Fred Meyer

This Fred Meyer gives me some weird memories. I love shopping at this Fred Meyer or just any Fred Meyer. Came here to grab some groceries. Its big here and plenty of parking in the parking lot. This Fred Meyer is no different compared to any other Fred Meyer but from the looks of it, I think it has been here for a super long time.
Friendly and helpful staff. There stocks are pretty good. I mean I am able to get what I need.

Came in to get cash from the Chase ATM inside. Bought Girl Scout cookies from the girls at the entrance :) yummy! Staff is always friendly here!

I enjoy shopping at Fred Meyers.
This store is clean, well organized, and their prices are very reasonable.
Great quality fresh produce, large selection of organic and healthy items, Housewares, small appliances, Electronics, Clothing, Auto, Gardening, Daycare, Pharmacy, Money Orders, Utility Pay Center, and the list goes on.
You earn points redeemable for FM gas discount, customer service is very good.

I’ve been coming to this Fred Meyer since I moved to Washington over a year ago. I think it is safe to say I can review it properly now. I’ll just give an overall opinion of each section I shop in. I never buy clothes from them so I can’t really review them on that.
Pharmacy: almost perfect! I use them to pick up my prescriptions and they’re fast and efficient. The only problem o ever had was using the phone service to refill my prescription. I used the automatic service to get a refill and went to pick it up an hour later. I want to say around 1 – 1:30? I tell them I called in my prescription and they said it was ready for pick up at 3. What? The machine never asks for a time it gives a time! It was no big deal but slightly annoying…
Home Décor/​Furniture: The home décor is pretty basic. Some cute items here and there but not a one stop shop for furnishing and decorating a new home. We bought a few bar stools but they are pretty shoddy quality so I really can’t recommend anything more than some candles or picture frames.
Bath & Beauty: They have great brand for makeup and bath stuff but they have been terrible at restocking! I love Tree Hut products and Dr. Teals for myself. More than half the times I’ve been there the shelves have been emptied of certain products or one lone item will be in the wrong area. It’s frustrating and restocking is overall the biggest problem with this location.
Grocery: Jesus get it together Fred Meyer! This is where I buy groceries with my birdied but every time we encounter something unacceptable! Failure to restock a product (sometimes for several weeks) or way past due date stock is sitting right next to a fresh produce! During July my boyfriend and I kept checking the mayo aisle and mayo that expired in May and June was still l. The shelves got a month! They take forever to restock but once it’s on the shelves it’s there until the next presidential election! In case you think this is a rare occupancy I’ve seen moldy bread and produce sitting out to rot the fresh stuff.
Bakery: They get their own review! 0 STARS! Safeway has way more variety and twice the quality. I don’t have pictures of both but Safeway and Fred Meyer do tiramisu cake. The tiramisu at Fred Meyer is a joke. They can’t seriously think anyone would pay even a dollar for that crap! The same old items are cranked out in excess with almost no variety. You can’t even buy a coffee cake! Safeway blows them out of the water, but then again, so does literally any grocery store.
Honestly we only go here for certain items and brands we can’t find elsewhere but if I had any other choice it would be Safeway!

Fred Meyer usually advertises happy employees. Yet it is a lie. I came down here and went into the self checkout area. The dreaded area where you don’t want to be bothered so you deal with the finicky machine. This other woman was minding her business bagging her groceries, when the cheap a** grocery bag busts and all her canned Rosaritas go a-​Rollin. These two large Caucasian dudes who worked there were standing and monitoring the self checkout area as if I’m bout to steal something. Yet his eyes failed him when the poor lady spilled her groceries. They did not bother to help. I frantically turn around and help the poor lady pick up her food while the dudes watch. Then I go back to bagging my own food. One of the worker dudes who was watching did not agree with my bagging tactics and suggested I do it a different way so the finicky machine wouldn’t blare at me further. Then he commented «oooh pepper jack!» I sarcastically smirked. Hell yes I know about them spicy cheeses. Anyway why do he got time to critique my bagging and not have time to help people who are struggling? That just rubbed me the wrong way.

