This is NOT New York Pizza! If you order a slice it looks more like a Sicilian slice, but order a whole pie and you get something completely different. The sauce is bland and the crust is like something I would get at Pizza Hut. It was disgusting and my wife and I will not go here again. Not my cup of tea. I used to live in Troy, NY and I have yet been able to find anything close to I Love NY Pizza! This sure was not it.

I don’t know what happened to this place. two years ago I would have given them a 5 star rating but this is the end of my visit’s to Nu Yalk Pizza. I didn’t mind spending the $ 45 dollars for one small pizza and one medium pizza if it is amazing pizza, sadly I paid $ 45 for burnt to a crisp nasty pizza today. it was so burnt that we could not even eat it. If I was the kind of person that demand my money back for crap I would have but since I am not I am just warning others not to waste their money on a place that is going down hill completely and cutting my ties with this place forever.

I am a huge fan of meatball subs… brings me back to my childhood(who knew)? I love the décor in this place, the fact that they have computers that entertain the kiddos while we wait, and the comfortable steel chairs(that are very misleading by the looks of them, but extremely comfortable), and the openness of the joint. The meatball sub was delish! I’ve had the pizza here a few times as well and have no complaints. The best part — the ranch(I know, right)? Weird to rave about ranch. But good ranch is hard to find. Pair this with one of their good tasting beers to top it off. I will be a loyal customer as long as I don’t go on anymore of my «crazy diets». Maybe they should offer a gluten free, fat free, low calorie, high protein, amazing tasting pizza? My life would be complete.

They have the best pizza in Reno. I usually get an individual slice which is enough for a meal along with a drink for $ 6. Pretty good deal if you ask me! The interior is pretty nice, though you may find it difficult to get a seat at peak time(between 6 and 8 on Fridays). I was waiting 20 minutes before I got a table. Lunchtime is a little easier. If you’re hungry for pizza, I recommend trying here first!

First, go here to eat the best thing they make, pizza by the slice with maximum of one topping. Some people don’t get this, I didn’t the first time, but it’s the real deal. The cracker thin crust is amazing, sauce specifically prepared for this type of pizza and just the right amount of cheese. I’m a fan of everything else on the menu, especially the nice salad, but pizza by the slice is the best thing on the menu. They also have RCCOLA and Dr pepper in the fountain, which I love. Don’t expect this to be pizza hut or your typical grocery store pizza. Those that do, don’t get this place and should go eat somewhere else. The owner doesn’t care and neither should you. Order a slice, drink your beer and go home full and happy.

Hey you local folks have to be kidding. This place is one step above round table. If this place served this crap in nyc they would be thrown in the east river. Go back east and eat real pizza and you may feel the same way. Try true new York pizza in sparks. Closest you’re going to get to the real thing. And you do not put ranch dressing on pizza. Do that in CA where you belong

Great location, pretty good pizza, absolute sh*t staff… I get it youre from nyc youre better than us, but come on the shtick is beyond ridiculous. I will get takeout from here but will not sit in the location. Extremely rude. disinterested staff, I am doing my best to help my father find a new fav pizza spot to watch games at…

Few days late posting this but I was swinging by to get some pizza(duh). Little did I know that they closed at 9p… I got there at 8:58. I go in, figure I’ll just get a slice to go if they had any left. At this time… I’m on one of those knee scooters cause of a surgery and very first thing that was awesome… I was rolling up and the only other customers that were there jumped up to help me with the door, so it’s a great atmosphere with friendly people on all sides. I get up to the counter and order my slice and the guy was super friendly, then he asked if I came«all this way» for just a slice. I hadn’t, but with them closing my plan changed. He wasn’t having that… his response was«No way… hang out, have your beer, relax and eat»! These awesome people stayed open an extra half hour so I could eat there. When my food was ready they carried it out to me so I wouldn’t have to get up again! The pizza was delicious as usual, even with it being so late.

To me this food is heaven on Earth. So simple, yet so good. Crispy, hot, delicious. Cold beer, great prices, and New York memorabilia all around. Watch some local New York news, or ballgames on the TV. Get it by the slice, but only 1 topping per slice! No exceptions. :)

Nu Yalk pizza is located in the Deep South west Reno. If you are traveling on 395 take the South Meadows Parkway exit and go west until you hit South Virginia street. Go north on South Virginia and Nu Yalk is on the east side of the street. I went back to Nu Yalk pizza today for a couple slices and beers with Danielle. Always give a local business a second chance. We both had a Sicilian slice of pizza with sausage that was sliced. Excellent choice! If you want real authentic new your style pizza I highly recommend Nu Yalk!

