Took my family to lunch and I was very disappointed to watch the staff walk past 6 dirty tables for over an hour! The pizza was ok not great…

We absolutely love this place! Bartender is always really friendly, live music on Tuesday nights is fun, and the pizza is absolutely delicious. Love the buffalo chicken pizza, fun to try something new. Only thing I wish is that the thin crust was a little thinner… But, Lamppost is still our go to for pizza cravings!

Not impressed with the cost or size of the personal pizza gluten free. 1 small and 1 personal pizza cost me nearly $ 40.

Having a daughter with food allergies makes it a real challenge to find places to go out and eat. Their gluten free pizza is amazing, according to my daughter, and my wife and I always enjoy the Whole Nine Yards. We’ve recently taken to dining there on Tuesdays for the AYCE Spaghetti. Again, they have figured out how to make PERFECT gluten free pasta(makes my wife jealous) and their meat sauce is AWESOME! If you feel like a splurge, try the Cobb Salad(fresh bacon on top — YUM!) or the Cinnamon Knots for dessert(not on the menu, but delicious nonetheless. I agree that there are more affordable pizzas around, but it’s nice to support local owners who have been good to our community. Bring your Val Pak coupon, and it’s pretty much in line with the other guys.

Have to give 5 stars for the gluten free pizza here! It is AMAZING, easily the best GF pizza I’ve found anywhere in Reno. It is so good that we at first suspected they may have messed up our order and given us regular crust! But after eating it a bunch of times and feeling great after, I am confident it’s truly gluten free. They are a little pricey overall, and have a tendency to mess up orders sometimes, but the pizza sure is delicious. Especially if you’re in the market for gluten free, definitely give them a try.

Disappointing. Every time I go here they get something wrong. They can offer as much free stuff or refunds but it doesn’t change the fact that they suck at what they do. The staff is always oblivious to what’s going on and they never know what they’re doing. They should definitely hire older people or just smarter people. The food is good but overpriced. I prefer Little Caesars. If they’re going to charge a stupid amount of money for their pizza they should at least offer good customer service!

Just not getting it… and I have tried. Third time trying Lampost because it is close to home and I keep thinking it will get better… but it doesn’t. I have tried lunch and dinner and neither impress. Last night we stopped in after a basketball game wanting a fresh pizza. We walked into total chaos with kids running around everywhere. This does not bother me because I expect parties and such with kids, I only mention it for people who do not like this kind of atmosphere. Next we went to place our order at the counter. Two employees at the counter having a conversation let us stand there for two minutes while they continued to have their talk. After placing our order for a salad and pizza we went to find a clean table(not easy). We sat down and my hubby went to find someone to wipe the table down. When he found her she asked him, «which table do you want me to clean, the one you are sitting at?» They did come and clean the table. We had a few other customer service issues but I will say it wasn’t like the servers were trying to be rude it was more like they weren’t trained. However it is like this whenever we visit. Our pizza did arrive in a timely manner but it was burned slightly. Honestly it didn’t have much taste. We didn’t want to wait any longer so we ate it and left. Like I said their proximity makes it a great place to eat but there are so many great pie shops in Reno that seem to have it down. I hate to give two stars but unfortunately this has been our experience every time.

Ordered 2 pizzas and chicken wings and extra ranch for delivery and the girl on the phone said it would it 45 min, we said ok and thank you. An hour and a half goes by and nothing yet so we called and she said he’s about to be at your house, 10 min later the driver knocks on the door. He grabs 2 boxes… wait where are the wings I ordered? He said ummm I can go back and grab you some, I said no thanks I’ll call and have them taken off the card we used and then tipped him. When I get into my kitchen and open the first pizza it’s ALL on one side of the box and both were cold like they were sitting in the drivers car for a hour. When I called to let them know the girl wasn’t to friendly and said well She cut that pizza and it was fine when it left here… Don’t waste your time and money! This is the second time I’ve tried this place and both times were horrible.

