The Bagel Stand

I have a love/​hate relationship with the Bagel Stand. I love their bagels. I hate when I stop in to buy one, and end up buying three — and eat them all on the way home. HA!
My favorite bagel is the «Everything» bagel, which has poppy seeds, salt, onions, and whatever else is considered «everything». Then I’ll spot some yummy looking confection-​like thingie, and have to buy one of THEM. So on my way home I’ve just gained 2 pounds. Nevertheless, I LOVE going here. I have to make the decision when I leave work in the morning. Turn left to hit the freeway heading home, or turn right and pass the Bagel Stand.

This place is great! They are amazing bagels for being made outside NY or Detroit, and at elevation! The staff is super friendly and very helpful!

The bagels here are for sure the best in town! And the guys at work at The Bagel Stand are great!

If you’re looking for a yummy breakfast– try The Bagel Stand! I would drive out of my way, every morning before work just to get a bagel here.
My favorites: Plain toasted bagel with their strawberry cream cheese or a breakfast bagel with Ham & Bacon. Mmm. Being a stay at home Mom has it’s perks but I do miss my morning bagel.
I would have given it 5 stars except they don’t carry Red Bull– even though I asked the owner to add them to their beverage selection. (It’s been a few months since I’ve been there so if they do carry it now, please let me know) That, and they close early. There are many times I have wanted a bagel or other treat from there mid afternoon– only to be disapointed because it was closed.

Great local restaurant! I’ve been going here for years. The bagels are always good and the sandwiches are yummy. Also, you get to support local businesses which is a good thing. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for good bages/​breakfast!

This place is awesome! I have had almost the entire sandwich menu and still haven’t come across one I didn’t like!
The bagels are always fresh and the spreads that they sell are great!
Coffee’s good too, supporting some local producers!
Staff is funny and have always lead me to the next great sandwich.
Since it’s right down the street for me, I’ll be a breakfast/​brunch customer for a long time.
The only down side is the hours. They close early, which is understandable as the business is mostly morning. But the hours need to be posted a bit more clearly.

I don’t normally travel this corner of McCarran, but I was passing through, so I thought I would pick up a bagel and a coffee. It was TASTY! I like that their bagels aren’t overly huge, and I love that you get your bagel pre-​cream-​cheesed and wrapped in foil. I was made a pretty decent latte, too. I wish that this spot was more convenient to me, because I would like to sample more of their bagel selection… they have a great menu!
My only complaint is that the place is oddly set-​up. It may not be fair to knock a business for unacceptable Feng Shui, but it feels very crowded at the front counter, overly spacious in the back, and the condiment/​coffee stirring stations were oddly located, causing me to have to travel back and forth between different spots to put sugar in my coffee, throw away the straw, and get a napkin. Add to this the incredibly bright sunlight glaring through the front windows, and the whole atmosphere made me not want to hang around.

I went to the Bagel Stand to try their famous Hawaiian Shaved Ice and it was delicious. It was worth the two trips. We went there Saturday and they close at noon. I was highly annoyed. Their hours aren’t great, but the shaved ice was awesome. I loved it. I also tried one of their bagels and they are also tasty. Their cream cheese is like something out of a dream. It is seriously worth the trip to try the shaved ice and a bagel too.
