Love this place! It is such a great deal and always an awesome time! I enjoy playing some of the old games and new pinball! The new 4 person pac man is pretty sweet! I would strongly suggest it!

We’ve been here about 3 times and we really love this place! I wish they had the original Guantlet. That newer one is pretty lame. The 4 player Pac Man is awesome! It isn’t merely 4 peeps playing Pac Man. It’s player vs. player Pac Man! SO much fun! I wish they had less Pinball, though. I fail to see the joy in that. Also, can you maybe get a better beer? I’d recommend passing on the Blue Moon next time and getting the Pyramid Apricot(or Shock Top) instead. It has fruit flavors and doesn’t have a need for an orange slice… which you shouldn’t need for a beer in the first place. Just saying. Or, if you really want to impress, why not try getting the Leffe Blonde. You can buy it at Safeway, so I can’t imagine it being too hard for you to get. Just something I feel would make me want to stay longer is better beer choices. Also, maybe ask people to not hang out at the Pac Man table with their buds? I hate feeling like a butt, but that’s the whole reason we come by… I’ve tried asking and mostly people are nice about it, but some people are not so nice. Thanks!

Who wouldn’t love a standalone arcade! I gave 4 stars only because they lack more classics like Dig Dug, or even those multicade machines.

This place sucks! The attitudes of the people working here completely ruin it for me. I used to love this place for the games and atmosphere but the quality of employees is severely lacking. They obviously don’t care about their jobs or how they speak to paying returning customers. They seem to be bothered by all customers and do the bare minimum for«work». the owners/managers should really step up and find new happy employees to represent their company in a positive light. Very disappointed with my visit to 8bit Arcade today. And as someone in customer service myself, I expect more.

This place just exudes awesomeness! One gets to play 80’s video games and relive their childhood with the exception of having a beer in hand. Beer and video games! What a great combo! There are also numerous pinball machines, which I suck at but nonetheless still so much fun! The games usually cost only a quarter. They do have a change machine but I advise bringing a roll of quarters so you get down to playing right away. Great place to visit if you’re in the area and want to have some fun and kill some time. It’s especially more fun when you get to kick your friends’ butts at some of the old school games! *grin*

80s-era video games are hard. 80s-era video games while buzzed are really hard. 80s-era video games while drunk are impossible. That basically summarizes my experience playing games here. Love that almost all the video games here still only cost a quarter. Pinball costs $ 0.50 — which I can understand. There are lots of moving parts in there, afterall. The décor is a little divey and the space is a little cramped. But you’re pretty much guaranteed a happy fun time coming here so that’s always awesome.

Such an awesome place! Bring a roll of quarters and relive many games from your childhood. I love their giant selection of pinball machines. You can also get pizza and beer! Doesn’t get much better than that. The place is always clean and everyone is super friendly. I recommend this place to everyone I know visiting Seattle. There is a quarter machine in the bar as well if you don’t have quarters on you. They also provide cups to carry your coins around in.

I love this place! Great variety of arcade games. I love the old school mechanical games. There are a few here that I have never seen before. The negative is some of the machines need repair. The Time Pilot ’84 joystick is rough. I recall last time Super sprint, maybe one of the steering wheels didn’t work. But the amazing thing is the games take quarters. $ 20 will last you hours. The pizzas are frozen and ok. Beer selection was alright but good. I wish this place offered more food options. But as is it is great budget entertainment.

This may be Renton’s gem. I was about to type ~hidden gem~ but I am not going to act like I’m the expert of Renton and know about how popular places are down there. It was my first time visiting beautiful historic downtown Renton and 8 bit stole the show. Maybe I just really wanted to play old school Super Mario that night. I dunno. The place was packed to the brim with arcade games and all for 25 cents. 25 cents! Pinball, shoot’em up, button mashers(I played one where a girl in a very small outfit beat up a big burly dude on an Asian street… and won! She jumped, levitated, and kicked him in the FACE!)…any game type you can think of, it’s there. Along with a decent cheap beer selection, it would be a great spot for a dudebro night or date night, really. They also have items like milkshakes and kid friendly(perhaps drunk man friendly as well) comfort foods. The food maker/attendant was friendly and very helpful as to where to find quarters, etc. Driving away from beautiful historic downtown Renton, I watched a fist fight on the corner(I slowed down to watch, don’t worry). I suspect they’d have a better time duking it out at 8 bit instead, me thinks.

This place is pretty wonderful. You get to relieve childhood arcade angst and triumph with alcohol in hand. Perfect. There are at least 10 pinball machines and over 15 arcade games. They range from $ 0.25 to $ 0.50, so be prepared and bring at least $ 6 in quarters. If you are not a person to jingle as you walk, they do provide a quarter machine by the restrooms. The beers are from Big Al’s Brewery in White Center(yes!) and they have bottled options as well. The truly amazing thing is that they currently have Semi-sweet AND Dry Seattle Cider in a can! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH. ALso, they have Angry Orchard in a can. I have spent a few nights blowing my money on terribly played Galaga and The Lost World shooting game. I love coming with a group and alone. Week nights are definitely the least busy and the most fun for those wanting to bounce around and try all the games. After 9p kids are kicked out and only the big kids are allowed to stay to enjoy drinking and arcade games. Come check this place out. They have frozen pizzas they can cook for you, too. Pizza, cider, video games. A night designed in heaven.

