Cindy Dosh (not to be confused with the other Cindy on Unilocal) has been doing my nails and bikini wax for decades. I am so dedicated that I’ve followed her all over town! The receptionist is extremely professional and I love the reminder calls the day before the appoint because frankly, I still would manage to forget if they didn’t call me even though it is in my phone.
Cindy’s pedicures rival those of big cities for a fraction of the cost. She is not like some chop shop where they file the heck out of the callouses, cut your cuticles and skin and slap on cheap polish. She is methodical in her callous removal, takes time to cut the cuticles properly, and puts on a great polish. Those toes are glamorous for weeks! Did I mention the the foot massage, divine. While the ambiance is not like a spa, no sense in paying more than you have to just so you can have dim lights.
Waxing — I used to live in the DC area and I could never get a bikini wax like Cindy does it. I like the hard wax method as strips are danger for me. She gets in, gets the job done and you are out, all while avoiding the typical fast freddy strip waxing. Do yourself a favor and experience the hard wax method, it is so much kinder to your body.

**THEY DON’T EVEN DESERVE A 1 STAR**
My friend went to this salon yesterday and used a gift card that was $ 180 to get purple highlights… picture she showed us was beautiful… Her hair looks nothing like the picture, it doesn’t even fckn have purple in it… on top of that FCKN CINDY charged her an extra $ 50 which totaled to $ 230 for orange highlights with a hint of brown… NOTHING THAT SHE WANTED… instead of the stylist recommending her to another stylist because she didn’t feel comfortable doing the purple she made up her own color scheme. DO NOT GO TO CINDY…

So I’ve been coming here for about a year. Karin Marwin was recommended to me by a friend and she’s great. It takes time to find the person who gives you just the right cut. I found that person in Karin. Yeah!
But in the year that I’ve been coming here, I never noticed two very obvious nail salon stations. I asked Karin for a recommendation and while she said both were great, she used Cindy. So I made an appointment with Cindy and she gave me a great gel manicure. Next visit spa pedicure and gel manicure. On my last visit we were talking and she said, I know I know you. We chatted awhile about people only to find, I did use her 13 years ago. In fact, just a few days earlier my sister and my niece were talking about her. Wondering where she was. Lo and behold, I actually found her without even knowing it. Found a great hair stylist and re-​found a great manicurist, both in the same location.
I highly recommend both Karin Marwin and Cindy Thomas. I am a happy camper!!!

Update– Called Tuesday, 9 – 15, and spoke with Cindy directly about canceling my wife’s appointment for Wednesday. Told her it was due to her not honoring the Groupon and adding on a fee, and hung up. Cindy then proceeded to call me back 3 times in about 15 minutes, and when I did answer, she gave her side, to which I simply said «the appointment is canceled», and again, hung up. Because of this, I called back, spoke with Sally, who informed me that the owner, Mary Ann, wanted to talk with me about this. Mary Ann called me today, and in short, I feel we have the issue resolved. I truly appreciated Mary Ann’s time, and feel much better about her salon, though less about Cindy.

From the day before the appointment when the receptionist calls to confirm the appointment, the greeting when you arrive, sitting down in the stylist chair all the way to the check out, the service is impeccable. Our stylist, Kim not only colors and styles my hair (beautifully I might add) but she also is fantastic at giving everyone in my VERY picky family exactly what they want. My youngest wants an athletic fade, oldest wants a long and shaggy «cool» cut and the husband wants something new with the season. She rolls with the wants and makes them happen! Thanks Rhapsody!

Do not buy the groupon for Cindy Graham… It states ‘all over color’ but she claims that just means a touch up and then wants to charge $ 30 more for all over color… I’ve never paid $ 90 for a cut and color… Complete rip off!!!

I have received the WORST haircut I have ever had in my entire life from Cindy Graham. Do not buy her Groupon for $ 30 (haircut, conditioning treatment, and style), because you will regretfully get what you paid for (the $ 30 NOT the $ 110 value).
She started by washing my hair and carelessly spraying water all over my face, so right then and there I was completely dumbfounded of how unprofessional this experience already was. We then had a consultation about what kind of haircut I wanted done. I don’t think I could have been anymore specific than I was and she completely ignored the fact that I only wanted 1.5 inches cut off. She took off about 5 inches!!! And the fact that she had me so low sitting in the chair where I couldn’t even see into the mirror infuriates me. As soon as she was done and I ran my fingers through my hair I was in complete utter shock. She cut off all my long beautiful hair into a CHOPPY, UNEVEN MESS! Then I got my hair blow dried into my face and a style that couldn’t even help improve the awful haircut.
I am still in shock of how UNPLEASANT and UNPROFESSIONAL this experience was. She seemed to be in a very big hurry to get me in and out of her chair instead of treating me like a potential returning customer. Do not trust her «25+ year experience», because this woman shouldn’t even have a license… probably why she needs to bring in clientele with Groupon. If you’re planning on saving a couple dollars you can forget about that, because you will be spending more on fixing her errors.

Been going here for years… no matter the hair color or the cut, Kim takes good care of me and trust me, I’ve tested her boundaries. They have decent prices and are very hospitable. They have an older clientele but can cater to the young and edgy too.

My stylist, Kim Delong, and I have been friends for twenty years. She’s been my stylist for six of those twenty. Kim is beyond efficient, sometimes TOO efficient for her own good.
Her hours vary, at the same time, she’ll take on two, sometimes three clients at a time, JUST to get things done. Kim is one of THE hardest working stylists in Northern Nevada. She’s an MVP candidate for any salon. I’m glad she’s here.
Hair isn’t the only thing done here. There’s an esthetician, and a few women who do nails as well.
