Sierra Nevada Chocolate

We stopped on a whim today. I’m so glad we did! This place is cozy, and the guy working there was really nice. We bought a small bar of fudge, and a chocolate lemon truffle. Both were amazing. I could not make up my mind what flavor to get, because they have so many to choose from. I’m hoping to stop by again before we leave town!

Truffles, candy bark, and caramel apples, oh my! This place is exquisite! I first came to know Sierra Nevada Chocolate at their booth set-​up present for the Diva’s Day Out yearly event put on by GSR. I purchased a caramel apple, 4 piece box of assorted truffles, and a 4 piece box of wine truffles. I couldn’t wait to get out to my car, so I could sample one of these beauties and oh wow, they were everything and more than I expected! I gave my husband the caramel apple, and he had it devoured in 5 mins flat! I decided to go to the shop the next day to check it out and replenish my stash. Upon arrival, I was faced with a huge white case filled with a vast variety of flavored truffles. Some of my favorites are the cheesecake, strawberry, coconut, pistachio, peanut butter, marshmallow, and butterfinger! Their wine truffles are divine also, several different tasty morsels flavored with different kinds of wine and topped with sparkly edible glitter! The peanut butter and marshmallow cups are out of this world and if you’re looking for something new to try, I suggest the chocolate covered bacon, a nice blend of salty and sweet to satisfy your cravings! Whether your out and about driving by or maybe visiting their sister store, Chocolate Walrus, next door, you will be pleased with yummy goodies and a smile to start your day!

Came here pick up some chocolates to take to work, and I was so impressed. The chocolates are great the people working here were so nice and did such a great job putting something together for me.

They have the tastiest chocolate in Reno!

I never give fives! This place deserves it though. Every time I stop in they are so friendly and helpful. They give you samples, and their chocolate is delicious. They have so many creative choices which of course everything the dream up and make in house. This place has saved me more than once in a pinch to make Valentine’s Day or any special occasion all the more special. Super stylish perfect chocolate shoppe in a perfect area. Stop by and treat yourself and your lovey dovey. Sorry, no photos I ate them without a moments delay. I’ll add some next time.

These chocolates are simply divine. The shop is artsy, the candies are beautifully designed and absolutely melt in your mouth. I will be giving these as gifts. Wonderful!

Don’t let the old time-​y wooden sign out front confuse you (nor, the Chocolate Walrus shop just nearby — that is NOT the sweets shop you are looking for!). Sierra Nevada Chocolate has excellent products with top-​notch flavour. I have purchased their truffles of several occasions now, and have a particular fondness for the peanut butter flavour. They will package them up for you for an inexpensive, sweet hostess gift. They are really delicious! I do think that the co. could work on its overall design/​image, though. The decoration of the truffles are a bit clunky (a squirt of green icing to denote mint, etc), and they just don’t look as chic as they actually taste. Maybe that’s part of their homemade charm, but I’d prefer a more polished product.

Stopped in the other day with my sister. As a local I was surprised I hadn’t been in sooner! Unique, little shop with plenty of chocolate goodies to choose from. I got a sampling of different truffles and some oreo bark. There had to be at least 10 different barks to choose from! The guys were friendly and the chocolate was great!

Very interesting and unique truffles and more chocolate options. Great chocolate and you can tell that some thought was put into crafting the recipie. I tried the champagne truffle and split it with my friend. It was far too sweet to eat the whole thing. Had an interesting flavor, but too much for me. They would’ve earned one more star if they had samples, but I also didn’t ask, so maybe they do.

I went to Sierra Nevada Chocolate to get my dessert for my wedding that was in Tahoe in February. We were flying into Reno and in a time crunch so we just Googled chocolate places in Reno and found this little shop. My husband and I do not like cake and it was very important for us to get something that we both liked. I called the owner a few months before and she told me she could put something together for me. We ended up with various flavors of cake pops, chocolate covered strawberries and truffles all for a very reasonable price. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this place to anyone for a wedding or any event where you need some delish dessert.

A very small chocolate store with plenty of choices from Truffles to different bars. Décor inside was very clean but seemed very antique. The gentleman who helped us out was very nice and outgoing. I personally didn’t get anything from this place but my friend who did said that the truffles that he bought were pretty good.

Excellent handmade truffles will make you wonder why you ever liked See’s.
The confections are delicious and visually stunning. Since everything in the store is handmade, it is quite unique too.
These chocolates are a gift that wows. Or, just eat them yourself.
I also love their exotic soda collection.

Sierra Nevada Chocolate has the yummiest chocolate I have ever sunk my teeth into! At $ 1.50/piece, I guarantee you will get a tastier treat than See’s. The candies are beautifully decorated. My favorite are the sparkly chocolates (mint and ginger I believe). The chocolates are silky and melt in the most glorious way. I used a Living Social coupon, but they have me hooked now and I will definitely be back!

I don’t know what it is, but that place has the most delicious chocolate I have ever tasted in my life. The employees are very helpful. They have so many varieties of candy, all hand made right there. Five Stars!!!
