Why it is closed? What I was told by a long time employee about 1 week before the last day of business is this: 1. Bimbo Bakeries bakes all the products for Northern Nevada in the SF Bay area. 2. Bimbo then trucks the products to Northern Nevada for distribution to retail stores. 3. The products not sold in the retail stores are then put on sale at this outlet store. 4. The products not sold at the outlet store by the expiration date +1 day are then sold as animal feed(mostly pigs) for an extremely low, low price. 5. Bimbo’s business model was not working well in Northern Nevada. Not enough product was selling at the retail stores and not enough were selling at the outlet store. The pigs were happy though. 6. Bimbo decided to ship the unsold product from the Northern Nevada retail stores back to the SF Bay area outlet stores and close the Reno outlet store. The unsold products shipped back to SF are on the same trucks that bring the fresh baked products from SF. Previously those trucks returned to SF empty. It was great while it lasted. Try the TastyKake outlet.

Was great but is now closed, because of lengthy road construction, I believe. Phone numbers are disconnected so I don’t think it moved.

The outlet is closed! Does anyone know why? I stopped by on Friday and there was a sign on the door saying it ceased operations on 4÷9÷15. Such a bummer and a surprise because it was always busy.

Orowheat bread is the best in my opinion. This place is awesome because it is half the price of what Scolari’s down the street charges. They carry other products as well like Entenmann’s Donuts, Bobali Pizza, Thomas Muffins, and a few other smaller brands. Price is great too and the employee’s are friendly and helpful.

This place is great, if you’re looking to score some cheap bread! They sell my favorite Oat Nut bread for just $ 2.00, when it is usually $ 3.49! They have all kinds of deals on bread and if you buy a certain amount of loaves, you’ll get a couple of free loaves(On Saturdays!) t isn’t a large store, but it has a variety of english muffins, bagels, some miscellaneous stuff like soups and spices, danishes, donuts, muffins, and of course, bread! The deals are not always the same. They mix it up and prices seem to vary every time I am in there, but you can always find something. They are cheap, the bread is fresh and the customer service is decent! Every person, I’ve dealt with here, has been nothing but polite and rings me up fast, so I can move on with me day!

This place is great! I love the fact that you can score English muffins for $ 2.00 and yummy Buttermilk Bread for $ 2.49. At Raley’s and Safeway you can pay up to $ 5 per loaf. I’ve also been able to find tortillas for $ 1.00 for a ten pack. They offer a discount card where when you fill up your punch card you can receive to items for free.(Bonus!!) If you spend over $ 10 they will give you a free item off of their black item rack. Totally worth the drive to save some coin.

The prices weren’t what I was expecting. But there are enough bonuses and extras I see myself becoming a regular here. The price on Oroweat bread is $ 2.20 a loaf. Some grocery stores have it for $ 3 a loaf. That’s not enough of a discount to justify a trip to southeast Reno. They have a nice selection of Bob’s Red Mill products here and they are 10 percent off list price. That’s probably what is going to bring me back. They have a table where everything on it is $ 1. It was hot dog buns the day I visited. If it’s always hot dog buns, that’s not much of a discount. They also have a frequent buyer card that will get you something free. If you buy more than $ 7 worth of bread, you can take something free off a certain rack. I got sourdough English muffins and they were tasty. The address says South Rock Boulevard, but the easiest way to get in is from McCarran Boulevard. The store faces McCarran and it’s the first right after you pass Rock Boulevard heading south on McCarran. If you do go through the Rock Boulevard entrance, it looks like you’re driving through the FedEx parking lot, but you’re not.
