I recently took my Baby Lock sewing machine in for repair at Sew-n-Such for the first time. Having had a bad experience at another sewing shop, I was reluctant to entrust my machine to yet another repairperson. Shop owner Joanne was so sweet, understanding my worries and assuring me that her repair person, George, was a certified Baby Lock repairman. I’ve since picked up my machine and it runs like new! As I hadn’t been to the new Sew-n– Such store location(just a couple of stores west of the old location in Franktown Corners), I took a moment to look around. Joanne has three cozy rooms with every sewing supply you could possibly need(I bought a new walking foot) and gorgeous fabric to boot. I love the individual attention this local shop owner can give and the overall warm feeling of the store. I half expect to see a little table with a pot of tea and cookies tucked into a corner this Fall and Winter. It’s just that cute! I’ve put Sew ‘n Such on my list of locally owned shops to support because of the variety of merchandise, the interesting displays, and the individual attention.

Rude, unhelpful people run this store. I will not be bringing my hard earned money here ever again. This is the second time coming to this store and I am still not impressed. I called ahead to make sure the store had a piece for my serger and they told me they could match it if I would bring it in. Little did I know she only want the broken piece to «match» it. I brought the entire machine and she scoffed and told me to take the piece out. I attempted but had a hard time removing the piece and she explained she couldn’t help at all. She told me to go where I bought the machine, and I explained I got a deal online for it and she just scoffed. What a rude old lady. I asked for a few needles for the machine and she told me to just go somewhere else or have my husband fix it. Rude. I don’t understand how she is in business. Don’t waste your money. This place is even worse than Joann’s. That place will at least attempt to help you.

I wouldn’t recommend this place, esp when you have much better options in town such as Sierra Sewing Center to serve you with far FRIENDLIER people… I was so disappointed in the offish/rude demeanor of the person working.

It’s a small local quilt shop that is also a Baby Lock dealer. Not a great variety of fabrics, but what she does have is very nice and not too pricey for a small business. The owner was not very helpful with buying a machine. I went in to look at one quilting machine… she took me over to it and after telling me the price, and me choking on said price, her attitude chilled and I was«beneath» her bother now. Ended with a go look at your other machines and then come back. Yeah right. Sierra Sewing Center’s machine lady was great. Test drove lots of machines, some in my range others not. But they came down in price. The same baby lock was $ 600 cheaper than Sew-N-Such. Windy Moon Quilts had the same BL, but as the Brother, for $ 1000 cheaper. These shops are bigger, better variety, great friendly people!

This is a great sewing store with high-quality fabric and fun classes. They also have a sewing machine service that’s great. I have brought in all four of my machines and all have come back sewing like new(one even sewed better than new!). The amount of fabric is a little limited compared to other stores and the prices of notions are a little high, but the personal service and local(non-chain) feel to it makes it worth paying a little more.

This a great little store. They have sewing classes from novice to advance. The classes are once a week for 2 hours and they are about 3 – 4 weeks long. Class size can be small(my first class had only 3 people) to larger my class tonight is supposed to have 6. They have everything you need to start sewing. The prices are a little higher than you might find at other sewing stores but this is a local place so I don’t mind spending a little more. My teacher was great and didn’t make me feel like an idiot when I jacked my pattern up. She joked with us and made us all feel comfortable in class. The class is 45.00 plus supplies. I can’t wait to go back for my second class.
