You really might want to skip this place. I had some major headaches. First off the dentist was just quite a tad condescending to females, even to his own staff right in front of the customers. Second off I was sent a bill after I had paid my share AND my insurance had also paid. No balance left over for them, yet they wanted me to pay them off twice. Is it fair for them to try to rip me off? Thirdly, I had an appointment for a simple cleaning. I was told the hygenist was running late could I come back another day? I was miffed said no way I’ll just wait. The surly yet scantily clad receptionist acted like this was no big deal. Hold on a sec so let me get this right, I’M expected to cancel with in 48 hours, this is a commen courtesy that some dentists will even charge you for if you do not give adequate notice, some 50 $ per expected hour of your appointment! More the disparity that just because the hygenists running late then my appointment can be cancelled while I’m sitting in the waiting room? Waiting thirty minutes past my scheduled appointment? I wouldn’t have minded a ten or even 15 minute lag as long as it was acknowledged as their fault! No apologies were given. Fourthly, though he worked fast and seemed thorough with the filling. I have had reoccurring toothaches thst I thought would go away after a week or two, but which has lasted for months. I could not believe the gall of this places employees. Quite the cast of charecters the Dentist has hired to represent his business is all I gotta say. A waste of my time and money. The Dentists has what I percieved as a bourgeois attitude with his(almost) in exclusive South Reno location. This fact alone has no bearing on him being a good or even decent dentist. He also has used a publicist for his social media which has fake reviews and positive feedback thats been bought. I found this out myself by looking at his YOU Tube channel. He is NOT the worst dentist I’d been to in Reno but thats not saying much. A lot of quacks here. He’s not quite the Dentist played in Steve Martin’s iconic role, still he’s close enough, so keep on looking.

The entire staff here and of course Dr Homanfar are beyond excellent. Dr Ramin really listens to your concerns, and chooses the right treatment based on your individual needs. From the beginning of appointment process with Patricia to interaction with The Assistant Heather, the entire experience is a breeze. Heather knows so many tricks to distract the patient, that even the worst procedures are no big deal. Thanks Heather for being such a sweet person. I really appreciate your approach while I was treated there. I also loved the cleanliness of the office and the background music. The views from their office windows are really beautiful as well. I will try to cover all the areas of concern that people may have when they are considering switching to a new dentist. To start off, I highly recommend Dr. Homanfar. I recently switched to him and this is my personal experience: The staff is fabulous and very friendly — This includes the front desk people, hygienist, assistants, and Dr. Homanfar. Everyone is kind and helpful. They don’t make you feel like an inconvenience when you request to change appointments. In my initial appointment, Dr. Homanfar took his time with me and really listened to my concerns. My previous dentist said I had a cracked tooth and wanted to grind it down and put a crown on it. Dr. Homanfar saved my tooth and he only replaced the old filling. It went great and I’ve had no problems or pain! He is a conservative dentist in that he tries to keep your original teeth whenever possible. I especially appreciated Dr. Homanfar’s care to remove all the old mercury fillings from my teeth. During the removal, he took extra measures to protect me(and his staff) from the vapors. As far as pain, the numbing shots were almost painless. During the entire procedure, Dr. Homanfar asked me several times if I was doing alright and wanted to ensure I was feeling no pain. I never did feel any pain. Also, my new fillings are great! My teeth aren’t sensitive to cold and my bite is perfect. The billing process went smoothly. The front desk staff told me, upfront, what my costs would be and there were no discrepancies or problems. The office waiting room and procedure areas are neat, clean, sanitary, and have a great atmosphere. I have had several appointments now and I have never had to wait longer than my appointment time.
