Came to Learning Express toys for sons first birthday present. Seen on Unilocal, had good reviews for great customer service and nice selection of toys. Didn’t want to go to toys r us or any big store once found this one based on like I said good reviews. Once arrived greeted by female cashier. After that nothing, I was browsing the store for about ten minutes I’m like ok it’s two people working, I know at least one of them is going to come and say hey u need any help with finding anything or any thing of that nature. It was my first time in the store, I really didn’t know what I was looking for. But after ten minutes of not seeing any of that great customer service that was in the previous reviews I figured I’ll take my business elsewhere(after buying a fire truck and a little puzzle). Even then I didn’t get a «did you find everything ok». Basically I got a Hi, and Bye. I will not be returning. The 2 stars are for the GREAT selection of toys!

Can’t advocate this store enough! The level of customer service here is leaps and bounds above any I have ever experienced! The sales staff has an ideal balance of making recommendations and helping you find what you’re looking for without being pushy. The owner is extremely pleasant and genuine, which makes for an ideal shopping experience. I don’t frequent toy stores that often, but whenever I will do so in the future, Learning Express will be my first stop!

This is an awesome toy store. The employees are always very helpful and friendly. They wrap anything for free. You can come here and place anything your child may want for their birthday in a tub and have it set aside for people to buy, like a registry.

This place is the best. I came here disheveled and burnt-out after burning man. Looking for birthday presents for my niece and nephew, 6 and 8 respectively. A young woman was immediately offering to help me find what I was looking for with absolutely no judgement for my dusty hair and clearly hazed demeanor. After walking us through toy suggestions for a good fifteen minutes, we selected two toys and started to pay. While I was in line, I noticed that the store has a birthday registry system. Kids go into the store, select all the toys they would like for their b-day, and put them in a big tub. Then friends and adults can go in the store for the next few weeks and select items from the tub to purchase. I absolutely LOVED this idea. I live in the bay area, but I am sure I will be back to this toy store some time, it’s that good.

As a hapless bachelor I found Learning Express a great place to get some gifts for a birthday party for a 2-year-old boy. I imagine moms, grandmothers and aunts will LOVE this store. It’s big enough that it has a nice selection of toys but it’s not that obscene We B Toys size. I walked in with some suggestions and they found the toys that fit those suggestions. I bought a truck and a wooden puzzle. They put the toys in a nice gift wrapped bag and put Oliver’s name on the outside. Of course all of this is lost on a 2 year old, but at least I didn’t look clueless to everyone else. He liked the trucks and got jealous when another boy tried to pick them up.
