Love these folks. They’re so friendly and helpful. I used Emigrant when I was moving between homes. I just finished moving my stuff out of storage and I was kind of sad. They’re like family there. It was always a treat to see the owner’s dogs.

My experience with Susan was nothing short of outstanding. She was professional, courteous and most of all helpful and receptive to my needs. She worked with me in getting all of the necessary paperwork completed via email, well in advance of my arrival. In addition, when I did arrive, having more then one space available she had both shown to me so I could choose the one I wanted. If I had to choose an RV storage site again in this area I would return to Emigrant.

If I could give it less than 1 star I would. Horrible Customer Service! We took our immaculate newly painted 91′ purple motor home in to rent a storage space from them and they refuse to rent storage to anything that is older than 20 years unless they sight approve it. The lady just looked out the window and saw that the roof was purple and said no we won’t rent to you. She refused to even come out of her office to look at it the entire motor home. I just re-upholstered the entire inside to new and dropped over 1,000 on all new tires! It was in better shape than half of their RV’s on site. Unbelievable! I wonder if they would refuse a newly painted purple classic car or refuse the winnebagos that are now coming out in all sorts of colors. I understand they may have run into people in the past who have purchased a $ 500 beater RV for just Burning Man and abandoned it. But that is NOTUS! We Love our motor home and would never abandon it! I also know you make money on abandoning Rvs by taking them to auction, it’s not like you have them for life!

When you drive into the gates of Emigrant storage, the first thing you’ll notice is an extremely clean property complete with, what appears to pristine landscaping and what appears to be a beautiful wood cabin right in front of you. No, this is no high desert mirage you’re witnessing. This is the ultimate statement of dedication to a business and its customers. This is actually the owners home! This is his permanent residence, where he lives with his 2 dogs. He’s literally built his business around his home and I say for the better! It’s actually really nice to see him there, moving through the property, checking on his employees, and even greeting guests. You kind of feel like you’ve been invited to store your stuff at his home, a feeling I never imagined I’d get at a storage facility. The staff here is also super friendly and extremely informative. Susan, who manages the phones, front office, and seemingly everything in it, is a one many army. But when the many happy customers, most of which she knows by name or face, come calling or drop in for a visit, it may take a little time to get through. So bring some patience and know that you’re going to get top notch service when your turn comes. I’m really happy keeping my stuff at Emigrant and I’d highly recommend it to anyone in the market. Clean, safe, and secure, but most of all friendly. They’ve got spaces for boats, RVs, trailers, as well as storage lockers. Just make sure and keep up on your payments, or those storage hunters are coming for ya!

A storage unit place isn’t the most exciting business to write about, especially considering you usually only deal with their customer service when your either leasing a new space or vacating. That said however I’ve used various places around town and we come back to Emigrant. First off, the front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have friendly staff to help with you with locating the unit and loading upper units. We have both a small storage unit and an RV space and have been extremely happy.
