Not a bad spot to get a drink with someone if you actually want to talk without yelling. You’ll see it on the right side while walking from the garage elevator or the registration desk. It has a bunch of open seating with a nice dark atmosphere and low tables with plenty of chairs around each. Drinks weren’t too expensive and they have a great chocolate stout which surprised me from a «casino bar/lounge»! If I’m meeting someone where I want to get a drink and be able to talk in a chill atmosphere I will definitely bring them here.

Great place to hang out when staying at the silver legacy. The drinks are decent and they place good r&ab music!

Just as good as roxy’s without the extra background noise We were meeting out of town friends for drinks and want great drinks but a quiet spot. This little lounge/bar fit the bill. A great selection of martinis, mixed drinks and wines by the glass. There’s a large bar area and lots of comfy seating with tables. And the big score– their happy hour lasts till 7pm. Hurray !!!

The waitresses were super nice and the martini was delicious and a nice size for the price. Very comfortable atmosphere.

For casino bars in Reno… This place is alright… They have 1554 on tap. that’s pretty much all there is to it. And it’s nice and chill… With only a couple of tap handles and 1 of them being 1554… I’m a fan!

Very nice people here, the weekend bartender is a kinsman so of course he’s cool. Parking is valet at the Legacy so stay a while and party your fool head off.

Hubby Ross and I have visited this bar every year or so, when we are visiting Reno from Texas, since about 2009 or so. In the past, they closed around 11pm, which left Ross and I without a VP bar home, but now, they are open 24-hours/day AND offer a snack menu for overnight munchies. One night, I ordered the chicken quesadilla, which was HUGE Couldn’t finish it, but they boxed it up so I could munch more later. We used our comps so it didn’t even cost us anything extra. We met a few bartenders along the way and really enjoyed playing video poker here. This bar is technically in the Silver Legacy; however, it’s very accessible from the El Dorado, where we stayed this trip. Ross loves JOB and I am a DW nut, so we can each play our fave games, at the $ 0.25 or higher level, along with getting great drink service. This trip, we met Steve, who is a morning bartender, and is in charge of assembling the Bloody Mary bar every Sunday. I posted a picture so you can enjoy the beautiful set-up for accessorizing your drink! Ask Steve to play 80’s music trivia with you — and you’d better be on your game, or he will win, every time! We also met Neil, who was a mid-time guy, I think, who regaled us with funny stories and great service. Finally, we saw George, from Scotland, who is our old friend from trips before. He immediately remembered us and after a few days, when we were on our last night, he came out from behind the bar and hugged us goodbye. What a nice man — great service, funny stories and just a genuinely nice guy. If you stop by, please tell the guys that lauren and Ross said hello — we’re the couple who had the 4 of a kind contest every time we played! Most of the bartenders loved our game, rooted for us and even kept track on a napkin so we could concentrate on competitive money-losing!

The drinks are delicious, but pricey and service is slow. My favorite is the strawberry mojito. They meddle real strawberries in it!

We stopped here for something to eat later in the evening at around 1 am. We did not order any drinks so I can’t review on that, food only. For our late night munchies we ordered pulled pork sliders and nachos. They were already wrapped up to go so we took them up to our room since we were staying on the hotel. The sliders and nachos both had good flavor and we both enjoyed it. Nothing too special or mind blowing, but for $ 13, this was decent and affordable bar food.

This is just for their attitude and service… Since we were chased out before we were even asked to order. It was close to thanksgiving last year, and yes it took me a while and I’m still upset over it. My wife, our 2 kids, and I were coming back into town to visit my family, we all decided to hit the Sterling Steak House Sunday buffet. Since it was thanksgiving, and we had a party of 5 adults and 2 kids, there was a long wait of 45 mins. We were told we could bring the family to Drinx across the walkway, have a seat, and wait. So, we all sat down by the door and there might have been 4 – 5 people at the bar with all the tables empty. We figure we could all get a drink, chat, and wait. 10 mins gone by, no one came over. Our 2 year old ran off and blew out a few candles that were lit on the other table, since his older brother just had a birthday where he gets to blow out some candles. Now this has gotten us the bartender’s attention immediately! He promptly came over and said«you all need to leave, now.» And then proceeded to complain to the female bartender at the bar, across the entire restaurant since we were sitting at the door, that«stupid Asian kid blew out the candles.» Needless to say, we won’t go back there again. And I hope all Unilocalers will see this bar as what it truly is, a place where family, children, and apparently Asian, are not welcome here. And if anyone wonders who the male bartender guy was, look in picture for a guy bending over lighting a candle. I took that picture of him and told him to smile ;)

Yuck! This place is located inside the Silver Legacy Hotel/Casino, and is privately owned(and separate from the Silver Legacy). My review in no way reflects on that fine hotel and casino. The«drinx» were poorly made by a blonde bimbo barmaid who had no idea what she was doing(even when supplied by myself with the recipe for the drink being ordered), and it was served by a cocktail waitress who was rude, disrespectul and«dull.»(I was treated nicer, by my first muther-in-law.) The only nice person in the whole place, was the Mexican cleaning woman. I told her, «Usted es una persona mucho mejor que sus empleadores.» She knew what I meant, and I gave HER the tip.