Today I shopped at this location. I came to one of the employees and asked if she can show me where the office supplies were and she told me she wasn’t on clock, «I’m not on the clock, so I can’t help you, sorry.» She walks away. Unbelievable!!!
Some employees still not greetings customers when I visited recently and they didn’t take the time to help me when I had questions and she avoided me and continued her stockings. I guess she was trying to get her stockings done on time. Also one of the refrigerator sections had water spilled on the floor and I informed the employee and still I saw no wet floor sign out or see anyone take immediate action to prevent accidents in their store. Too bad. There were a few elders shopping at that area and I had to warn them because they didn’t see the wet floor.
This place can be crowded with shoppers and difficult to find parking. You ended up parking too far if you want to shop here sometimes. Sale associate was nice. However some afraid or avoid their customers. Maybe acknowledged their customers and helped out that would be a plus to their company. When you treat your customers the right way you are working as a team. Represent your company. I will give review again if I see changes next time I shop.

I have nothing but good things to say about this Fred Meyer. Even when I have had a problem, their employees have been quick to respond and eager to find an alternate solution. They have friendly staff, the check out lines are never allowed to get too long and the store is clean. Their store layout makes it easy to find everything but there is always someone available to direct me if I can’t find something. I like Fred Meyers in general for their prices and their Friday Freebies but THIS Fred Meyer I like for its service.

Employees are friendly here and I always find what I need in stock. The layout is easy to maneuver and location is easy to get in and out. I usually park near the Garden area which I have no problem finding a spot.
You can multi-​task your errands, which is a big convenience for me. Chase bank, Salvation Army donation truck outside, gas station, Hallmark store, and plenty of places to eat.

This is my go-​to Fred Meyer location. I’m here all the time, like every day. It’s kinda sad. Haha. Huge store, always fully stocked with product, friendly staff, and easy to navigate. Perfect for a big grocery trip, or even for just a quick run in to grab a few items.
This location has a fuel station, which is nice. Love the gas discounts from buying product from Fred Meyer!
You can basically find anything you need here. It has groceries, clothing, furniture, electronics, garden stuff, as well as a pharmacy and a Chase bank inside. And they have 2 Redbox kiosks! I’ve shopped in all departments. Always very clean, well stocked, and easy to find items. There are employees everywhere, always offering help if needed.
Customer service here is great. Sometimes the lines at the registers back up, but they are always very quick and efficient.
*If you can’t find a store ad at either of the entrances, check by customer service. To the left of the desk is a bookshelf type thing that usually has a ton of them in it!

I go here all the time almost daily different times of the day usually and am astonished on how they never seem to have carts especially on rainy days. You look around the parking lot and find the attendants huddled up in the cart carousels talking to each other. And not for a brief minute either i sat in my car for ten mins watching them yap. really great customer service. NOT

Living in the part of Renton that I live in, I find myself being a regular at this store (hence the gas reward points im always rackin up)
Ill start with the structure of the store. It pretty much has what all Fred Meyers has… which is EVERYTHING. In comparison to other Freddy’s this store is a hair smaller than the neighboring ones (something im keen to). Parking lot is a nice size. There is n o such thing as a bad parking spot here. The layout of the store works to. I pretty much know this store like the back of my hand. Staff is extremely friendly. I have yet to have a negative experience with anyone at the store.
A couple problems that I’ve noticed with the store. First, the produce section. Now I know it sounds kinda prissy of me to gripe about the produce selection, but when I go to the gala apple bins I’m expecting that I can take home any and all apples. not just a select few. A couple times I went for strawberries and they were so moldy I thought I was watching a live microbiology experiment! Another problem I have is when I go shopping for my weekly grocery shopping trip, I cant find a shopping cart to save my life. There are times that I walked around the store with two little baskets in my hands.
At the end of the day Id go back to this store, but only because I don’t have to drive far from home to get some eggs!

