How does one review a fund raising event this big? I went out to eat and part of that money went to charity! I will say that I appreciated the list of who was giving what so I could make a more informed decision on who to go spend my money at…
The only reason this is 4 stars is because I am normally not a big fan of «eat here and X% goes to Y charity». I mean… basically this is just a way to make people feel good about where they eat but puts all the actual donation burden on the businesses that participate. It’s not like these places have huge margins to make. I really liked that they had donation envelopes so you can give more. Too bad we couldn’t donate the calories back.
I will look forward to this next year… because I know Donna S. will probably put on another great Unilocal Event too!

What a great way to build community involvement and raise money for a good cause. It was exciting to see so many of Reno’s restaurants coming out to support this — from flat donations to 100% of sales. Wow! Just one more reason to love the Reno community.

What a great idea for a charity event. Almost 50 restaurants in the Reno area participated, as many did in 40 cities across the U.S. Most of us will go out to eat at least once this month, so set aside tonight and enjoy a restaurant on the list and they will donate a portion of your check to Northern Nevada Hopes. This organization helps those in this area affected by AIDS.
It’s one of the easiest event you could ever participate in