Drinx lounge, I flew into Reno on a Tuesday and this was a happy hour stop my friend and i had to make. Free drinks… HELLYES! Actually didn’t know the drinks were free until after we purchased a couple of happy hour drinks, which were not that pricey btw. $ 3 draft beer and $ 3 mixed drinks. If you sit at the bar and play a few times every now and then you get your drinks for free, i was not aware of this because we were sitting at the bar, i knew about free drinks while on machines and tables on the floor. The place is nice, right near a main walking area so you can the BEST/WORST Reno has to offer. If you’re a nonsmoker then Reno may not be the place for you, seems like they smoke WAY more than in Vegas. We snagged a place at the bar, it wasn’t that busy on a Tuesday night but still ran into some cool people. If you’re in Reno this is a must stop and drink place for sure! Be sure and get George as your Bartender, that’s one cool Scottish dude!

Drinx is in the Silver Legacy right across from Sterling’s. It’s open to the main drag so you don’t feel like you’re sequestered away in a separate establishment. And you have full view of the foot-traffic for excellent judging, I mean, people-watching, potential. ;D If you get here in the morning or afternoon and you are a fan of bloody marys, you should definitely check this spot out. Their bloody mary bar is awesome! I’m all about the customization thing. Worcestershire sauce, olives, pickled beans, actual pickles, steak sauce… everything but the kitchen sink goes into mine! Service can be a little iffy, so if you want prompt attention, I recommend ordering from the bar instead of sitting and waiting for a server to finally notice you. Good prices by the way — during bloody mary bar hours, they’re only $ 4.50(I think they go up to $ 7-ish later in the evening).

Best bloody mary ever and an excellent, classy atmosphere. Seriously, they pour you a premium pint glass of quality mary goodness and then you doctor it up yourself with all the olives, pickles, celery, horseradish and hot sauce you want. We spent several hours chatting it up w/Stephen P.(the best Casino bartender we’ve found so far in Reno), gambling and enjoying the incredible bloody mary fixins bar(more like a buffet). If you’re like me and you prefer to gamble for your drinks in NV rather than paying for them outright, then this is the place to sit in downtown Reno. We had a good amount of money in the video pokers and were playing max bet fairly consistently over several hours, so Stephen had no problem with comping us out on call brand(Skyy and Absolut) bloodys and white russians. He never rolled his eyes or looked knowingly at our poker screens if we just happened not to be playing really fast at the exact moment we ordered a new round of drinks. As long as you keep it legit with your betting, they will keep it legit with the comped premium drinks. I can’t speak for what this place might be like on a busy weekend night with lots of drunk partyers crowding the bar, but for Sunday morning bloodys and video poker sessions this place is excellent. One small gripe… they were playing the 80’s station the whole time we were there. I bet he would’ve changed it if we asked, but clearly some of the older folks were really digging it, so I didn’t want to rock the boat. I have to give em a pass on that anyway, cus I know that video poker and bloody marys aren’t exactly a young man’s scene…

The good: The bartender poured a stiff drink. We ordered a Crown and a Makers and they were nicely poured drinks. Seats were comfortable. Other than the smoking it was a nice atmosphere. The bad: Despite the bar being 30−40% occupied with 3 waitresses the service was ungodly slow. It took forever to get our drinks and several times the waitress forgot what we ordered and we had to ask again. The ugly: We were hit for an additional drink we didn’t order(and the card was open). When we brought this up the waitress told us we could either have the drink OR she’d have to get her manager involved in order for us to get a refund. We didn’t want the additional drink. It took about 45 minutes from us initially asking for our check to actually leaving. It should not be that painful to get a bill corrected. With the amount of bars in this town we probably won’t patronize Drinx again…

Drinx Lounge, how I love thee, let me count the ways. First, you make the absolutely best Bloody Mary’s I’ve ever had. Drinx has a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar on Saturdays and Sundays. For $ 7.50, Robert and Amy(first shift) will mix the Bloody Mary and you can top it off with anything and everything on their beautiful bar which is set up outside the lounge. They have toppings ranging from celery, spiced up whole green beans, garlic stuffed olives, lime, lemon, Tabasco sauce, and horseradish. The Bloody Marys were a great cure for my dehydration in the high altitude of Reno, Nevada. Second, the bartenders are attentive and HOT. Robert and Amy took care of me in the the mornings and Giovanni and George worked the evenings. After rounds of rum and coke and a delicious chocolate martini scattered throughout for 4 days in the Reno area, I made Drinx Lounge my hangout during college football games. Drinx was a GREAT place to watch the Boise State-University of Nevada, Reno football game on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Third, the lounge is beautifully decked out in art deco style. They have super comfortable chairs and sofas which you can use to meet with friends and family while watching the never-ending plethora of games throughout the year. Drinx Lounge is located in the Silver Legacy Casino in Downtown Reno. For those who aren’t familiar with the Reno area, it is located in the Silver State of Nevada and has easy access to Lake Tahoe, Mt Rose, and the Sierra Nevada mountains which has every outdoor activity available. You can hike, fish, ski, ATV in the high desert, horse back ride, etc. There’s so much more to do besides gamble in the Reno-Lake Tahoe area… then again I LOVESECONDHANDCASINOSMOKE!!! LOL!!! GOWOLFPACK!!!
