Wife and I went in today. Not bad. Medium sized fries good. We had 2 big cheeseburgers. Good taste and plenty of peanuts while waiting for your order. Friendly staff. Will go back again.

Excellent Burgers and Fries. It’s a chain, but the food quality is better than most«sit-down» restaurants. Bad for your diet, but otherwise highly recommend.

Really great burgers. Delicious and tasty. Always happy with the high quality meat and ingredients. I do not, however, like the fries here. And they only serve burgers and fries. So I take it to go and hit up McDonald’s or somewhere else close by and get fries and sides. They focus on that they know best, the staff gives excellent service and just because I don’t like the fries doesn’t mean you won’t. Give them a try. A very nice location also.

Meh. That’s about the best I’ve got to say about this place. Heard great things and was excited to try it — plus, I had just gotten out of the gym when I went in(and off of a heavy squat program), so I was HUNGRY. I ordered a big cheeseburger and big bacon cheeseburger(2 patties each) and fries. The burger was just meh. Nothing special. Seasoning was OK, flavors were OK, fries were OK. Nothing memorable. For a $ 24 tab, I was expecting more. I probably won’t be back any time soon. Not that it was poor, but just that it doesn’t give me much reason to go out of my way to spend my time here again.

Five Guys gets five stars. I don’t get burgers often, but when I do — this is it. Super duper fresh ingredients that you can taste and just to DIE for fries. They actually taste like potatoes!!! If that wasn’t enough, the staff was shaking it to the music when I arrived that out me in a fantastic mood AND then someone actually made a lap later to see how my food was! Fast? Yes. Fast food, I think not!

We stop by here on our way home from Reno craving for burgers! The line was not long since we arrived 30 minutes after they open on Sunday. I got the cheeseburger with all black letter toppings and gf got a bacon cheese dog. The burger and hotdog was not sloppy, which made is very easy for me to take a large bite on the burger without so many toppings falling off! The burger was so fresh and tasty. If I have to pick between In n Out or Five Guys, Five Guys would definitely be my pick!

Five guys gets a five star from me. It had been years since I ate here and it didn’t disappoint. I got the little burger and it was perfect size since I didn’t want to over fill my belly, but the inner fat kid in me would have loved the big bacon cheese burger. My burger was flavorful and juicy and all the condiments were fresh. The store was clean and tidy, which always makes your visit better when you don’t have to clean your table before you eat. The fries were super good too but I only had a few since I want to fit in a bikini this summer. ;)

Five Guys is a nice option to have available, i don’t really like burgers from fast food joints and id rather go to a specialty burger place like this or In-N-Out. The place is very fast paced, but the employees handle everything so quickly and efficiently and are still friendly. The food itself is nothing out of this world, they do have an extensive toppings menu and the portions are generous. This place is a nice alternative to fast food or when you get bored of going to In-N-Out. I am not really a burger person in general every now and then i will eat one but I would definitely consider stopping at this place when I’m in the mood for one.

This WAS my favorite burger and fry joint in Reno Nevada. They are very clean, friendly, and they give you a massive amount of french fries! The burgers could use some seasoning, but the fries are excellent when fresh! My only complaint besides the somewhat bland meat is the price, when you have a family of 6, you are talking about $ 50 for burgers and fries.

First time in, I drive by it all the time, but rather than going into Chipotle, we opted for Five Guys. Clean, somewhat crowded at noon, décor is, well, I’m not sure how I’d describe it, other than bags of potatoes on the floor. Fuddruckers comes to mind. Line in to order, and it’s burgers and fries. I say if you do something really well, you don’t need a huge menu. They do burgers REALLY well. They do fries exceptionally well. The burger was big, it was juicy, it was perfectly cooked. It was wrapped in foil, to keep all the juiciness from dripping all over. Just the right amount of lettuce, tomatoes, and onion. The fries had the skin left on, the small order was enormous and we couldn’t eat all of the fries there were so many. They were crispy and delicious. Best burger I’ve had in a very long time.

