again. It just looks like a hole from the outside.

After not stepping foot in this place after such a long time, I decided I might give it another go. As before, the staff was great, they really were. The bartenders were nice and knowledgeable, security was present and kind as well. The place has been fixed up quite a bit since my last visit, it looks cleaner and there is much more floor space for dancing than there was before. All in all, I would give them five stars for these items, because it really has turned around since my last visit in 2009. With that said, allow me to explain why I only gave them three. I came here to dance with my boyfriend, and dance I did but, the DJ made it really difficult to do and enjoy. Music wasn’t being mixed, song choice and beats didn’t segue well at all, and it felt like the DJ was simply queuing up music on Win Amp or the like. The beats would change drastically and while the offer was there for people to make requests, they did not have anything we requested, which is odd because I tend to enjoy dancing to music that you would find common in clubs. While I enjoyed myself, and will likely find myself here again, I really wish that the DJ would learn to spin better beats or at least open up his repertoire more.

Whoa! What a crazy little place! My gf and a friend of ours went last friday night and had plenty of fun! Music was pretty good, not great and it wouldn’t be hard to kick it up a notch. Bartenders were friendly, fairly prompt and made a strong enough drink. Lots of crazy boys in nearly nothing or in bright pink high heeled shoes. It was quite the show. Having really fun lgbt bars in Dallas we weren’t sure what to expect but Reno knows how to party. Nice mix of gay, lesbian and straight people too. Its totally shady though. I couldn’t tell if I was getting felt up or pick pocketed, so I went back to the car and dropped off anything valuable I had in my pockets. A group of gay guys approached me and said«my friend wants to meet you in the back» I think he meant in the back of the bar, but I’m completely sure that wasn’t the only«back» he had in mind. I thought it was odd since I was with two girls and most gays pick up the straight vibe pretty quickly from me. Overall this place kinda feels like an afterhours club/rave, meets grunge bar with pop music. I’d go again it was very entertaining! :)

Worst club in Reno. The scene is trashy, the place is disgusting. It’s WAY too overcrowded. It is way too small for the amount of people they squeeze in there. I often feel like I’m going to pass out with all the smoke and cramped bodies in the room. The music is awful, and never changes. This club would scare most people away on the first night. I suggest people think twice about going here.

I love the bartender who kept winking at me everytime I tip him for the drink I ordered. the crowd is like Micky’s during after hours. You guessed it.

I used to frequent this place a lot when I was younger. I recently went back when I was in town, and nothing has changed. Theres the same crap interior with the same crap music. This place is for 20 – 22 year olds and if you are older, you won’t have much fun here, even if you’re drunk.

At first this place was alright to just have a drink at the bar and gamble a little. But then all of a sudden I notice that two of the staff members have such an attitude problem! One of them, which is the bigger woman that’s working in there often is all about ignoring customers, even if you ask for general information on future events there at Tronix. But give her a nice tip, and you’ll have just a little respect for a split second as she thanks you for the tip with face movements and tapping the edges of the bills on the counter! The other one is the guy with dirty-blonde hair! OMG he’s the worst! IDK of any other blonde guys there, but he’s the one with the finding Nemo face. He will absolutely ignore you and disrespect you time after time, unless you’ve got a really nice tip! Forgot to mention that he can make some pretty rude remarks and make it obvious that he’s annoyed, for what ever reason! He won’t hesitate in making it obvious he doesn’t like you, even though he doesn’t know you and you don’t know him. Well sorry, but I do tip and every single time I get a drink! So I don’t know why the freakin’ lack of respect. I really don’t expect any of the bartenders there to «socialize» with me. I’m sure it’s the last thing they wanna do, even if they’re not busy. But they should really have respect for the customers! But oh yeah! There’s only one guy in there that I really like and don’t have a single problem with him! I don’t know his name nor nationality, but he seems like he could be a mix of fillipino with arabian. He’s always been cool. So if the owner is reading this, props to your cool bartender, the others… ah… not so much! I don’t think I’ll be going in there anymore. I don’t like to go in to a place, spend money, and then be disrespected and have a bartender with dirty-blonde hair make it obvious to me he doesn’t like me even though I’ve never done anything to him! But I can see why so many people gave this place the nickname, «Tragic».

since i spent new years here, the memories… =x I’d say the bartenders make their drinks well, since one drink in particular. this place makes it the best hands down. the music is usually better then not and depending on when your there the place is moderately packed. the atmosphere there is lively depending on who’s present. The bathrooms are more of a dubious adventure though and my girlfriends warned me to not lose sight of your drinks lol. I’m tempted on giving them a 3 since a couple times we’ve gone people were scarce but we did run over my glasses last time i was there so I know I had a good time!

three stars for the staff ! djs are typical fare nothing interesting, sounds system is a little iffy they blast it way too much, and its a music video club… what i love about the place is that it is a DIVE nightclub which means you go for the strong and good priced drinks, great place to start your night and end it … it won some awards from the news and review a few years ago as a place to have fun … not a place to be seen really … but hey more bang for the buck, not pretentious and lots of fun … Bear and Vonnie the bartenders are awesome and key word«Friendly» always smiling, always cool and they actually like the people they serve … almost all the other nightclubs bartenders in Reno are pre-madonnas which is always an ingredient for a bad vibe … so if you dont mind slumming it… and want cheap drinks with a great staff head over to Tronix and say hi to BEAR!

So, this place barely earns it’s three stars, but it gets them based on the staff. The bartenders sling wicked drinks and they’re extremely nice. I hear the karaōke night is really fun, and they have cool stuff like beer pong tournaments on the weeknights. The problem with this place really is the customers. Tronix is like some magical sort of drama vortex. You go in happy and content, and you leave trapped in some psycho whirlwind of lesbian drama involving a bunch of girls that look like they wanna be Justin Timberlake. I’ve know two guys who were gay bashed in the parking lot, and once on a Saturday we got locked inside by the cops for about an hour with no explanation whatsoever. I used to be really into this place, and maybe I’m just getting old, but the atmosphere of cheap sex(often occuring in the bathroom. Ew.), sweaty 19 year olds with fake IDs, and couples fighting every five feet is just tiresome. Still, it’s nice to see a hoppin’ gay bar in town, as I remember a time when the only place to go was The Quest.

It is a gay bar/club. They play pop music. Sometimes there are videos that match the music. There is a cute bear bartender. People are friendly. Nothing bad, nothing amazing. I’m tempted to up the rating by one star for thriving in Reno, but that would just tint my objective lens, no?
