Sold me a version of Windows7Pro that they know would not work, then pulled the no returns on software trick. Stole $ 52.79 from me for a worthless disk. Thanks for wasting my time.

I purchased 2 used laptops here recently. One locked up after a few days of use(past 7 day return) and became unusable. These guys did not figure out, but claimed it was a virus and«removed» it, to no avail. I had to pay a real tech to solve the problem, which turned out to be a security software that was installed by the previous owner, and was not removed. Since thier buisness is buying/selling used corporate computers you would think they could attend to this matter. So beware…

I bought a used laptop for a conference I was attending and didn’t want to buy something too expensive. I located Used Computer Warehouse via the web and they had a nice web site, so I assumed the business was legitimate. The first time I turned on my «new» laptop the diagnostic reported«no hard drive.» So I went back to return it, but was unable to do so since it had been 7 days post purchase. Luckily they allowed for me to exchange it without any questions asked since I was heading out of town and didn’t have any time for it to be serviced. I went on to fully charge the second laptop. Not only did the second computer need 117 Microsoft updates after connecting to the Internet, but it crashed within 5 minutes after removing it from the charger, and is apparently unable to hold any sort of battery charge. Whether or not they replace it is not the issue here: the inconvenience of having to discover such issues after spending $ 300 and then return to the store on multiple occasions without the ability to return the piece of junk is a complete waste of money and time. Furthermore, when I called the store to explain the issue and give advance warning about the need to return the computer for the a second time, I was met with complete indifference. No «I’m sorry this happened to you and we’d like to make it better.» And not even a suggestion or recommendation for how to deal with the battery issue in the meantime. I would not recommend ever buying a computer from here.

I bought a machine from here sometime back and I’ve had several clients get computers here and they(and I since I have to support them) and have been happy with the machines and the follow up that this place has if something goes wrong. Most recently(May 2012) I had a client get a Dell laptop that while it was a little worn on the outside the screen, palmrest and trackpad were in ‘new’ condition. Plus he got it at an amazing price. My only warning about this place is that the last few machines I’ve had people bring to me are missing the Windows key code at the bottom of the machine and running different versions of windows than they came with. The machines appear to be running a modified version of the BIOS that activates Windows 7 and makes it appear legit — but be warned that if you take it anywhere for support — or contact Microsoft — you may be on your own.

I needed to replace our desktop that my 15 year old daughter uses for homework and basic web surfing but I didn’t want to buy a new one. I went in thinking I wanted to buy a new«used» computer and the salesman suggested that maybe we just needed some new parts rather than a new computer. I went home looked at the specs on her computer and concluded he was right. All I needed to do was buy more RAM. I went back the next day, purchased some RAM which he installed for free and was on my way. Very honest guys that could have sold me a 300 computer but ended up selling me just what I needed and saved me 250.00.

Bought a «cheap» computer from these folks about a month ago and vaguely heard them tell me about a 30 day warranty on parts, stuff, etc… So, sure as murphys law, my computer craps out at 32 days after I bought it off these guys. So I unplug all my b/s and load the box into the car, and the whole way down thinking to myself all the angst I’m going to spew knowing that they’re not going to honor a 30 day warranty since it’s been 32 days. Woof, I was pissed! Got my computer back today. No charge. They couldn’t figure out what was wrong w/the HD, but since they, «knew I wanted my computer back» decided to just give me a new box. Wow, I take back all that nasty things that I’d thought up in my head and was convinced I’d have to say to them in a futile attempt at getting what I wanted. No, they just gave me what I wanted w/o saying anything. Weird… they’re computer geniuses, and they read minds too. My opinion of their shop… model of customer service, fast turn-around, and really glad they’re local and 10min. drive. UCW rocks!
