I really like the pizza here so I bragged to my entire family from florida, virginia and tennessee about it. I previously rated them a 5, however I had to change it because today(after my entire family craved it after our comments of its amazingness) I called beforehand to see how much it would be for 4 pizzas for pickup and she told me it was half off but I’d have to come in, to clarify I asked«can I drive there order in and pick up» she said yes so I drove 30 minutes to order these pizzas mouth watering and all just for them to give me an attitude«no its only if you DINE in» why the **** didn’t you say that on the phone before wasting over an hour of my life? I enjoy the pizza here but service is just as important if not more important than the product. After today I will never be back. Not only did I not get the pizza I wanted but I also was totally embarrassed for even bragging about it. Good job pun n sub. I probably still would have come and spent the $ 100 if she would have been clear on the phone. No longer worth the drive.

My family has been going here for decades, my dad remembers it opening. We have always loved the food and the atmosphere(that’s what earned the two stars), but recently it seems things have really gone down hill. My sister and I ordered from there around 6:00 pm on mother’s day to have a nice night in with our mom. First of all, we ordered pizzas and salad, and then we were told they were out of lettuce so they can’t do salad, we said that was fine and placed the pizza order. We were told they would deliver to us and it should only be about 45 minutes. We paid with a credit card over the phone. An hour later we got a call saying that the delivery driver couldn’t make it in and that we could cancel or we could come in and pick it up ourselves. I asked if they had already started making the order and the girl said yes, and that it would be ready in about ten minutes if we still wanted it. So we said okay and we arrived to pick up our order ten minutes later. When we got there, I told them my name and asked if my order was ready and all I got was blank stares. Finally they brushed me off by telling me that it would just be a couple minutes. An HOURLATER they called my name and said my order was ready. I went up and it was only one pizza and the wrong one at that. They told me there must be someone else with my name there. But I doubt it because I heard them say another girl’s name right after and she took that pizza and we did not have the same name. While I waited for my real order, a handful of other customers came in and ordered and received their order all before I got mine that I had placed two hours ago. About another hour later they finally brought out my actual order. The cook, upon seeing my face said, «sorry for the wait, did you, like, already pay?» so I said yes, I paid over the phone, and he said, «sorry about that…» and walked off. I didn’t wanna seem pushy and I was tired, so we just left. But I’m pretty mad that I didn’t get my pizzas until THREEHOURS after I ordered it, and there was not a discount or anything, plus all the staff seemed really out of it. TL;DR: We’ve been long time, loyal customers but this past year has been rough there, this was just the worst of my recent experiences there. MANAGEMENT needs to step in and get the staff in shape. Worst service and of my entire life, which is a real disappointment for my entire family. We will not be giving them business until we see/hear that things have gotten better again.

Ever had pizza with no pizza sauce? Well, I have. i spent $ 23 on a Treehugger that had barely any sundried tomatoes, no walnuts, lettuce substituted for the spinach — you heard me: when the staff ran out of spinach, they thought lettuce a valid substitute because, according to the management ‘they were doing the best they could’ — and… no sauce. As it was a to-go pizza, i only discovered this heinous creation when i had gotten home, starving, taking two bites before… chewing…and…wondering…why this pizza tastes… like nothing. Because, in case you are wondering, pizza with no sauce tastes. like. nothing. It tastes like chewing on a $ 20 bill– which i would like back so i launched a dispute w my bank to get my $ 23 back. Apparently the staff thinks your meal is a joke. i hope it was edible to raccoons as it went straight into the trash. Please refer to my photo for this sad disaster. I went to Trader Joe’s that night and got their $ 43-Cheese pizza. It was delicious.

Haven’t been here in years! Brought the oldest for his first visit as it would soon be a staple for him. In an effort to show him some options — we ordered a pizza, meatball sub(came with fries), and some wings. The pizza was the star of the show — lots of cheese, great crust and plenty of toppings. The meatball sub was good. Nothing to call home about, but good. Could have used more sauce, but once again the mozzarella made it. The wings were good — we got mild bbq. Came with ranch and garlic bread also. The wings were on the small side, but well done and had nice flavor. The fries were meaty and also cooked well. With all we ordered, there was a ridiculous amount of food for $ 34. He has leftovers for two days. The place hasn’t changed, and it shouldn’t anytime soon as it works. Nice value in a college type setting for the kids.

