Do not go to this doctor. First read the other 1 star reviews (even the reviews Unilocal puts in the «Not currently recommended» page). The accounts are true. This man had no respect for me as a patient. No compassion, no caring. He did not even touch my skin. He dismissed everything I said with such smugness – it just hurt – on top of my painful skin condition! No care was provided to me whatsoever. I wouldn’t wish my experience on anyone, so please go somewhere else.

I went to Dr Krause twice. He’s very nice and explains everything, such as the pros and cons of different medications. He prescribes over the counter medications if possible, otherwise generics. (CeraVe is much better than Nivea or Eucerin.) Highly recommended.

My family has been patients of Dr Krause since the early 1990’s.
Just yesterday, my husband and I went in for a scheduled appointment to have the good doctor look at an alarming spot that had developed on my husbands nose over the last 6 months.
The office staff has always treated us nicely. We only waited a few minutes before being taken back to an exam room — which is always spotless.
Seated in the exam room the doctor joined us in under ten minutes! That was great. Once thing I hate is waiting forever because the practice is running behind.
The exam only took a few minutes — done with all the state of the art equipment there wasn’t any prepping the area with chemicals, taking a sample to go under the microscope, etc… like the old days.
The doctor gave us an instant diagnosis we were ever so grateful to hear (no skin cancer). No need to remove. Just keep an eye on it.
He took the time to answer my questions. Never felt rushed as I do with my general practice doctor.
We paid cash as we have no health insurance of any kind — not even Medicaid. It was more than reasonable cost wise.
This is exactly why we always choose Dr Krause each and every time we needed a dermatologist over the last 20 plus years.

Just saw him today for a suspicious growing spot. I have a family history of melanoma and lots of risk factors along with this new unusual growth. He asked nothing about my history, was completely dismissive, and then froze the spot there in his office. Now I get home and did some research and fun that I should have had a biopsy regardless. He also told me nothing about what to expect from the procedure except that if it came back or looks weird in a couple of weeks to see him again. Not a chance! Do not ever go to this man or allow anyone you care about to go to him. Awful.
