Smithridge Dry Cleaners

This place is ok and since i live in South Reno I usually bring my stuff here, they always do a good job with my dry cleaning and I had a pair of pants hemmed here once The wait time for your stuff isn’t bad I think i only waited like 3 – 4 days for a sweater i dropped off here last time. I’ve never had a bad experience here the closest i’ve come was, last year I needed my suit dry cleaned for a wedding and it was an emergency, so i took it here and i told her i would pay extra i don’t care how much but i need it in like 5 days. The lady told me to come back on a Thursday, i go thursday and the lady goes come back on the weekend its not ready yet, so i told her i need it done by Saturday and she said that it would be ready first thing Saturday morning, well Saturday morning I woke up early and camped outside the door because i was cutting it close and when I go pick up the suit the lady goes its not ironed yet come back at 4pm and it’ll be done. But there wasn’t anymore time so I just told her i needed the suit and went home with it even though it was all wrinkled.
But overall this place is decent as far as Dry Cleaners go.

They have been my dry cleaners for the past 5 years and provide outstanding service. I especially appreciate that my cloths come back with out any chemical oder. In fact it was the first establishment of it’s kind I found locally to not reek of chemicals when you walk in.
I appreciate that they catch little things like a broken button that gets replaces or a small tear that gets mended. They also do very good alterations.
I also appreciate their honesty. I have a favorite Epcot Center white windbreaker jacket that was seriously trashed. They told me «Some stains may not come out but we will try». They saved it from the trash. Made me very happy.

Excellent customer service! I called in to ask if they could do same-​day service on my gray suit (klutz me spilled coffee shop over my pants) and they honored my request! The press was professional and crisp (but not overly so) and the price is very good for being same day service on a suit! The cherry on top is that the owner was a very warm, friendly lady who really cares about her customers!
TL;DR version: great price, great job on cleaning, great service!

They’re great; quick, friendly, and invested the $ 50k necessary to have organic/​non-​carcinogenic chemicals in their dry cleaning process. Which, all things being equal, I’d rather not have Perc absorbing into my skin.

I’ve been going here for years, conveniently located for me by Trader Joes. Always been happy with their services. I don’t know why people are acting like they are so pricey, I called around and they were cheapest on cleaning men’s suits at $ 13.00 which is what I mainly get done.

I brought my sweater in for a buttonhole. Instead of telling me she didn’t know how to do it on a knit fabric, she cut a hole way too big then tried unsuccessfully to make it smaller. The damage was done, she ruined my sweater. Don’t take anything there for alterations!

I’ve needed some suits dry cleaned and tailored and altered. They’ve always taken good care of me. The price may not have been the greatest, but the service made it worth it. I’m going to go back again and again for more dry cleaning and alterations. I’ve had really bad experiences at other local dry cleaners, but Smithridge Cleaners always is responsible and seems to care about your clothing.

Great service, great prices, and a very friendly staff. Smithridge Dry Cleaners is the best cleaners I’ve used.

I feel a need to write a review, given the individual who gave them a one star review. I have had multiple repairs done here, and I have been really happy with their service. The prices were reasonable, and they were attentive to my needs. I have also been happy with their dry cleaning services, which are green so you can feel better about dry cleaning your clothes. Like AnnMarie W., I have really enjoyed my interactions and conversations with Sun and her daughter.

Thanks to Unilocalers I went Smithridge to have my new dress altered. Sun, the owner, is really super sweet and made sure the alteration was perfect. Her daughter is great too. I highly recommend them!!!

Great services, reasonable prices. Willing to work with their customers, many Dry Cleaners don’t refund or offer alternative services.

I brought a very special dress that I have purchased for a wedding to be hemmed. I pinned the area to be hemmed and was very specific about what area of the dress needed to be hemmed. When I picked the dress up a foot of fabric was cut off (the side that was to be left alone, and was not pinned), and the hem job looked like a 10– year old attempted to sew a hem. It was horrendous. There are no words to explain the devastation, not to mention the cost of the dress that now looked like a cheer-​leader would wear it. I feel strongly that the alterations team is incompetent. Professional seamstresses know how to sew a hem in a dress, and would never cut-​off a foot of fabric (that was not pinned) without a clear understanding of what the customer wants. I am truly saddened, as this dress was beautiful.
I was refunded 25 dollars, but the loss was 125 $ and now I need to find a dress in less than a week.
Please learn from my mistake. Do not bring your important items here to be altered.

Horrible alterations service here. They are completely unreliable and would never take my clothes here again. They do not follow instructions and ruin your clothes. Beware of this location, horrible service.

I’ve had a few things cleaned here, but I’ve mostly used them for tailoring. They are always quick, prices are reasonable and very friendly. I like that I can take something in and get in back in less than a week (pants taken in a size, or a zipper on a pair of jeans repaired) and they don’t charge a huge rush fee.