The truth of the matter is – and this is heresy coming from a native Californian – I’ve never been a big fan of In-N-Out. I mean, I’ll eat there if I have to, but I’ve never understood the hype. Frankly, I don’t really understand the hype about Five Guys, either, but I do prefer them to In-N-Out. A bit more expensive, but you get more as well. I like that there aren’t a lot of big choices to make – just a cheeseburger all the way and a small fry and mix my own drink and done. The fries are probably what really keeps me coming back, and the fact that their soda robot offers Mr. Pibb. So, y’know, nothing mind-blowing, but neither have I ever been disappointed.

I’m glad we stopped in today to finally experience Five Guys burgers because I’ve heard mixed reviews, mostly positive, about this place. I’m not sure I like the burger and fries quite as much as I like In-N-Out, though. For me, the patty was plenty juicy, but lacked in flavor and seasoning in my opinion. Somehow I feel that In-N-Out consistently offers great flavor and I’m a fan of their«special sauce», something I found myself wanting on my burger today. Of course, we gobbled up our messy«little» burgers, which weren’t so little to us, and Sean said he actually prefers this to In-N-Out. I would definitely return here because it’s up there in my «great local burger rankings» and not at all«bad» by any means. I think I could request more seasonings next time and see how it works. I did enjoy the grilled onions and the different fixings that can be added at little or no charge. I love that you can also get burgers bunless because I love protein style. The fries were great and crispy just how I like them, too. The service was awesome and we let them know it was our first time. The gal who took our order explained the differences between burgers(«little» being one patty and«burger» meaning two) and what’s included. I appreciated the patience and welcoming feeling they gave us right up until we left. Another lady, who was wiping down tables in the dining room, offered to bring us a clean bag for our fries and peanuts if we wanted to take them to-go. She also offered to throw away our trash. It’s not often you receive that kind of service in «fast food» dining and it made a great first impression on this visit for me. Should we ever find ourselves in the mood for burgers and fries and want to change it up from our other choices in the area, Five Guys is definitely a place I will consider returning to and bringing guests, as well.

My boyfriend was aching for a burger so I decided to stop by here since it was close to where I was shopping on the way home. Ordering was easy due to the simple menu, and the open kitchen was fun to watch while you order your meal. I ordered a small fry and a double bacon cheeseburger. I was glad that there were so many choices for additions, so that your burger could be easily customized. They also had a super fancy soda machine that could be used to create an astonishing amount of flavor combinations with your favorite sodas. The verdict: 8⁄10 stars, which is quite the feat, considering everything in life for him is ‘just ok’.

We tried out five guys today and it was the highlight of our night. We had the bacon burgers with all the toppings and it was one of the best burgers we have ever had around town! Not only that but the customer service was on point since the moment we walked thur the door till the moment we left. Thank you for the awsome experience will keep coming back even if its a 30 min drive from where we live :] Thank you Dan and Kira

Five guys, convenient location in Reno. Rating for food 5 stars. It was really good. Overall 4 stars, because somehow I feel ripped off. 18 dollars for 2 fries and a burger? I paid much less for a gourmet burger made of grass fed beef in a prime location in Napa Valley. That seems to be reasonable, but a fast food joint? I don’t know, maybe I am becoming a cheap’o…:)

I finally had Five Guys in my mouth. I’d been hearing that Five Guys was the best most amazing ever so we had to give it a try. I liked that there are peanuts as a little snack and something to do while you wait. Peanuts are lovely. I like the simple menu. Even my kids couldn’t take a year to decide. Spoiler alert: we all had burgers. I had mine with everything. I liked it. It was a nice burger. The bottom bun fell apart a bit, I’m guessing because of the«everything» being a bit damp(as in… greasy. mmmm, I like grease) so it was a wee bit messy. Ok, a lot messy. Ok, I had burger juice dripping from my elbows. Quite literally, I am why we can’t have nice things. I liked that the onions are grilled. I like that they have mushrooms. However, the meat was bland! That saddened me. Seasoning up that meat would have made a world of difference. The fries are very good and they have malt vinegar on the counter so obviously they’ve been reading my diary. Love me some malt vinegar on fries. And they have one of those cool soda machines that does all the different flavors, those are cool. On the whole, the food was good. Not great. I still prefer Juicy’s– but you guys mostly know how I feel about Juicy’s though, right? I will go back to Five Guys though because malt vinegar. And cherry ginger ale.