When you take your family out for pizza on a Saturday night at 7 p.m., and you walk into a nearly empty pizza place, you should start to wonder«what’s up». Lampost Pizza serves a very mediocre, over priced pizza. We ordered two small pizzas that were almost $ 20.00 each. $ 20.00 for a small pizza??? Dominos, Pizza Hut, and Round Table can all beat this price and taste the same, or better. We were very disappointed, and realized why Lampost Pizza was almost empty on a Saturday night after tasting their pizza. We are done with Lampost Pizza.

Good pizza but just as good as round table. The difference is lamppost costs 20 more for a xl pizza and it’s smaller. And I got sick afterwards.

This is my second review for Lampost and … another major delay in getting my order. What’s going on? Completely unacceptable. Normally I would give this place 4 stars but today, not happy at all. I called in my order 1.5 hours early(2 pizzas and potato skins), my order was not ready at 5:30 like I requested. In fact, as long as I waited, I’m assuming my order was completely forgotten about until I got there and the lady who took my money started asking about the pizza. As it was, the pizzas(mostly the taco pizza which I was so looking forward to) looked terrible, barely had any ingredients at all! I inquired about the potato skins, was told after 20 min of waiting for my pizza, that the skins were not even prepared yet so yes… refund. I usually love this place but today I had to write a review because of my poor experience. I don’t know if it was because most people looked high school/20 yrs and couldn’t keep up with the fast pace or perhaps it was extra busy but not even starting my order till I got there was enough to piss me off. I don’t care about the $ 5 off gift card I was given, I’m not going back…

I have held several Breakthrough Network business mixers at Lamppost for an annual Pizza & Beer event. We always have over 100 business people in attendance. The owners take good care of us and provide great service as well as making lots of pizzas for all of our guests to enjoy.

I have been dining at Lamppost Pizza regularly for many years, it is a great place to bring family and meet up with friends. The quality of the food is outstanding and there are often new menu items or off menu specialty pizzas that can be ordered. The twice baked hot wings are the best around especially if you don’t like sticky or oily hot wings. A wintertime favorite is the sausage soup which comes with garlic bread. I recommend the bowl size. I judge a business by the quality of food, price and service. Depending on my mood, depends on the order in which I judge. On a few occasions my order was mixed up, this is where service matters and I have been impressed with how the managers resolve the issue. Prices are average and reasonable. There are coupons in the mail every now and again that are useful and sometimes specials. The food is great… pizzas, pasta, appetizers, salads. The service is pretty decent depending on how busy they are, and the bar service quick and of decent quality. Overall, not a bad place to hang out for a while to relax and enjoy having someone else prepare a meal for you!

We live in the neighborhood and usually visit lamppost when we feel like pizza. Friday night we were on our way home & ordered pizza & garlic bread to be delivered. Knowing it was a Friday night it would probably be over an hour. Not only was it well over an hour but when it arrived the delivery person was rude dropped the ranch cups on the ground no biggie except the ranch lids came off & he put it back on & handed to me. The pizza was cold & rubbery. We had to warm it up in the microwave which changes your pizza from baked to nuked. Definitely is going downhill & would not recommend, especially for over $ 30.

I’ve been here a few times because they serve a descent gluten free pizza. I warn though, gluten free or not, expect a wait. My most recent experience has caused me to hit a breaking point. Knowing they take awhile, I called ahead my order. I get there and pay, they tell me it will be ready in 12 minutes, I sit down and patiently wait. 35 minutes later, I’m done being patient. I understand that pizza can take awhile, especially gluten free, but never should it take 50 minutes for a pick up order. They bring it out to me and it’s barely warm. I live 40 minutes away so by the time I got home it was cold. I sat right there the whole time and not a single employee thought to check on my order for me. If you feel like spending $ 28 to test your patience and eat cold pizza, then lamppost is the place for you.