Definitely not a place to go if you’re planning to eat. The pizzas are $ 10-$ 13, they’re small and they’re frozen! Not worth what you pay smh. The bartender was kinda minding his business; a little apathetic, not so welcoming, but not rude or anything. HH from 4 – 6 M-F. The pizza and initial vibe was so not what I expected but things definitely turned up after our disappointing pizza meal. 3 stars, instead of 2 because alcohol and video games??? Haaaaillll yeah! The pizza and first impression definitely disappointed me so I’m leaving it as a 3 for now. BUT, alcohol + games definitely redeemed some points! They have 2 player games, pacman, galaga, LOTS of pinball, racing games, that one Simpsons game, shooting games. The machines are very old-school, so don’t expect something like gameworks or round 1. It’s kinda dirty, old, dark and dingy but nothing a little alcoholic intoxication can’t fix. A fun, cheap place to drink and chill. Bring $ 5 for the change machine, and another $ 5 for a beer and you’re good to go! Tonight I learned i can make top scores two beers in haha, so fun! …Just skip the pizza!

So much potential. As a megafan of classic games this seemed like a great place. I walked in here on a Tuesday afternoon /evening and I saw three guys standing around, fixing an arcade cabinet. I wandered around the basically-empty place for a few seconds then went over to them. Stood in front of them, and one of the guys looked at me. Thought maybe he worked there. We stared at each other for a bit and he said nothing. I wandered around a bit longer, saw one guy playing a pinball machine, and came back to the bar counter. Another guy was there; he’d been waiting a little bit like I had. An employee finally emerged from among the three and talked with him about buying a soda. The employee didn’t address me or ask if I needed anything. I noticed they had an ATM and change machine, but at that point I wasn’t interested any more. How anyone can ignore their customers and expect to succeed with their business, I’m not sure.

Absolutely love the old school arcade games, and they play using quarters like back in the day too. There’s about 30 pinball machines too, with everything from South Park to The Walking Dead on them. Drinks and food are modestly priced but the food is pretty generic and bland… If you’re not in to loud obnoxious drunks though I’d avoid Friday nights for sure… apparently the sandwich shop down the street turns in to a very wild club after dark. All in all it was a dose of awesome nostalgia and fun for about an hour.

8 Bit Arcarde Bar is as good as it gets because you will not find another place in King County, maybe in Washington state with free, easy and low traffic street parking, a clean facility to include the restroom, generally non sketchy people and still twenty five and fifty cent prices! Plus, they serve beer! So, one wish you made as a kid has come true for you as a middle aged adult. Plus, after gaming Shari’s 24 hr. restaurant is up the street, so bring your buddies because it’s an all nighter sort of weekend! I can’t find any online sources to tell you what arcade machines are there so I’ll list a few: –Classic NES Super Mario –Tetris –Pacman(table style) –QBert(table style) –Ms. Pacman –Tekken –Tron –Street Fighter –Pole Position(out of order at the time) All I can say, is great for kids in the daytime and wonderful for adults at night. The atmosphere is great but that’s because we’re now all adults.

This place is really fun. For people that like to occasionally go to a bar, not to get drunk but to have something to do late night, listen to music, and be around adults(versus bowling alley full of shrieking teens) this is a great option. There are so many old games that I remember playing for hours 30 years ago. It’s a bar but you can do more than just sit at a table or bar and stare at each other. They seem to have beer only along with some«adult» red slush, soda, and possibly a few other non-alcoholic drinks. They also make pizzas. They have a lot of games that I once played on Atari, as well as mortal kombat, racing games, and pinball. The music is good as well. They have a machine for quarters and I think I also noticed ATM. The staff is pretty friendly. In one old Atari game I lost three quarters. I was sort of assuming that was just a risk to be taken with such old games and I might get a shrug of shoulders from staff. That was not the case. One bartender came to help is out. He got all our quarters back and helped us to get the game to work. We got a free game. It was really nice of him to help us get the game working. This was a fun place and most games were only a quarter which sounds cheap but if you haven’t played these games for 30 years like me it will take you some time to adjust to these old controls.

I was really hoping this place was similar to Dorky’s in Tacoma, but it wasn’t. Dorky’s is way better! First off there were close to about 10 games not working. Considering this place probably only has about 50 games, that is a large percentage not working… Secondly the girl working here was super rude. Whenever I would go up to order beer she wouldn’t say anything at all. She just would stare and set the beer down and walk away. When I asked for the tab it seemed like an inconvenience for her too. Lastly, the location isn’t great. When you leave expect 2 – 3 panhandlers to approach you while walking a block away to get to your car.

I love this place! I’ve gone here twice within the week with my boyfriend because our first date was so much fun. There are some great old school games and a pretty big selection of pinball options. Our favorites included Tekken, the Simpsons game, and an alien one I can’t recall the name of. There’s a change machine in the corner with cups for your coins. Cup holders are conveniently placed around arcade for coin cups and drinks. There’s beer, soft drinks, and pizza available. The pizzas are kept in the fridge and put in the oven as you order. Not made fresh in front of you but honestly it was good and I didn’t mind it too much. Definitely worth checking out!!! Easily one of my favorite places for a fun and casual date night.