First time having them and We will never order from here again. They don’t even deserve 1 star. We ordered delivery. First I wanted to even know if they delivered to me, I asked 3 times and the girl on the phone wouldn’t tell me till I gave her my order. I do not want to go thru and place a order and then at the end they can’t deliver. But gave her my order. She said will be 30 – 45 mins. Over 1 hr later, still no food or call. I called the store back and the guy said the driver was just leaving and he also had another order. 2HRSNOWANDNOFOOD(it’s now after 11pm). the driver finally calls and says he’s on his way but couldn’t find my place… turns out, the annoying chick on the phone wrote the wrong address. Great! .10 mins later he shows up. We aren’t mad at the driver, he didn’t do anything but he pissed off my gf. She went to get the food at the front gate, she asked him for the managers name and the guy and the girl there tonight. He said the girl is a ditz but wouldn’t give the her name and he won’t give the cooks Name(who had attitude on the phone). And that he wouldn’t sell out«his brother » .signed the receipt and just went back in. Our food was cold!.. we had pizza, onion rings and garlic bread. nothing was even warm and the rings were mushy. Now I’m pissed. I’m usually the calm one and see both sides first but not tonight. First time having them and this experience was so bad that we will not go back to them. I will be calling them back tomorrow.

Ate at the Pun N Sub recently – it had been a long time – and nothing has changed except the faces behind the counter. This place is timeless. I have nothing new to add, but I just wanted to update this review. Tree Hugger: still one of the best pizzas in town.

Awesome environment inside and out. Pool table inside and tons of outdoor seating. Pizza, subs, and wings are all amazing. Cheap and great quality– you couldn’t ask for more. College students are mainly their biggest draw being next to UNR but if you don’t fit their target demographic no one really bats an eye. My fiancée and I love it. Seriously though their wings go with everything. Definitely a must order.

The customer service could use a quick kick in the butt; I think they’re staffed by a bunch of angry college hippies who think they have something better to do. But my God, their TreeHugger Pizza is out of this world.

I will start by saying I love their food. Some of their employees need an attitude adjustment though. Dirty blonde girl with shoulder length hair and a nose ring took our order and was decent, nothing special though. We got our burgers before the sandwich(after waiting 20 minutes, which is okay except that sandwiches take less time?) I waited a little longer and walked up just to ask politely about it, to which the girl that took our order rudely responded«I CALLEDYOURNAME» okay, you little brat, you may have called it but neither of us heard you and you must have called it only once and walked passed us to do other things at least 5 times while watching us wait. Wanted to go rip my tip our of the tip jar, but remained civil. What a horrible way to treat customers though. –Andy R

Husband had the #1 half which is still LARGE, but I ordered the Italian sausage I think the young girl forgot to put in my order to the kitchen. Finally the older man was sitting down eating his lunch noticed I kept looking back at the kitchen asked me what did you order? then came and told me it would be out in a minute. It was good but it was chopped up sausage that’s not what I thought it would be I envisioned a hot dog like sausage. My husband had already finished his so he had to sit and wait for me to finish. I like the food so I’ll probably be back.

I give the food 5 stars. This review is for the girls that work there… in the 10 minutes I was there, this hippy girl made it clear that she was vegan and is not a drinker of soda. We get it… your customers could care less as you make their meat and cheese sandwiches. I didn’t get a soda, but she told me «how bad it was.» We get it… Then the second time I went there I had already ordered, ate, and went out to my car to grab a birthday card for someone we were with. In the time I go out and come in(less than a minute) one of the waitresses wouldn’t let me pass unless she checked my ID. Ok, I understand you guys probably got busted to selling to minors, but why didn’t you check it when I ordered that blue moon from you a half hour ago? And there were children everywhere that night! My friends and I were beyond annoyed about how she had the audacity to check my ID as a 5 year old was running around. All n all, the guys that work there are super nice, but the women they hire are nothing but sassy, and opinionated. Just make my sandwich… all your good for

February 21, 2016 Sunday — 2:15PM for a late lunch 2 adults Atmosphere — 4 stars Food — 5 stars Service — 4 stars Background — My friend picked the place out and I agreed with his choice. Atmosphere — Part of the University of Nevada campus life. I never attended but this clearly a popular hangout for the students. Food Drinks — Lagunitas Day Time. My Main Course — I had the sub, which a perfect lunch for me. I had the #1. These are old subs. They make their subs the way it was done before Subways ruled the land of sub shops. I love it. This was a solid sandwich and reminded how subs were, and how good they were. Service –You wait in line to get to the register to take your order. Some of the menu board is covered with other signs hanging from the ceiling. So you need to work your angels to read all board. You place your order, collect your money, and you can even pay for your beer before going to the bar. There are too many choices without looking at the wall of beer bottles and taps. When you food is ready they call your name and you just pick it up. Future — Sure.

