I cannot believe that they charge $ 100 a night for this place! We left that thing in the desert a couple days early and were desperate for a dust free room and shower. Unfortunately, we pulled into Reno during the Best in the West BBQ showdown, or something, and every single hotel we called was completely full! It is overpriced, but at least the Thunderbird Motel is clean and the family that runs it is friendly. It also has a small lot for parking. The location is great, right across the street from Silver Legacy, and they the beds seriously vibrate! I couldn’t believe it when I saw the machine for the quarters. I would stay here again just for the novelty. Just make sure that it is plugged in.

It’s a cheap room in Reno. Go out and drink and gamble and bring some hot sex back to your room. Why the fuck else are you in Reno, the theaters and the opera houses?

Well, I wouldn’t recommend this motel for a guy that likes sparkling clean rooms. The rooms looked plain and bland, the lighting was dark and dim, even with all the lights on. The AC didn’t work even when it was 80 – 90 degrees outside. Even worse, there was no free wi-fi, clearly I expected more of a motel that cost me $ 124 a night. If you’re the type of guy that doesn’t care and just wants a some sleep, feel free to come, but if you want good rooms that really represent how much you’re paying for, steer clear.
