This bakery has no concept of what crust is. House of Dough should be their name. If you do buy something here, do like their restaurant customers do and finish baking it off. Only then is it edible.

Wonderful selection of fresh-backed sweet & savory breads, sandwiches, and soups. The ladies behind the counter are cheerful, informative, and very generous with the samples.

Absolutely love the delicious bread aromas that meet my face the moment I walk in. I love that they’re generous with their(fresh yummy) samples and that they provide nice creamy butter to accompany them. I was blown away by their garden herb and garlic cheddar bread– bursting with flavor, absolutely delicious!!! On the other hand, I wouldn’t get their sourdough bread. Maybe I’ve been spoiled rotten with perfect sourdough bread in San Francisco. The texture is a bit too dense for me and the flavor can be better. They make sandwiches with your choice of bread and they also serve other items like biscuits and gravy, baked sweet goods, and coffee. I will definitely be back to try their other things.

I love bread and all the creations H.O.B. comes up with. It’s a small shop set in the back of the Village Market shopping center. The store has a few outdoor tables to sit and eat. There is one table inside. The store features a large chalk board with daily specials. They have a counter with their breakfast goodies and a sample station where they have a bread or pastry they are letting people try. They’ll slice whichever loaf of bread you pick. I like to grab a sandwich every once in a while too. Today we have a breakfast sandwich on a jalapeño cheddar UN-bagel. Mmmmm. So tasty, especially with the red pepper sauce. The staff is friendly and fun to talk with. They get you in and out and handle you with care! They also have punch cards for loaves of bread! Parking is limited so keep that is mind. You can always park in the back of the building by going past it in the parking lot.

The best bakery in town hands down. Exceptional sandwiches and service. I see the same faces year after year… My daughter can’t get enough.

The place isn’t clean and it’s pricey. I paid $ 10.59 for a Snapple and sandwich. The sandwich I had was alright. The bread was fresh, but that’s what you except from a bread house.

Bread bread bread! Sandwiches are simple and lunches are easy, not over the top. It’s just nice and homely and I love the different types of bread. The oatmeal bread is one of my favorites.

All in all it wasn’t anything to write home to mom about taste was pretty good, but to be honest I don’t think it’s worth the price. It wasn’t great. Menu is very confusing I which they should change because it says there’s meal deals however there is not each item is individually sold and they are pretty expensive a soda is a buck and a quarter and the service isn’t that great either it’s not horrible but it’s not great.

I love artisan breads and just came home from my first experience at House of Bread. I purchased a sliced honey wheat and a sliced squaw bread for my neighbor. I got a garlic cheddar for myself. While in the shop I tasted the honey wheat and the white bread. Never having been a fan of the fluffy white bread– this version was interesting and tasty. I like heavy breads. I want my loaf of sourdough to double as a weapon. They have none of those types of bread. No crusty or crunch outside breads at this place. What they do have is good, tasty, no-crap-containing breads. I will definitely be back.

I have not been to the House of Bread in years, i am rarely in this section of town. Well i found myself looking for a quick breakfast bite, and i thought about House of Bread. That is the cool thing i like about Unilocal,a little voice in the back of your head says try something new, do not go to mcdonalds. So i listened to my little voice(my wife says i listen to many voices) and i went to The House of Bread. To be totally truthfull it is hard to review this place, they have so much to choose from and it all looks good. So i will review just the cinnamon roll and service. The roll itself was fantastic with over the top taste of cinnamon, it was very light and fluffy. The part that perplexed me alittle was, when i ordered i told them it was for here. They gave it to me in a brown paper bag stone cold. I returned it t o them and as asked them to heat it up and put it on a plate. This oversight was minor, and they were very pleasant about correcting the prolem. There are three tables inside and a couple outside that were filled even on a cold damp morning. I will be back to try some of there yummy bread

OMGBREAD. Am I the only one who craves, and could eat bread, in some form or another, for every single meal of the day? This is the HOUSE of bread! It’s like the Mecca of bread, the Holy Land of bread, it’s the freaking promise land of BREAD. If there could be anything better than their bread, it’s their discount table of day-old bread. At House of Bread, their day-old bread is the bread that’s still on the Walmart truck, so fresh, it hasn’t even been delivered. It’s practically out of the oven and amazing. And… it’s less than $ 3 a loaf. And, and… every time I go in to get my gluttonous fill, the women behind the counter practically beg me to take a sample(a whole piece) of some fabulous croissant, scone, or delectable morsel of pound cake. I mean, come on. I said ‘bread’ a lot. That was kind of excessive… now the word looks and sounds wrong, but it’s not because it’s freaking BREAD!

In town for a night and decided to come here based on the other reviews. We weren’t disappointed. Staff are welcoming and super friendly. They were calling the regulars by name and filling brought from home coffee cups. I had the turkey on 13 grain with the pepper sauce and the herb seasoning. It was really good. Bread was soft and flavorful. My husband had a turkey on plain white, he loved it and thought about going back for another. This is surprising because he is not a sandwich person, we came in originally to check out the bread selection. We will definitely be back.

This little known gem is one of my go-to spots for breakfast and lunch. Their biscuits and gravy are delicious and they have tons of yummy baked goods including a vast selection of fresh breads. For lunch they make the best sandwiches! Great food and very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place!

Pretty good. Had a sandwich full of meat the wife purchased for me. I would give it another try myself. I would say the sandwich is delightful. Give it a try if you are using Unilocal as a buying guide.

I went here on a whim to kill some time before a meeting. The employees were wonderful and handed me a thick slice on banana bread just as a same. I immediately fell in love with it and bought a loaf for my neighbor. They also have coffee which is good and a nice little patio you can sit at. Not at expensive at all. Perfect stop for a gift or for a quick bite.

Tried the sandwich today, it was Turkey, Jalapeño Cheese Bagel, Garlic Pesto Sauce, Cheddar, and most of the toppings. It didn’t Wow me. It’s was okay, nothing special. It sounds really good on paper, and I heard REALLYGREAT things about the sandwiches, but just mediocre for me. The sauce really doesn’t work either. The bagel/bread was very average too, not impressive. I probably wouldn’t order that sandwich again or the bagel/bread. HOWEVER I got a sample of the Carrot Bread, and that was 5STARS! It had a delicious crust. I would 100% buy that bread, and like to try other ones!

We recently got a box o’ goodies from this place for a morning company meeting that was packed with muffins, cinnamon rolls and pastries. I only tried the cinnamon rolls but that was enough to make me a fan of this place. Warm, melty, ooey-gooey, this roll had it all. Other staff members really liked the blueberry muffins with crumbles on top and other breakfast pastries. Needless to say, there was an empty box that was thrown out because we had ate it all! Would come to their place to try lunchtime sandwiches as those seem popular too.

Amazing breads! The basil Parmesan bread, the sourdough and pumpkin bread are A-okay. I bought a couple dozen sugar cookies at Xmas last year when visiting and our family was in love. Good place to grab some unusual and yummy gluten for a meal.