I’ll start off by saying that I probably would have given this place two stars if they didn’t do such a good job at guest recovery. I’ve driven by this place a number of times but never stopped in to try it. But, after a pizza craving struck and the location was seemingly convenient to get my fix, we decided to give it a whirl. Upon entry, I could sense it was similar to a Godfather’s pizza that I celebrated many team parties and birthdays in as a kid — large booths for groups, an arcade for the kids(which were populated in plenty while there), and of course the arcade… Errrr bar… For adults. The place was busy, but not packed, which made me think there was no excuse for the tables remaining dirty from exiting guests for as long as they did. I appreciated the variety of pizzas offered, as well as toppings that don’t exist in too many other places for a build-your-own. There’s also an option to get whole wheat crust, which was nice. We went with a half Mediterranean pizza, half Perfect Game with pepperoni. We also ordered jalapeño poppers. After we ordered at the counter, we were told it would probably be 30 minutes for our pizza. We asked if we could get the jalapeño poppers when they were ready, and were told that’d be about ten minutes. So, we went to the bar(which is separate from where you order food even though there’s a variety of taps behind the food counter.) Beer variety and price was very reasonable — paid $ 9 total for a Blue Moon and a Stella on tap. About ten minutes later, our jalapeño poppers came out. They were made with cheddar instead of cream cheese(menu doesn’t describe this so was a little surprised based on assumption). They weren’t bad, but also weren’t cooked long enough and some of the bigger ones were luke warm and not melted in the center. So about 20 minutes later, we noticed a party that arrived after we did got their pizza first. Seemingly, about ten minutes after that, the party realized one of the pizzas they got, was not theirs. The staff worked it out with that party, and we overheard one employee telling the other that they needed to come talk to us about what happened. Took about ten minutes for someone to finally come over and explain the situation. While we were at this point, starving, we appreciated the immediate recovery in the form of a full refund, gift cards for a future visit, and a pizza that would take about another 15 minutes to make. It was about 70 minutes after we walked in that we finally got our pizza, which was in fact, pretty decent pizza. They did forget to put the feta on top of the Mediterranean so we had to go back and ask for that. Traditional crust is buttery and smooth. Toppings weigh it down so you have to eat with a fork and knife, and if it weren’t for the experience we had as a whole, it would have been nothing to write Unilocal about.

Our Friday night dinner was outstanding for a few reasons. 1. The Greek salad was substantial and fresh 2. The pizza had ample toppings(thanks Adam!) 3. The bartender(Adam again) puts on the Hall and Oates Pandora station, which has been shown in studies to improve enjoyment by up to 84%! Thanks Lampost, and Adam in particular for the excellent service!

I don’t have kids… So this place was not my favorite. I have been here a dew times… And was never impressed. Mediocre food and a ton of kids. The place could use a good cleaning. If Im in the mood for pizza i would rather head down the street to sierra gold for a happy hour pizza that will knock my socks off :)

Sadly, my first visit to Lamppost will probably be my last. The place was pretty busy for a Wednesday night. A large group was celebrating the end of a season for a bunch of young baseball players. Unfortunately for the employees, that many kids running around means a big ass mess for them to clean up. Aside from the place being messy, another issue was the customer service. When we approached the front counter to order, the fella running the counter was on the phone seemingly taking an order for pickup. Instead of acknowledging us and the group behind us in line with at least a hand gesture, he preceded to keep his head down and take the order. Two other workers passed by without saying anything either. Eventually we ordered and were told it’d be 20 minutes. The pizza was just ok. Toppings were decent, no telling weather they were fresh or not. We ordered a medium specialty pizza and a medium pepperoni pizza. The specialty was half garlic chicken and half linebacker(all meat). The specialty slices were not too bad, but the pepperoni pizza had a thick layer of grease on top. I know pizza is greasy but why in the world would the pepperoni pizza be more greasy than the all meat? Oh well. We also ordered an order of garlic knots($ 4.95) which are not listed on the menu on the wall. Unfortunately, they severely lacked any real garlic flavor. There were definitely no chunks of fresh garlic. They must just use garlic salt or powder, but were very shy with it on this order. Considering that this place is more than 30 minutes from my house, I don’t think I’ll return. There are too many other good pizza places in between.

I can really only muster up a «meh» about this pizza. We went for lunch. The prices for the lunch specials are reasonable; however, I just didn’t really love the pizza. It was fairly bland. The crust was ok, if a bit thick. The sauce was flavorless. The cheese was… Cheese. I had mushrooms on my slice so at least it tasted like mushrooms. I also had a salad which wasn’t great. There were lots of the white, flavorless«spines» of lettuce leaves. Not wowed. Probably won’t be back.