The last few weeks I’ve found myself running errands close by. Those same nights were quite busy so I was searching for a grab and go dinner. I remembered having their pizza quite awhile back but decided it was time to try again. I ordered a few slices to go. I forgot the enormous size of the slices and did not by any stretch of the imagination need two slices. One would have been plenty. The slices are so big they actually gave me both of them to go in a box lid. The cashier was personable and the space is quite comfortable. There are ample TV’s to entertain you while you wait for dine in or take out. This place is awesome for large groups as the tables stretch the length of the restaurant in most areas. The chairs have a patio furniture vibe to them and aren’t the most comfortable. This wouldn’t be a place I would want to remain for longer than my dining time. When my slices were ready they called my name out. I grabbed my enormous box lid and headed to the car. When I got home I dug into a slice. I have always been one to mop up the grease before taking a bite and I did the same with this. It was still quite warm since they wrapped the box in a tin foil layer. The sauce was nice — flavorful but not layered on so thick you taste nothing but the sauce. The topping(pepperoni) was plentiful. I didn’t feel shorted at all. The cheese amount is perfect. I hate when thin crust pizza(as this is) winds up soaked in sauce and cheese. These slices had a great ratio. The slice I ate immediately was great. I put the other one in a bag, warmed it for a second or two in the microwave and then put it in the toaster oven. This one was also great. A true sign of delicious pizza is the fact it reheats and tastes delicious. I may actually like this place the day after more also. If you like thin crust pizza that isn’t overwhelmed by sauce and cheese, give this place a shot. Just remember — the slices are HUGE!

I’ve had a few friends recommend this place and I must say… it’s the most delicious pizza I have ever had. I now compare all my pizzas to this place when out eating… and nothing is as good as nu talk. The staff is friendly.sarcastic.but funny.(Definitely a New York attitude/vibe) and I really enjoy listening to them talk to each other. Lol I love this place. I wish I could get it mailed to me since I don’t live close enough to get it consistently. which is probably a good thing for my diet :(

The pizza reminds me of NYC pizza! We have been here a few times and had both slices and a whole pie, either way you can’t go wrong. The slices are huge! The customer is chewy, but crisp in the bottom a nice yeasty taste. The toppings are generous and the sausage and meatballs are delicious all by themselves. Speaking of the meatballs, we ordered a side dish of them for under $ 3. Two medium sized balls smothered is the most amazing marinara. Seriously, your Italian grandfather would love. They we will ask if you want cheese when you pick them up, yes! Covered in fresh grated mozzarella, let it sit a minute and it melts over everything. They have craft beer on draft and wine on tap with happy hour discounts. Where in town can you get a pitcher of a premium stout(not flavorless Guinness) for under $ 13? Nowhere but here! Lastly the canoli, I would order this first. The shell is crunchy as it is filled when ordered with a delicious ricotta custard cream and loads of mini chocolate chips on the ends. We have eaten canoli in Little Italy in NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. This one reminds us so much of NYC. It is a must have. The atmosphere here is fun, tvs, computer games for the kids big and small, friendly staff. Definitely a must try!

The problem is the sauce. The crust is adequately textured, but it does not really taste like anything, and the goop on the top is just like any other goop on a pizza(I would not call this one«pie». But those who know pizza will tell you that the flavor is carried in the sauce, and this one is bland. Not spread-a-can-of-tomato-paste bland(which tastes like the steel container). This sauce kinda tastes kinda like air. You know: like nothing. If they can put more effort into getting the sauce right(bursting with flavor, as the crust and the toppings can overpower the sauce), they will have a winner.

If you like thin crust New York style pizza this is, without a doubt, the best pizza place in Reno. The toppings are all fresh(and they pile them on), the sauce is amazing and the crust is good enough to eat by itself. Not only are their pizzas second to none but so is the staff. The guys(and girls) that work here are all awesome and really add to the quality of the restaurant. The new building is beautiful and spacious though I’m not a fan of the new chairs. If you don’t like Nu Yalk Pizza you don’t like pizza.

Ok I’ve been coming to Nu Yalk pizza since I was a kid, back when they where at there old location. I just started going to this new one and only buy 1 or 2 slices. But it’s not the same so today I bought three of there frozen pizza’s with pepperoni and sausage, he started to give me the sausage and it was the one that is like little ball’s so I asked why are they not give me the slices he told me I have to request them but he did change it for the one I wanted. so if you go, ask for the good kind of sausage. It was cheap for all that I got if you buy 3 or more you get a better price. so I got three and 2 of each toppings pepperoni and sausage took it home and made it my self it came out better then when they cook it had more flavor and cheaper for three frozen pizza it was $ 13 not bad will go again but just buy the frozen pizza.

This is a rare treat for me. I do love pizza, but of course my jeans do not. LOL. the staff is always friendly, and happy to answer any questions that I have. I usually go for the single slice of pizza(one topping included) with pepporoni because it’s a great deal at $ 3.50 for the slice. It is a really big slice of thin crust and the sauce is amazing. If you want to booze it up, yes, they have wine on tap! want to play on the computer. yes, they have those too!

Had this craving for a ooey gooey pizza with just they right amount of sauce. Stopped in since it was convenient to the grocery shopping I just finished. After the lunch rush… The place was clean! The heater was on a bit to high for my taste and it appears for everyone else, who were shedding their jackets as well. Very modern crisp eating area. You could stand at the counter and watch them make your food if you wanted or take a seat and either use their free wifi, watch a hockey game or what appears to play video games on their station that had computers set p. Ordered a single slice to eat while waiting for th real pie! It did not leave a lasting impression for me. Tough crust… Slightly burned. Mushrooms with were the topping were in the center of the slice and just out on top. It was warm, but lacking any flavor or cheese. Now the beer was cold and definitely the highlight! Took a small pizza home with 2 toppings. Smelling it the entire drive home tempts me to open it and eat a piece as soon as I got in the house… Much better !!! Crust was chewy… Sauce evenly spread. Cheese was p Pulling against my teeth and the sausage was in big chunks so you could taste it! Definitely better than the single slice.