Went with a co-worker for lunch, decided to split a combo pizza(pepperoni, sausage, onions, olives and mushrooms) asked for it cooked well done, price was $ 21.45, it was 14 inch pizza. It was okay, flimsy in the middle, toppings were decent on one side vs. the other, which looked desert like, which at over $ 20 seems a little ridiculous, there should be attention to detail, and most especially giving good value for your money! It took longer to get than expected, but was filling, didn’t shy away on the cheese! We each ate 4 pieces, and tried to divy up the pieces that has more toppings vs. the ones that were topping absent. Overall okay experience, not rushing back for a pizza, but wouldn’t mind trying a sub!

The Pub & Sub has typical bar far and some damn tasty Pizza. A decent sized dining room but also a patio in front and a huge backyard with seating. My favourite spot is out back. It’s enclosed so you get a private feel despite being smack in the middle of a residential neighborhood. So despite having been here numerous times before I did not know about their weird happy hour-hours. Friday night at 6:30 pm we order a pizza and some fries and go to pay(order and pay then find a seat) and I think she must have made some mistake. Nope! It happened to be happy hour so half off pizza(plus $ 1)…on a FRIDAY night. Color this girl stoked! They have all kinds of great specials throughout the week. Totally worth checking out because the pizza is super freaking tasty, as are the fries.

Some of the food here is good. Some of it is only mediocre. Service is a little hit or miss(more hit than miss). This is definitely a college bar. They’ve got some nights with specials and it can get very busy. They do have some outdoor seating in a back yard and on a front deck. You can tie a dog up to the front deck. They focus on subs and pizzas. I’m usually happier with the pizzas. They do wings as well, but they aren’t my favorite. They are well positioned and serve as the nearest bar/restaurant for a lot of people just west of the university.

This place definitely brings me back to my college party days, in a really good way! Their pizzas have the perfect cheese: sauce: grease ratio. Also, I have no idea what they put in their ranch dressing but it’s way too good to be ignored. If you’re looking for somewhere casual to unwind and have a few beers or watch the game, this the first place I would recommend you go.

Killer sandwich with a backyard seating area! One of my favorite lunch spots. not much variety but simplicity is well executed here.

I like this place. The location makes it to where there are less people since it’s off the path. I like how they offer sandwiches, pizzas, and appetizers. There is a bar in the back serving beers on tap and bottled. No mixed drinks. The business has picnic tables throughout for dining and a pool table near the front door. This is a great place to grab a beer and a bite. I popped a tire today in front of their business. I was ok with the tire situation because I knew I would soon be happy with pizza and beer in my belly. Sure enough the stop did the trick. I walked out feeling satisfied and not obsessing over the 50 min walk ahead of me. Thanks Pub n’ Sub!

Pub N Sub… a concept combining two of my favorite things in the world! So why did it take me so long(7 years) to finally get in here? I don’t know, but I’m sure glad I did! A friendly staff, warm atmosphere, big tables with red checked cloths, a menu filled with great hot and cold sandwiches, pizzas made on homemade dough, and wings and all your fried pubby favorites spelled home sweet home for me! Add in a sweet selection of frosty cold beverages, TVs and a constant stream of great locals pouring through the door, and it becomes clear why this place is a true local favorite. Tucked away up on a hill in a residential part of town near the university, the location is really cool. The drive up takes you on a windy road passed all the Greek houses and offers a nice view of the city. The restaurant is surrounded by homes, and if I were a college student, this is where I’d want to be. As I pulled into the parking spot, I noticed a guy loading 20+ to-go orders into his car and some huge sacks of flour being carried into the restaurant. It felt right, and as I came to grab lunch, I walked in, noticed the big fresh loaves of bread and slicer on the counter, glanced at the menu and ordered a «half» #1 sub, which is a 9″ roll with prosciutto, ham, salami, cappicola, and pepperoni, and cheese. I had mine with the«regulars» aka tomato, lettuce, onion, mayo, oil & vinegar, S&P, and oregano. Mmmmm. The roll was soft but dense enough to hold up to everything inside, and the meats were sliced fresh, and the veggies were crunchy and delicious. It took me a while to get through the«half» sandwich, which left me very satisfied. The hardest part of this visit was trying to do my work while listening to everyone around me order things! They all sounded and looked sooooo good! I saw a huge pizza come out to two dudes at the table next to me that looked amazing(all sorts of meat with just the right amount of crisp put on em), an order of garlic fries were demolished by a couple a little bit later, and last was this guy that ordered a hot chicken sub that made me hungry all over again. Here’s a suggestion for ya Pub N Sub! Other places have mug clubs, but I think you need a SUBCLUB! Try all the combinations and get a sandwich named after you and be immortalized in the hallowed halls of subdom! One visit and I’m now on a mission impossible to try em all. I’ll either do it, or go down fighting!
