Kroll and Lighthouse

The office is quite technology, ahead of most that I have been in. You receive text messages to confirm appointment and to know when your order is in. In the back all you past history is at the doctor’s finger tips on the computer.
The staff are all quite nice.
I am in a quandary lately. I have used this office for 10 years now. I also have duel vision insurance and still paid almost $ 700 for my last visit– full exam, new glasses with bifocals, clip sunglasses and new bifocals in my safety glasses. I’m wondering if insurance is worth it at all. Or how a big chain store is. Torn. I am not real satisfied on the new pair, but the staff did offer to check with the lab and see if changes could be made.
The office hours are also very convenient, you can pick up at 7:15 am on weekdays.

Dr. Lighthouse and Jessica will change your life! Well… at least the life of your eyes!
I am so glad to have used Unilocal to find an optometrist in the Reno area. It was really easy to create an appointment online, and find information on their website. But honestly, its the great staff at the office.
Dr. Lighthouse was very thorough during the eye exam, although I was a nervous wreck. I’m usually anxious during any health-​related visits! However, the exam went smoothly and Jessica went beyond customer service brownie points in helping me find the perfect pair of frames.
Definitely a great office, great selection of frames, and great communication!
They have a system that text you to remind/​confirm your appointments (with your approval of course). Super convenient for someone who doesn’t write everything down on a calendar.

The place is really excellent. I like Kroll of course. But what really makes this place good is the office staff. They are professional, they are friendly and they are willing to really work hard to make a customer happy. They work with VSP seamlessly. I’ve gotten safety glasses and regular glasses. My whole family goes here. He does my yearly checks for diabetic issues as well.
Parking can be a little confusing but it’s well worth any trouble.

I have been going to Dr. Kroll for almost 20 years. He’s very knowledgeable and patient, and explains procedures and outcomes clearly and simply. The people in the office are all very nice and attentive. And appointments are kept with minimal waiting. The frame selection isn’t as big as some of the box stores, but neither I nor anyone in my family have ever had an issue finding the style and pricepoint we want.
I’d absolutely recommend Dr. Kroll to any of my friends.

Dr. Kroll has been my optometrist for five years and I have only good things to say. He is knowledgeable and very friendly. The women in the office are very helpful and so, so nice! It’s important to have an honest opinion when picking out glasses, and they have always done a great job of picking out frames that they think will work with my face AND politely telling me when they don’t work! The office has a good selection of frames including Kate Spade, Coach, Calvin Klein, and many more. Overall, not a bad place to visit yearly!