I have never been to a Five Guys anywhere, but people rave about it, so of course I had to finally try it out. We stopped in a couple weeks ago for«linner» and a fuel up before grocery shopping. I’m glad we let the guy at the counter explain how the menu worked, because I would have ended up with way too much food if I just assumed I knew what I was doing. I ordered the little cheeseburger and added on mayo, grilled mushrooms, pickles, grilled onions, and ketchup. The little burgers are 1 patty and about the size you would expect of a normal-sized hamburger. All of the toppings are free. We also ordered a little size of the cajun fries, which is a good size for 2 people to share. Our food was ready in a pretty decent amount of time, not quick enough to know that everything was pre-made, but not so slow that you’re wondering what you’re waiting for. I really enjoyed the hamburger, and I’m sure your toppings make a difference. I kind of regretted not getting a bacon burger and not adding jalapenos — next time! The fries were pretty good, but I think I’d probably opt for the plain ones next time. Overall, a solid choice when you’re in the mood for quick burger.

Five guys burgers is located next to chipolte on the corner of mccarran and kietze. I. Was pleasantly surprised that it was not packed when we arrived 5pm. My wife and i both ordered cheeseburgers with fries. There is a whole list of stuff you can put on you r burgers which makes it more YUM. This place is not cheap, for both of us with sodas the tab came to 25 dollars. But the quality of the burger is fantastic, and the french fries are addictive. I usually do not get fries, these fries are good. In fact if you are ordering for two people one order of fries is plenty.

We had just gotten back to Reno after a crazy wedding week and day of travel, and we were all starving. So we begin to ask the ever popular question… What’s open on a Sunday in South Reno after 9PM? Only this time we were exhausted and insisted on something we could take home and enjoy from the comfort of our couch. In-N-Out was the only thing that came to mind, so we set our course, and I set my brain into burger mode. Midway there the driver realized Chipotle was also open until 10pm, so we changed course for bowls and burritos. Those sounded good, but my mind was stuck on burgers, and big disappointment started to set in. But as we arrived at Chipotle, I saw the glowing white light and red letters of Five Guys calling to me. So I decided to give them a shot, though I had some amount of trepidation from one previous experience in FL and the reviews from my fellow Unilocalers. All of that faded to the background when I saw the long list of FREE toppings available, so I ordered a regular cheeseburger with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, and grilled jalapenos, plus the usual lettuce, tomato, and onion, along with a side of fries. So here’s where they fall from 4 stars to three… The bun was great. Seeded, soft, and just barely able to stand up to the juices of the burger. The toppings were tasty, fresh, and great additions to the burger, but they were a little light on many of the ones I’d wanted a healthy amount of like the jalapenos. The biggest bummer was the burger itself, which was seriously under seasoned and bland. I had to doctor it up big time when I got home. The fries were something I was excited about, as I’d recalled them being interestingly seasoned from a previous visit, with something a sweet, salty, and spicy sprinkled on top. But these did not have that, and in addition were not really crispy despite ordering them extra crispy. As I walked out I saw that you could get the fries with cajun seasoning, so maybe that’s what I was missing. So overall, Five Guys is a solid 3 star burger. I would recommend insisting upon extra seasoning on your burger, extra of whatever toppings you like most, and extra crispy fries with extra seasoning. There’s a trend here…

Hands down the best burger franchise joint I’ve tasted so far. This beats In N Out Burger by far in my opinion. I like that there are numerous choices to pick for toppings on your burger and it’s no extra charge! I got a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, ketchup and pickles. Other condiments are mustard, mushrooms, grilled onions, bacon, jalapenos, A-1 steak sauce, etc… The potatoes are fresh hand cut fries. There is a sign in the front that tells you where the potatoes came from for that day. Usually it’s from the Idaho area. There are also a box of peanuts you can help yourself to if you are waiting for your food. The Coke machine was awesome! Different flavors of Coke and it’s other products that you use a touch screen to get it to work. You can mix and match sodas and make unique sodas. There is even an app for your phone to work the machine to make which drink you want. The most impressive thing was that this is the first fast food joint where they come around and ask you how you are doing and how your meal was. Very friendly service and vibe.
