Wandered in with some time to kill downtown the other Saturday night. They had a sidewalk sign with a sangria special so we poked in. They were out of the sangria(a busy wine-walk night, it seems) so we shared a well-made mojito(their specialty as some say). It was pretty bright in there, the TV was going, and there were only a couple other groups plus a wasted regular hitting on another patron in a harmless but obnoxious way at the bar. The bartender was nice and we talked movies for a minute but she started getting rowdy with the ol’ regular and soon both were playfully cursing at a loud volume. A patron doing that a bar like this is par for the course, but I expect a bartender to keep their shit together. Our drink finished, we walked out.

Se7en at 148 West Street Reno, NV89501 Well there has to be a first for everything and this is my first«1 Star». This Bar«SUCK’S». We were in a group of 30 during the Super Hero’s Crawl having a Blast going from bar to bar when we went into Se7en. The place was fully lighted, no music playing, no specials, it was D.E.A.D. So our group turned around and started to walk out when the bartender/owner I guess said«where the Fu@k are you going» We replied«This place is dead!!! No music, and it’s too bright in here» He replied«Wait, sit the Fu@k down, I’ll turn the lights down» A few of our group order some drinks. Most of our group thought the guy was totally rude and waited for them outside. When the few that had a drink joined the rest of us outside, they said that the drinks were crappy and not worth the half price he charged them. Save your money and avoid this place.

I used to LOVE this place, the owners were usually always in and they had the best mojitos ever! They always had fresh fruit for the mojitos and the service was outstanding! However, the last two times I’ve been in, both on weekend days, the service has been horrible. The same guy has bartended both times and he is so unfriendly. The last time I was in, it was during wine walk and it was packed, yet the bartender felt it was more necessary to chat with his friends than serve guests. This time I went in, it was slow, but he still was as unfriendly as before. It’s really sad because I used to love this place, but I won’t be coming anymore. There’s plenty of better bars in Reno. And I’m also really sad about the fresh fruit for the mojitos that they don’t have anymore.

We love Seven for their fresh fruit delicious drinks and laid back atmosphere. They are dog friendly and always have amazing drink specials with real muddled fruit. Mi Thai is a wonderful host and everyone she hires here is also great. Plus, you can walk to any of the other yummy restaurants here and grab a bite to eat.

Good drinks and good prices. I went to a charity event here and had a great time. My husband loved their Rum & Cokes and I loved there spunky fun staff. Great place to go to have a good time.

This place sucks, (almost) EVERY time I try stopping by this place to give them a try it’s always something that is a complete turn off. This last stop I was there to see an event in the big room. Started off simple enough, got my beer. Well this girl puts a pint in front of me that is a FULL inch+ below the rim! No foam, no head, just a fucking massive short pour. 10 ounces at the most,(try it sometime in a pint glass you will be surprised) I usually just say nothing, but this was ridiculous. I politely ask if she could top it off? She says«I’ll try», really? is this some huge difficulty you’re about to embark on? a quest of sorts? In a split second, and a half step to the right, I have a proper beer. Well I guess I was blacklisted for my egregious expectation to have a pint of beer with more than 10 ounces in it. No more service for me,.just walked on by. during a break in the event the bar filled up with people that had been seated, I had thought that would get me in the attention rotation, but no joy. She actually put more work into ignoring me and not making eye contact, than just asking me if I want another. Look, you spoiled brat, you were wrong, I was polite, stop pouting and acting like I told you your hair looked like shit. Too many hipsters to chat with at the far end of the bar. After 15 minutes with an empty beer it was clear that unless I called her in I was going to be snubbed. It did not really matter from a thirst standpoint, as I was on the fence about having another beer before calling it a night. Funny thing is I had not paid yet, after a while I just put 4 bucks under my empty glass and left, I did not care if it was enough or not, she was lucky I’m not one to just walk out. Probably pocketed it all anyway. –On a previous wine walk visit I sat at the bar and asked for a «Pint» what I got was a plastic cup 10 – 11 ounce, Pint price. I looked at the guy and said I’m drinking here, not«to go». I was after a glass(other people at the bar had glass, so it was not like some places that pull the glass for events) He assures me it’s the same quantity of beer, I ask him to humor me, we pour it into the pint and its more than an inch low… *apply stupid look to bartenders face* He then starts on some disjointed rambling about in this economy people will pay any price for beer because they are depressed… WTF??? shut up you fucking idiot… now you are going to attempt to give me an economics lesson??? WTF. I got a lesson for you, in any economy people don’t like being ripped off. –I will skip the other 2 similar stories. I always feel like they are sneaky and trying to pull a fast one, when I go in here, or just ignorant and lazy. This place blows. It starts at the top, I have gotten the same from the owner.

Se7en Classic Mojito 5 – 8 Fresh Mint leaves 2 lime wedges ½ oz Simple Syrup 1 ½ oz Bacardi Light Rum Soda Water Reminiscent of summer with its fresh squeezed limeade and hint of mint flavor, a well-made Mojito is always appreciated. They are often available in a variety of fruit flavors, but the original version of this Cuban classic is unsurpassed. Master Mojito muddler Vada Thai mixes this time honored recipe for only $ 4.00 at Se7en on West.

BESTSANGRIA I’VEEVERHADINMYLIFE! I have no idea what they put in it(nor would they tell me), but trust me, it is damn good! I don’t know how much it normally costs, but we stopped here during the Reno Wine Walk and they were filling up the wine glasses for $ 1. Personally, I would have rather put my $ 20 to 20 glasses of sangria. Very spacious area in the back of the West Street Market that doubles as a tea bar and lounge(with a full bar). If I lived in Reno, I imagine myself frequenting this place for tea(and alcohol).