I was very pleased with my visit to this Fred Meyer. I got through the line at customer service relatively quickly. Great selection of organic produce. ALL the produce looks absolutely delicious. Fred Meyer is a department store, so you can find clothing, household goods, lawn and garden needs, and much more. The only criticism I have of my shopping experience is that the clothing is over-​priced.

These guys never have shit. I always go to the Fred Meyers on James. Better service and inventory.

Freddie’s is great for the person like me that does t like to stop at 3 different stores for that special certain item. They have most everything at a decent price. Meat, produce, health food sections are great with helpful staff. Pharmacy staff is helpful, too. I like the coupons and gas point discounts, too!
Winco is too dirty, crowded & disorganized. I only go there if it’s after 10 at night.

This is a nice, reliable place to go for groceries. It’s clean and well stocked and the staff members seem competent. Nothing particularly extraordinary about this location but nothing particularly bad either. It’s what you would expect from a grocery store.
I do like that they have a section for different kinda of food (e.g. vegetarian, gluten free, lactose free). I am pleasantly surprised with the selection there.

Bought a 3 day old sandwich that was sold as fresh. The large label hid the wilted lettuce and tomatoes. Stopped eating when I tasted the nasty lettuce and tossed it in the garbage. Yuck
Taught me to read the dates it was made! This hoagie sandwich has a 3 day window! Made on 10.06.2013 sell by 10.09.2013! I am officially finished with buying grocery deli sandwiches unless I watch them make it!

In addition to the «one-​stop-​shopping» concept that others have mentioned, I’m also a big fan of Freddy’s because they have great prices on brand-​name shoes, particularly children’s shoes, and also on housewares… you might be tempted to think you can do better at Target or Walmart on these items, but you can’t. And I love Target for other reasons… such as their extensive selection of professional haircare products, but would never dream of going there for their crappy shoes or over-​priced housewares selection. Just sayin’.

I don’t like being rude but screw it.; I hate ALL Freddy’s with a passion!
Their store layout is absolutely ass backwards. I think whoever designed the layout plans either did it whilst high or they did it with their eyes closed. WHY the hell are the firewood logs next to the dog food and cat litter shit!!! And WHY is that aisle right next to the milk, yogurt and cheese section?
Why is the frozen chicken next to where I buy my cold drinks??!
Why is your «Asian» and «Hispanic» aisle the size of my toilet area?
Why did I literally have to walk around the whole store three (yes, three!) times before I just gave up and concluded you guys are jerks for not carrying Emergen-​C and I should just say eff it and start coughing on your customers!
Why do you guys carry some stuff and not others? For why? I am literally scratching the hell out of my proverbial head over here because I’m all 50 shades of confuzzled. For such a big store you guys sure are a waste of my time. I walk into this store determined and leave angry, confused and disappointed. I kick myself in the ass for not driving a few more miles down to my beloved Safeway.
Screw you Freddy’s. If only you weren’t so close to where I live I promise you I would not step foot in here ever again but because I am lazy I have to… (bows in head shame)

So, I’ve been a customer at this Fred Meyer since 92′. I’ve seen some of the weirdest crap go on with staff and customers. I’ve had a grocery manager try to run my daughter over with a cart because he couldn’t be bothered to look were he was going as he whipped that cart around a corner. Fine. That guy’s a douche.
As the years have passed though, and the shitty customer service people have been fired and replaced, the only constant is Bev.
Bev is the best thing to happen to Fred Meyers in Renton EVER. She knows every name of every customer (or makes it seem as if she does) and seems to honestly care how we’re doing.
That one person makes up for ALL the other shit I’ve had to tolerate at the Fred Meyer closest to my family home.
That’s why four out of five Fred Meyer. Four out of Five because of the efforts of one person.
Now imagine what this Fred Meyer would be like without her.

You really can find everything here. It’s a grocery store, but they sell clothes, furniture, medicine, electronics… The electronic section is a bit small though and to be honest I usually stick to the grocery side.
This is a really convenient, Convenience store since you can find almost anything you need and the location is good!
Good prices on food most of the time and good product selection. The workers here are nice and helpful.
The parking lot is big but the layout is a little weird.
