Me and my Mark were here for his birthday. We are really fat but wow that stuffed us up! We got 4 tacos each and. There is some really good stuff there. I mostly like the Tacos because it’s so good! I would likely give it a 10⁄10

I wouldn’t call this place fast food because it’s not fast. From ordering to receiving your food is pretty slow especially through the drive through. That said. I grew up on this stuff. It’s not authentic. It’s not American-Mexican. It’s just Jimboys. Simple and sometimes pretty greasy but always yummy and comforting. Chicken tacos are the BEST!

I love the ground beef tacos! They are just plain g o o d! I get a hankering every other day for their food. The spot is old – the people are nice. The food is hot and consistent!

Never impressed with the time it takes to get from drive through to get my food. I don’t know if they are always under staffed or just have a long process of doing things, but on average I spend over five minutes in the drive-through when I’m the only one there. I love this place but not a good place to go if you are in a hurry!

All of the usual items are good and greasy(tacos, burritos, etc) but the hamburgers are amazing. Get some of the tomatillo salsa and smother that critter with it — it’ll set you free. I can’t answer for the cheeseburgers — I always just order the hamburgers. The bean burritos are darned good too.

Lets get real people, If you come to Jim Boys its not for 5 star dining, its not gormet meals, its not for authentic mexican food. If you expect all that you will be dissapointed or are delusional to say the least. The tacos specfically here are very very greasy like it eats through the brown paper bag greasy and sometimes the horchata can taste a little off Im not sure what thats about. Anyways the dining area is not the cleanest lets just say that I warn you do not sit by the window sills because that is where the flies congregate Customer service is Ok never had a problem but don’t expect 5 star customer service either its a fast food joint. Moving on to the food the tacos specifically, Now are far as greasy heart attack inducing tacos go these used to be the best. Maybe I have high expectations for greasy fast food but i’ve noticed a drop in quality. As a kid i have fond memories of Jim boys but now as an adult it’s just not the same. Sometimes the tacos are luke warm or really crispy like they burned them or something they do not taste like they did in the good old days. This is for the location specifically, i havent been to the other ones in a while

Was in peppermill for a few days and was left by myself cus others went out to have fun, decided to walk out to get some grub cus hotel foods are way overpriced. I had the carne asada plate, it wasn’t bad, tasted like chinese black pepper iron plate beef, and I didn’t have any GI issues afterward. Worth trying it out if you didn’t want to eat expensive hotel food.

I just went to this one today, and my mom got a chile relleno combo and a six pack of tacos, and I got the enchellada and burrito special with chicken. When I ordered mine, I asked for no salad and got a salad, which was nice greens that were warm with the tomato topping that was on the other«salad» of shredded iceberg lettuce. To me, if a customer asks for no salad, then you should make sure that is what you give to them. I put my mom’s tacos away, and they were very funky. There was one were there was one half that was more up, and the other was more down, so what got put in the middle really couldn’t stay there well, and they were greasier than they normally are.

Yes that’s right, a five! If you don’t know the heavenly, greasy, Parmesan dusted glory that is Jimboy’s, the time has come! Is this the most authentic Mexican food you can find? That’s not the point, so skip that rebuttal please. This is a cheesy, guilty pleasure for a fortunate few who live within their limited footprint. Most of the items on their menu have a corn tortilla with cheese and meat, with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on the outside. Most meals come with Spanish rice and refried beans. Jimboy’s also offers vegetarian items. Get two ground beef taco supremes, and you’re good! They have amazingly delicious breakfast burritos also. EATHERE!

If you want greasy Mexican food late night, go here but don’t expect a gourmet meal, it’s definitely fast food. I like their tacos pretty well. I think their choice to fry everything is interesting and really only for every once in a while. Their beans are lacking in flavor, but I like the cheese that they use. It’s pretty cheap and reasonable in speed(never been inside and probably wouldn’t go). Again, it is greasy, deep fried«Mexican food». I prefer Super Burrito to Jimboys and would usually go there. But everything I have ever had from Jimboy’s has been decent and filling for a reasonable price. Probably wind up going back for a lack of other options during late night.

I agree with previous reviews weird but good. We only had the ground beef tacos. Service was polite and quick. Nice salsa selection. Tacos where in the greasy side but I think I will be craving a few next time I’ve had a few. Worth a try for sure.

Not sure about calling this«authentic Mexican» but Jimboy’s has a unique style of its own unlike any other Mexican-themed fast food joint I’ve encountered. A greasy, salty charm. Very greasy. From my experience the burritos and anything with chicken can be skipped as being«meh». The Tacoburger is interesting, worth a try and surprisingly filling at $ 3.30. Regular ground beef tacos are decent comfort food and only $ 1.30 or so, better than Taco Bell certainly. Both with Parmesan cheese along the bottom for a bit of a unique flavor. Just one thing, if you’re watching blood pressure they dust the hell out of the tortillas with extra salt for some reason.

Tons more authentic than Taco Bell and Del Taco(although I have nothing against either one of them!) One thing you’ll notice right off the bat is that this is the slighty greasy type of Mexican food that you predominantly see in Mexican restaurants vs. fast food outlets, so it’s awesome. Never had a bad menu item, although I didn’t really care for the salad that comes with the combo platters. Note the tacos are sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Definitely try the tacos, quesadillas, salsa/pepper bar, and rice.

The only thing you should order from here is the greasy beef tacos. 3 to 6 will do for most people. Burritos, enchiladas, etc. are to be avoided. If you feel the urge for a side dish, there is the daily special that comes with rice and beans, but only do this if the special is two tacos. It’s called Jimboys TACOS for a reason, not Jimboy’s Mexican Jamboree. That it get’s four stars for one item alone attests to the level of flavor that grease and Parmesan cheese can achieve.

Never really had a bad meal here at the Jimboy’s chain of Mexican restaurants. The daily deals come with a drink and are a good value for the money. They’re usually open 24⁄7 and the workers here are friendly. Good quick Mexican meal when on the run in Reno.

Jimboy’s ground beef taco is a paper wrapped packet of crispy, greasy deliciousness. Ignore the creepy drive through; the tacos are worth it.
